How Much Do You Ladies Charge to Haunt the Castle? -- Departure Day up (See index

Loved the updates Kathy!

I have to say that your shirts are my favorite - The girls and I always find ourselves saying that to each other quite often for one reason or another.

It seems like you got a ton of stuff accomplished before WS opened - I can't wait to be back during a slow time again.

I sure hope it stays sunny for the remainder of your day... Our WS day in Epcot in March POURED all day long - I couldn't believe it!

D~

:scared1: Yeah...even with my best intentions..I've YET to keep a secret!

:rotfl2:thank goodness for the History channel, right?!?!

I'm pretty good with party secrets, but this one has been tough because I'm SO excited about it.

Yes, thank goodness for the History Channel. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

For some reason when I saw this picture I was reminded of the song by Genesis, "I can't dance." :rotfl2::rotfl:

I am loving this trip report. It has been two years since we've been back to WDW and can't tell you how much we miss it.

And trust me, Mark CANNOT dance. :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

I hope you get back soon and, preferably, while we are there. :goodvibes

Fun morning so far! I hope the sunny skies held out for you :thumbsup2

Thanks; it was a great morning and we got everything done we wanted to.

enjoyed the update...did you notice any setting up at all for the food and wine festival? i wonder how long it takes them to set those booths up.

Dan, actually some of the booths were up while we were there...so they start that awhile before F&W starts.

you know he will say that he knew all about it and was just keeping quite.

I seriously don't think he has a clue. He got a check for the one and only Fall baseball game he umpped the other day, and endorsed it over to me and told me to get a Disney gift card for the trip with the girls in January (not knowing there is NO trip with the girls) and suggested I get the Disney Rewards card from our Visa and use it rather than wait until August. So unless someone at his office spills the beans (and only two people know), I don't think he'll have a clue. I'm praying my surprise works like yours.

All caught up Kathy! Love the t-shirts for the December trip-they're great!

The monorail used to be my favorite, but we seem to be getting stuck on it more and more. Very frustrating. I tend to avoid it now too.

I have Coral Reef on my (very early) list for next trip. Glad to hear that you enjoyed it again! Why on earth are there so many great TS options at Epcot and so few at the other parks? Makes planning much more difficult.

You guys sure got a ton done at Epcot on those two days!

Love that you and your kids refer to the ball as "Grandpa's Ball". That's so sweet. My only childhood WDW trips were with my grandparents, and finally after our last 2 visits specific memories have come back to me. I've already warned DH that we WILL be visiting CoP and CBears on our next trip since I remember visiting them with Grandma and Grandpa when I was 7 and 8. :)

Can't wait to hear more, I sure hope that the weather held out for you on your tour of WS.

This update looks a lot like the last update! :rotfl2: I was starting to wonder if I was having deja vu.

So did you enjoy Ellen? Or was it more of a "meh"?

And I think there's a law that says you can't check office voice mail at Disney World.

really happy this is working out so far for you.

a tip if you have a sams club that you are a member of, there $50 gift cards only cost 48.88 when you buy them there...doesnt save a ton but if you buy enough it is a discount.

i did that for our trip.
:thumbsup2

At this point, Des (Andy's girlfriend) piped in, and "then we all leave two weeks for our vacation". She said ALL of this with Mark sitting in the next room. Thankfully, he was oblivious and engrossed in Pawn Stars on television. I almost died that the secret got spilled. We have now ALL come close to spilling the beans. I don't know how I can take it another 34 days. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Oh I will go ballistic if she spills the beans ...with less than 5 weeks to go and you and I (who have the biggest mouths ever) have been keeping this a total secret since June.....please Crazy Glue her lips shut :lmao:

A great end to the day at EPCOT. The dinner I had at the Coral Reef was great if even some of my company wasn't.

Apparently I had a crankypuss that decided to hate celebrating his birthday when I was trying to do something nice.

Katmark said:
Kids!!! Sometimes don't you just want to slap them and say "I'm doing this for you!"

Funny but it wasn't the kids who was the crankypuss......:rolleyes1

I don't have THAT problem anymore. :lmao:

u got alot in that morning! love your shirts!

oh no on the beans almost getting spilled, hope she got a warning!

I love your "mine" seagull shirt! Every trip I look at it, but I just haven't bought it yet. Maybe next time around. It is super cute! :goodvibes

Yay for more spins on Nemo. It is one of my favorites in Epcot (it may even beat out Soarin' :p ) and I'm so happy to see someone else enjoys it too!

Kathy, I think there are a lot of us pulling that your huge surprise doesn't get spoiled and goes off without a hitch!!! ::yes::

Oh I will go ballistic if she spills the beans ...with less than 5 weeks to go and you and I (who have the biggest mouths ever) have been keeping this a total secret since June.....please Crazy Glue her lips shut :lmao:
Nothing worse than planning something for so long and having it ruined by loose lips, especially from someone who hasn't really been working hard to get it all planned..... :worried:

Thanks, D. Mark insisted I buy that shirt so we'd each have one. :)

Sun or rain....next update will tell.

The monorail used to be my favorite, but we seem to be getting stuck on it more and more. Very frustrating. I tend to avoid it now too.

I'm glad we aren't the only ones.

I have Coral Reef on my (very early) list for next trip. Glad to hear that you enjoyed it again! Why on earth are there so many great TS options at Epcot and so few at the other parks? Makes planning much more difficult.

It is kind of strange there isn't more at the other parks. I think with Be Our Guest the MK is a little better now.

You guys sure got a ton done at Epcot on those two days!

And we still have a half day to go. :)

My dad loved Country Bears too. You should take DH...it may be corny, but it's still Disney.

