How Much Do You Ladies Charge to Haunt the Castle? -- Departure Day up (See index

The pic on the monorail with the water bottle had me in stitches!!!!! So fun!!!!

I'm glad I could offer you some laughs.

I am LOVING your TR! We have an ADR at Coral Reef, too, and I can't wait to try it out.

:welcome::welcome: Delighted to have you join in. We really enjoyed Coral; hope you do too.

I love SE and the Land Boatride !! Soarin' is still my favorite ride !!! This year we really enjoyed the aquarium the guys were into all the tanks!!

The guys were "in" the tanks? ;) Just thought I'd say it before you know who did.

Okay now for the other updates !!Carol wants to try Coral Reef next year, I have been before , I think their dessert choices are better now !! I am not much of a chocolate person, can't even remeber what I had last time !!The crabcakes did look delish, I would ask for sauce on the side !!

The crab cakes were spectacular, and I would order them again...with the sauce on the side.

That picture of Mark on the monorail literally has me :lmao:

I ALMOST had an ADR for Coral Reef for lunch for my upcoming trip, for the CP, but I went with Biergarten instead since it's $20 cheaper. Still contemplating changing it back. Your pictures make me want to, especially the crab cake!

Mark does silly things like the monorail picture to aggravate his youngest son (Markie). Markie doesn't wear his pants "hanging below his you know what", but he sometimes wears his hat weird and it drives my husband batty. So Mark said he'll do it to embarrass Markie. The two of them are SO alike.

love the birthday shirt!

and photo of Grandpa's ball is so pretty!
looks like you had a wonderful day and yummy dinner!

Thanks, Lisa...I'm happy with the shirt too.

Spaceship Earth (grandpa's ball) is beautiful all lit up.

It was a great day.

We have never tried Beverly.... Never...

I love watching the "newbies" try the Beverly. :lmao::lmao:

Love the part about your dad...very sweet.

CR looks delicious....added to the list!

Thanks. :)

Definitely add CR to the list...you won't be sorry.

Great update! I love the monorail SO much, but I hate getting stuck on it, and it always seems to happen! Usually though, we're right out in front of the Poly so it's not too bad, looking over that beautiful resort! :thumbsup2

Yay Epcot! I agree, I don't see too many people who like Figment on the DIS! I love him, but I'm not a fan of the new ride...I mean, it's ok, but the only reason I tolerate it is because Figment is in it! I remember loving him when I was a kid! :cool1:

Coral Reef looks so good! Hmm, now you have me wanting to switch around a couple of ADR's again...:rolleyes1

Used to love the monorail...but it never fails we ALWAYS get stuck. Even the buses have been better for us. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

At least the current ride is better than the middle one. I hope it doesn't go away all together as rumor has it.

Don't you dare go changing ADR's...you are only a week away.

Awww at the Hi to your Dad and "grandpa's ball". I love it!

Thank you.

How odd that you always get stuck on the monorail. I don't find it all that fast per se but haven't been stuck for long maybe more than once?

10 to 15 minutes every time we have ridden it the last four years. :furious:

Your update reminded me of all the things on my list that I've never done, but want to do in Epcot. I failed pretty miserably at it on my girls trip (darn food and wine kept me occupied, what can I say!) So...still on the list. Figment, Living with the Land. Someday! I didn't even make it on SE. Line was horrible the 2 times I considered it. Go figure.

You've never done Figment or Living with the Land? Seriously? You better hurry for Figment...rumor has it they are getting rid of it.

Dinner looks really really, I mean REALLY, good!

Great update.

Dinner was very yummy...I'm considering going back in August.

Blasting through Ms. Kat. ;)

I have to Pat. I've got 12 days to go and we leave in 34 days for our trip. :scared1:

A great end to the day at EPCOT. The dinner I had at the Coral Reef was great if even some of my company wasn't. :lmao:

Apparently I had a crankypuss that decided to hate celebrating his birthday when I was trying to do something nice. :rolleyes1

Kids!!! Sometimes don't you just want to slap them and say "I'm doing this for you!"

That chocolate wave IS heaven on a plate. So good. YUM.

I could go for it right now.

Love the grandpa ball.

They've called that since they were little.

Why O Why is the OKW bus stop so far from the EPCOT entrance???
Why are ALL of the buses so far away at Epcot?

Figured you would like that.

Hope we will get to test out that theory some day my friend!!! :flower3:

I do too. :cutie:

Hmmm, I guess you both have forgotten about my tribute to Rosie in an earlier TR related to this ride...... or maybe you just didn't read it.......... :sad1:

It's that age thing again; went for my annual physical and my doctor nicely said I was middle-aged rather than old.

