I just booked a week at the Double Tree in DTD.

:cool1: Just to set the record straight we got a deal 20.03 in 2003 for the downtown disney Marriott hotel not the doubletree suites. that would have been the deal of deals..... :rotfl2: sorry if I confused anyone. :smooth: even at 85.00 I think were all going to be really happy with our rooms........... :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: now were working on walking, walking,walking.....................

Downtown Disney Hotel buses serve all the hotels on Hotel Blvd and follow a schedule, a bus roughly every 1/2 hour. There are different buses for different parks, and you are dropped off for the most part in the parking lot at a particular bus number. It's the same number for each park. The only place this really impacts you is at the MK where you need to travel from the TTC to the MK via ferry or monorail. The water park bus just has a couple of drop-offs in the am and pick-ups in the pm.

The $20.0x rate was something offered in late summer, and to Oct by the former Marriott hotel, now the still not refurbished Holiday Inn. DH and I did 2 budget trips that way. Sometimes we would take WDW transportation to DTD, and then walk back to the hotel, gave us more flexibility. We also walked to Goodings, and the Crossroad PLaza.

Cold Breakfast was included in our Mousesavers rate. There was also a Hot Breakfast you could pay for that was equally good with a cook to order chef, but we stayed with the included one. You are seated and they bring your drinks. We had Melons, Pineapple, Strawberries, Grapes, Bananas, Oranges, Yogurts and variety of toppings like granola, nuts, raisins, a few cold cereals, toast, several muffins, croissants, bagels, donuts, pastries, and variety of spreads. May have been more but that is what I remember.

No early entry, yes to parking fee at the parks, not sure how room numbers work...would just ask for fireworks (or front of resort) view.