Can't wait to hear more, I sure hope that the weather held out for you on your tour of WS.

Thanks.

I'm subscribed! Now, I've got some catching up to do. ::yes::

:welcome::welcome: thank you for joining...delighted to have you here.

This update looks a lot like the last update! :rotfl2: I was starting to wonder if I was having deja vu.

Either that or you are getting old. ;)

So did you enjoy Ellen? Or was it more of a "meh"?

It's not something we want to do every year, but I love Ellen and the preshow is great and it's interesting to see the show every couple of years.

And I think there's a law that says you can't check office voice mail at Disney World.

With an 86 year old boss, it's something I have to do.

:headache: (searching for a comeback)

STILL SEARCHING??????????? :lmao::lmao:

really happy this is working out so far for you.

Thanks...only 33 more days to keep the secret.

We aren't member of Sam's Club. I'll have to ask the kids to pick up a few...they are members in Dubuque.

Oh I will go ballistic if she spills the beans ...with less than 5 weeks to go and you and I (who have the biggest mouths ever) have been keeping this a total secret since June.....please Crazy Glue her lips shut :lmao:

Settle down, Sis....it's under control. She won't slip...I promise. And you are right...we do have the biggest mouths, or at least talk the most.

Funny but it wasn't the kids who was the crankypuss......:rolleyes1

I don't have THAT problem anymore. :lmao:

Oooh...so you were the crankypuss? :rolleyes1

Trust me, she got a HUGE warning.

You should buy itt...it's a great shirt; as hot as it was, I was very cool in it.

I do love Nemo too...I also feel, like Figment, it doesn't get enough love.

Hi Kathy!! You are getting sooo close !!

33 mor days, Rosie. Almost less than a month now. :cool1:

:scared1:

Thankfully, Mark doesn't pay attention to Des 99% of the time. ;)

Kathy, I think there are a lot of us pulling that your huge surprise doesn't get spoiled and goes off without a hitch!!! ::yes::

Thank you.

Nothing worse than planning something for so long and having it ruined by loose lips, especially from someone who hasn't really been working hard to get it all planned..... :worried:

It will not get ruined...I am determined.

Score on the dinosaur picture inside Ellen! Nice work! I love it.

I also really like your shirt - so cute.

What a great morning in Epcot. It's like the perfect morning, including the kids french toast platter. That does look good. I never thought to order the kids meal, but it makes sense.

Nice pictures! Fun update!

Great update! Yay Epcot! I love how you both are wearing "mine mine mine" shirts, too cute!

I love Sunshine Seasons for breakfast, never knew they had french toast! Yum! I usually get that panini or a cheese danish, but french toast looks good!

I love those pink Minnie ears you tried on, I've been wanting to buy those a while now, but I've got way too many Minnie ears as it is! :rotfl2:

:faint: So many updates!! :thumbsup2

You are a machine, woman! :rotfl:

I don't even know where to start.....

Of course I love all the hat pics, especially that cute little green one you had on your head, hope they still have it when our trip comes around, I have a feeling Mackenzie will really like it. Mackie is really into animal winter hats, much like the zebra one your handsome, hat wearing hubby had on. ::yes::

I love how all decked out you were in with your Nemo pack and shirt, so cute. I can't wait to be able to wear cute clothes like you since size won't matter for me any more, I'm almost there. :goodvibes

We ate at Coral Reef on our first trip and loved it! The food was outstanding. Waiter was a bit weird, but all in all the experience was wonderful.
They sat us right next to the tank, this was back when I found out they would do the Happy Birthday/Anniv. signs with the diver. I had them do a Happy Birthday sign for Mackie, she loved it! It was one of the highlights of our trip.

Up next, WS, huh? That's one area that never get's enough attention from me. Last trip I did a lot, but it will take at least a few more trips before I feel I've gotten the hang of the WS. :) Can't wait to see what kind of trouble you two get yourselves into there.

Fun night & morning at Epcot! :thumbsup2 It looks like you were having a really nice time!

Nice pictures! Fun update!

Thanks, MaryEllen.

I'm one of those "obedient" people who don't take flash pictures when they tell you not to, so I was really surprised it turned out.

I love my new shirt too.

Thanks, Jen. Mark's been begging me to buy that shirt the last three trips, so I finally relented.

The french toast was really yummy.

I love you in your Minnie ears; I can't wear them all day because they give me a headache.

:faint: So many updates!! :thumbsup2

You are a machine, woman! :rotfl:

Thanks, Camille; I am so determined to get this done before we leave in 32 days (or four weeks from this coming Thursday); I'd love to get two more updates done if I could today if I get the house cleaned.

Of course I love all the hat pics, especially that cute little green one you had on your head, hope they still have it when our trip comes around, I have a feeling Mackenzie will really like it. Mackie is really into animal winter hats, much like the zebra one your handsome, hat wearing hubby had on. ::yes::

I could see young girls loving that hat.

I love how all decked out you were in with your Nemo pack and shirt, so cute. I can't wait to be able to wear cute clothes like you since size won't matter for me any more, I'm almost there. :goodvibes

Thanks; a friend here on the DIS, mailed that bag to me int ime to use for my trip. And I should once again say THANK YOU, SUZI (Solana131) for being so kind and thougthful. :flower3:

I wish they still did those signs in the tank...I'd love to do that for Mark next year for our 30th wedding annivesary.

I really love World Showcase...it's my favorite part of Epcot.

Fun night & morning at Epcot! :thumbsup2 It looks like you were having a really nice time!

Thanks, Amy. We had a great time at Epcot.