WHAT THE......???? Who moved that big ball to Magic Kingdom and forgot to tell me?????? :confused3

Would you believe I did that just to see if you were paying attention? No, I didn't think so. I just knew I took a picture while riding the monorail and didn't even pay attention to what was in the picture. :crazy2:

Another great tradition and tribute!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks.

Great one! Nice catch!!

I wanted to make you proud.

Mine!...... Mine!

No....MINE!

Haven't ever eaten here, even though it has been on the short list numerous times. Hope to get there one day............

You must...you would really like.

You and your Pina Coladas............

I love my Coladas (and Mai Tai's too ;)

Since it comes so highly recommended, a definite "must-do" when I finally make it here!!!

You will think you died and went to heaven.

Nice!!! :goodvibes

One of our better pictures.

Thought I was caught up before, now I hope I actually am........... You have really been a posting machine lately!! Maybe if I had another trip coming up anytime soon I would get that ambitious on my TR.................

Maybe you should plan one....

but probably not............ :(

And you are right...you still wouldn't be ambitious.

:lmao: Did I forget to tell you they did that????

I was just going to call out out that was the LIE but wrong TR.... :goodvibes

I guess I better pay better attention to what pictures I post. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Cuban Oregano huh? :rotfl2: Now I know why you're so happy all the time. :lmao:

The hidden Mickey is a good one. I've never seen it. The kids bought the yellow book a while back. With the help of that I've found quite a few.

Magnificent picture of the giant gold ball!!!!!

I LOVE how you have an index!!!!! Helped me catch up! Thanks Kathy

Cool surprise TEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:goodvibes

Joining in. Not sure how I missed this as I've read your other reports. Now to go back and get caught up!

You guys were a machine in FW! You knocked out so many attractions and had dinner, I'm impressed!

I have only eaten at Coral Reef once and I also enjoyed it and would love to go back. I think it is so neat eating near the tanks, you don't get that kind of decor in most other restaurants!

There were like no crowds at all in FW and it was easy to get so much done.

I love the decor at Coral Reef (and it's been remodeled since the last time that Mark and I both went together some 15 years or more ago).

Oh, you'll be back. We'll sucker you into it by promising that our kids will be there. :rotfl:

Wow...you really do know me well, don't you? :lmao:

Sure you can. But if I have to pick, I'll go with the Blackhawks, since they caused me the most heartbreak.

Your Eagles cause you heartache all on their own!

Pretty catchy, isn't it? :rotfl2:

Very original.

But you might not have gotten that picture otherwise. :lmao:

True dat!

One of these things does not belong here...

As I said before, trying to make sure you GUYS weren't skimming.

Good one! Haven't seen that one before.

Thanks. :)

Better you than me! :thumbsup2:rotfl2:

Stop with the hate.

Never tried this because I'm not a seafood fan, but I've always wanted to just because of the atmosphere. Looks like a good place.

They have a lot of other stuff besides seafood...you ought to give it a try.

Looks like you got the back side of water, too! :thumbsup2

Very clever...good catch.

He doesn't really look like he's enjoying it, though.

I think he did that just because I told him NO ONE likes it.

:rotfl2::rotfl: I had the exact same thought!

Of course you did...you are two peas in a pod.

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Yes...just continue to laugh.

Ok, now I understand. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

You're going to be put in the same corner with Marv if you don't watch it.

I still love riding the monorail. I guess the key is to make sure you're not riding at the same time.

Yes, you obviously don't want to be on with me. :headache:

One of my favorites.

I love Living with the Land, but still miss the person who did the talking on the boat.

He doesn't, but let's face it, the current ride sucks. :rolleyes1 I wish they'd bring back Dreamfinder and return Figment to his rightful place of EPCOT glory.

I agree; but at least this ride is better than the one in the middle.

Forget the fish, just bring me 5 of these.

Oh yes....but I think 3 would do me in.

Easily... it isn't that bad. Just way overhyped. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

A matter of opinion. ;)

Not saying that I'd choose it over most other drinks, given the choice, but it is tolerable. :confused3

Different tastes for different folks, I guess. I find it disgusting.

I had to do a double take on that one too! :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Glad to see you are paying attention. :rotfl2:

I saw your countdown for the surprise trip and mine are pretty similar. What dates are you going down and where are you staying?? Would be great to run into fellow Midwesterners :) :yay:

We are going to be there December 6 - 11 (my son and his girlfriend stay until the 12th). We are staying at the Coronado (our home for 9 trips before the last two trips). Our best friends (people we met here on the DIS) are joining us--hubby doesn't know about either surprise. :)

you wear your new hat well.:thumbsup2

i would love the coral reef restaurant havent made it there yet, but some day i plan too.

i will show the little purple dino/dragon some love.
:figment::figment::figment::figment::figment:

i tried to get both kids to buy a stuffed animal of him last trip, or at least want it, both turned me down...candi said i could buy it for me, i said no i want to wait till one of them have a love for him first...maybe next trip.
:thumbsup2

Thanks, Dan. I love my hat.

