how much money to take?

Hey all, i was wondering how much is the cheapest you got away with at wdw?We are going as cheap as we can, but i dont want to not take enough money either,--how much is a good safe amount, its me,dh,7 yo ds and 9 month old.all help is appreciated!!!

I am about the cheapest person I know so here is what we do. We don't buy anything in the parks. We take gatorade frozen from the night before and go back to off-site hotel and eat our meals. I take all groceries down with us (nothing big just goodies and lunchmeat and such) we also take autin crackers and a little candy in with us to the parks. We plan on eatting out once while we are there. We have money for postcards and to mail them. We come from Phio so have to allow for hotel stay on way and on the way home and the gas for the van. We also eat once out on the way home. All in all we spend about $600 and then the hotel stay. (just got Cypress Pointe Grandvillas on skyauction for a week for $265 or around there) so you see it can be cheap if you want it to be. If you want goodies to take home check out the outlets and limit how much you want to spend before you go so you don't wnat everything while you are there. I also recommend getting cheap little Disney stuff before you go so you have stuff for the kids. WE have annual passes that are not included in the above$600.

How long are you going for? Are you referring to just spending money (not money for resort, tickets, etc.)?

Your baby will really cost next to nothing. There's 3 of us (2 adults and an 11 year old) and we take with us around $1000 for souvenirs and food for a week, but only used about $700 on our last trip (the first trip we spent it all). We also haven't done a lot of sit down meals so it depends a great deal on how you choose to eat and how many souvenirs you choose to buy. I've read that some people take $100 per person per day, but we go nowhere near that amount.

im thinking just for souiverneers/character dinner, maybe 2. I was thinking about 1000. the first trip we were other places,clearwater beach,etc. so we took a little more and come back with nothing lol. We are traveling from indiana, going to family in sc for a couple of days and then to wdw for 5 days.we are taking our toaster for bfast. we can snack on cheerios too,i just remember sweatshirts being about 50, and i want a jacket,dh wants a new demin shirt, and of couse i have to buy the baby his first trip to wdw outfits!!! Im broke already lol.

Everyone have a great trip as well!! cant wait!!

She rules the house, and we take her with us to WDW, which is why we normally stay offsite .
