Haha, actually there's a misconception here. When you go around the bend and the other boat comes down, it's not the back splash that gets you wet. They have these hose things they spray at you to make it look like that's whats getting you wet.

We went on it one time when they were down, I cringed as the other boat came down but we didn't get a drop on us.