The kids would LOVE seeing the fish and huge turtle swim around.

That is too funny...you should have let Candi buy it for you in case they close the ride.

I got so behind....sorry! It's been such a crazy week but I'm all caught up now!

Glad y'all had a nice meal at Tusker House & got to have some fun character meets in AK! :thumbsup2

And the evening in EPCOT sounds really nice, too! Your review of Coral Reef has me thinking that we should try it out sometime. I do love seafood! YUM!

Amanda, no worries...we all have weeks like that.

You really should try Coral Reef...Reid would have a blast watching the fish (and they give you a little guide to circle the fish if you see them in the tank)

I'm glad that you enjoyed the Coral Reef. I know it is one of those love or hate places. I enjoy CR and have never had a bad meal or bad service there.

It was really, really good!

I was :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: on the floor about what your wife said. I say the same thing to Mark ALL of the time. I read this to him and he said, I've got to meet this guy. :thumbsup2

Loved the update. Never caught that cactus hidden Mickey before!
So fun to watch Newbies at the Coke stations! :rolleyes1 :lmao: I don't know how Mark could drink that and keep a straight face.:crazy2:

I'm really bad at Hidden Mickey's and was so happy I found one that I had never seen posted before.

It's especially fun watching kids drink it. I don't know how he does it either.

Wow...how did I get so far behind?? :confused3 Well I am all caught up now! Great bunch of updates (I was as far back as the devine one)! Did you know there is a Devine in Vegas?? Well, I'm not sure htey call her Devine there, but it is just so wrong....Devine belongs in the jungle, not a Vegas hotel!

Totally agree with you on Figment...he needs more love here on the DIS. He is one of my alltime favorites and I was so excited to introduce Dani to him in July :figment:.

Sorry you always get stuck on the monorail...we love it. We were lucky the week we stayed at the Poly, we used it all the time and never got stuck more than a few mins. But I have heard the horror stories :scared1:.

So, all caught up now and I promise to do better in the future!

A DeVine in Vegas? Seriously? What the heck were they thinking.

I'm glad Dani got to meet Figment. The guy is just too cute not to love.

The horror stories on the monorail seem to always affect me. It used to be a favorite of ours, but not anymore.

No worries...you've got your hands full with no school, etc.

Woo hoo, ToT!!! Gotta love it.

TOT--all-time favorite. :)

I ask myself constantly if GMR even does the cowboy anymore, because in all of the years that I've been going to WDW I've only had the cowboy like one time. It's a mystery. :confused3

I think the last time we saw the cowboy was 15 years ago with the kids. :faint:

I'm very glad to hear that your Mom is doing better. It's amazing what large quantities of medications can do.

Amazing that it took so long to figure out, but glad she is home and feeling better.

Magic Kingdom PM EMH are the best!

They are IF the people would leave. Seriously, the last two years they have been so crowded. But at least this year we got more done than the previous year.

The details in Storybook Circus are just amazing. I'm so excited to see it and the rest of the expansion!

I can't wait to see it in 34 days.

That's such a thoughtful gift for you to receive.

They are great girls!

Yum, Tusker House breakfast. Breakfast buffets are fabulous.

I have yet to meet a breakfast buffet I don't like. ::yes::

That Eeyore booty dance picture is priceless. That's so awesome.

I'm making an 8x10 for his desk. :)

Tsk tsk, bad DISer not knowing Russell and Dug. :lmao:

Sorry...I'm hiding my head in shame now.

Figment is the most amazing purple guy ever and I love him. You are correct, he does not get enough love.

I think I might start a Figment fan club.

Beaker hat! I will buy that hat on my upcoming trip.

And I bet you'd look adorable in it too.

The chocolate wave is the main reason I would go to Coral Reef, I'm not gonna lie. The rest of the food is good, but the wave.....man.

Hmmmm....maybe I'll book it just for dessert next trip.

Cuban Oregano huh? :rotfl2: Now I know why you're so happy all the time. :lmao:

Ssssh....dont' let out my secret. ;)

The hidden Mickey is a good one. I've never seen it. The kids bought the yellow book a while back. With the help of that I've found quite a few.

I bought the book and still couldn't find half of them. I've now given the book to "that'snice" and his family. Mark is really good at finding them.

Magnificent picture of the giant gold ball!!!!!

Thank you.

I LOVE how you have an index!!!!! Helped me catch up! Thanks Kathy

Cool surprise TEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:goodvibes

Thanks, my friend. I'm glad the index helped. Glad to hear things are becoming a little more normal for you after Sandy.

Happy you like the t-shirt.

