I can speak a new language - southern

Good points Supergoof.

By the way, a better accepted phrase for the recent unpleasantness would be the War for Southern Independance.

My goodness! So much to learn. I think it's much easier to stay a Yankee, we don't have any rules that I'm aware of.;)

I guess I'm just a "natural" Yankee. I speak it and I don't even realize it.:p

Don't listen to those silly myths. We might look at you a little funny when you say something, but it's not hostility, it's wonder.;)

Hi, Hey and Howdy,

I've lived in the Northeast, New England, South, Mid-West, and West. I've enjoyed every section of our wonderful country. I don't have an accent myself (I guess I've picked up something from everywhere.) But I'm pretty good at figuring out where someone is from once I've listened to them a while.

I've also lived in Texas- which I do not include in any region other than Texas. Truly the lone star state. As a result I have Texas in my heart. It will be there forever. I didn't plan it - it just happened - Guess that's why people are Texas Proud. One of my children still lives there so I get to return on a regular basis.

Our country is a wonderful mix of amazing states. I love us.::yes::