Joining in. Not sure how I missed this as I've read your other reports. Now to go back and get caught up!

:welcome::welcome: I always love a new reader. Not that I don't love my old readers. Wait, I better shut up here before I get in trouble. :lmao::lmao:

Seriously, thanks for joining.

We haven't eaten at the Coral Reef restaurant since "BK" (before kids). At least I think it was the Coral Reef, it was so long ago. It was some upscale restaurant in FutureWorld, probably 1990. It had to be, right?

Glenn, you would be right. I remember we ate there with both boys and my mom so it had to have been around 1990-1991.

Back to my Disney Obsessed, Resort changing self

And the kids wrote out their Christmas lists :santa:

Monorail - We get stuck too! It is suppose to be a fast mode and yet... I swear we could walk faster!

Figment - I too feel he needs a bit more attention. I know had we gone to WDW when my youngest son was little figment would have been his favorite. Makes me kinda a bit sad to think how my "little guy" would have been compared to my grumpy teen who now could care less.

Coral Reef - I think this ranks up in my favorites... sadly, we didn't go in September. Your food pics make me regret that decision.

We are already up to Tuesday, September 18, of our vacation. I don't understand how these days go so darn fast.

Up and ready to be out the door at 7:25 to head to the bus stop. Can you tell from these pictures where we were going this sunny morning?

Day3September182012002.jpg

If you guessed Epcot, you would be right.

We were at the turnstiles at 7:50 on the dot waiting for Extra Magic Hours to begin.

First order of business, was to go and get Fastpasses for Soarin' and hop in the Standby line to ride it. A few pictures as we made our way over to The Land:

Soon we were getting our fastpasses and riding:

After riding Soarin', we stopped to have some breakfast at Sunshine Seasons.

Mark's meal:

And I FINALLY got the kids french toast plate that I've been wanting the last several trips, but the line was always crazy busy:

This area is so pretty:

Believe it or not, our Soarin' fastpass was ready to use. We got two more which were now for like 1:00 in the afternoon and then we soared again:

Day3September182012021.jpg

Mark told me to choose where next, so I said I wanted to go see my purple friend again (we were going to stay in Future World until World Showcase opened and spend the afternoon/evening in WS).

From there, it was time to go back to the other side of The Land and see Mark's loud friends. A few pictures along the way:

We went to explore the fish tanks after departing the ride.

Day3September182012066.jpg

We wanted to see the Manatees, but for some reason they had it blocked off (we never did find out why).

It was time for me to have a cappucino and Mark to go do his thing:

Day3September182012067.jpg

While Mark was going off to Mars, I was enjoying my coffee and checking my office voice mails and checking in with my brother and mother.

After Mark returned from Mars (not too long of a trip), we went over to see Ellen...something we've missed since, I believe, our 2008 trip.

Day3September182012070.jpg

By now, World Showcase was opening, so we started the walk over there. We took a few pictures along the way and, of course, stopped in the gift shop right at the beginning of the path to World Showcase:

Back to my Disney Obsessed, Resort changing self

And the kids wrote out their Christmas lists :santa:

You do crack me up. :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

I have been asking both of my sons for their list. I almost strangled Andy the other night. I said I need your list within two weeks. He said, "why"? And I replied, "because we are going out with your Godmother this weekend, then the following weekend we are going out with other friends, then we go to Dubuque to see Mark and Alisha, and then it is Thanksgiving." At this point, Des (Andy's girlfriend) piped in, and "then we all leave two weeks for our vacation". She said ALL of this with Mark sitting in the next room. Thankfully, he was oblivious and engrossed in Pawn Stars on television. I almost died that the secret got spilled. We have now ALL come close to spilling the beans. I don't know how I can take it another 34 days. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Monorail - We get stuck too! It is suppose to be a fast mode and yet... I swear we could walk faster!

Figment - I too feel he needs a bit more attention. I know had we gone to WDW when my youngest son was little figment would have been his favorite. Makes me kinda a bit sad to think how my "little guy" would have been compared to my grumpy teen who now could care less.

Ann, I have to get back to your report which I plan to do right after lunch.

I swear we could walk faster or bus it faster than the monorail on most occasions.

I think Alex would have loved Figment. :)

I'm sorry you missed Coral Reef in September...there's always next trip. I think we are going to try to do it every other year now...we enjoyed it that much.

:scared1: Yeah...even with my best intentions..I've YET to keep a secret!

:rotfl2:thank goodness for the History channel, right?!?!

For some reason when I saw this picture I was reminded of the song by Genesis, "I can't dance." :rotfl2::rotfl:

I am loving this trip report. It has been two years since we've been back to WDW and can't tell you how much we miss it.

enjoyed the update...did you notice any setting up at all for the food and wine festival? i wonder how long it takes them to set those booths up.
