How Much Do You Ladies Charge to Haunt the Castle? -- Departure Day up (See index

That picture of Mark on the monorail literally has me :lmao:

I ALMOST had an ADR for Coral Reef for lunch for my upcoming trip, for the CP, but I went with Biergarten instead since it's $20 cheaper. Still contemplating changing it back. Your pictures make me want to, especially the crab cake!

love the birthday shirt!

and photo of Grandpa's ball is so pretty!
looks like you had a wonderful day and yummy dinner!

Great update! I love the monorail SO much, but I hate getting stuck on it, and it always seems to happen! Usually though, we're right out in front of the Poly so it's not too bad, looking over that beautiful resort! :thumbsup2

Yay Epcot! I agree, I don't see too many people who like Figment on the DIS! I love him, but I'm not a fan of the new ride...I mean, it's ok, but the only reason I tolerate it is because Figment is in it! I remember loving him when I was a kid! :cool1:

Coral Reef looks so good! Hmm, now you have me wanting to switch around a couple of ADR's again...:rolleyes1

Awww at the Hi to your Dad and "grandpa's ball". I love it!

How odd that you always get stuck on the monorail. I don't find it all that fast per se but haven't been stuck for long maybe more than once?

Your update reminded me of all the things on my list that I've never done, but want to do in Epcot. I failed pretty miserably at it on my girls trip (darn food and wine kept me occupied, what can I say!) So...still on the list. Figment, Living with the Land. Someday! I didn't even make it on SE. Line was horrible the 2 times I considered it. Go figure.

Dinner looks really really, I mean REALLY, good!

Great update.

Blasting through Ms. Kat. ;)

A great end to the day at EPCOT. The dinner I had at the Coral Reef was great if even some of my company wasn't. :lmao:

Apparently I had a crankypuss that decided to hate celebrating his birthday when I was trying to do something nice. :rolleyes1

That chocolate wave IS heaven on a plate. So good. YUM.

Love the grandpa ball.

Why O Why is the OKW bus stop so far from the EPCOT entrance???

Hope we will get to test out that theory some day my friend!!! :flower3:

Now to Marv , why is a Dinasaur ride a great tribute to me? Dan has been rubbing off on you !!!!!!!:rotfl2:
Marv is just being Marv....best to ignore him.
Hmmm, I guess you both have forgotten about my tribute to Rosie in an earlier TR related to this ride...... or maybe you just didn't read it.......... :sad1:

No, I didn't remember. As Marv will tell you, I'm near retirement age, and the memory ain't what it used to be. :rotfl2:

And I don't remember what we were talking about. :confused3
:rolleyes1

We were going here:

Day2September172012133.jpg
WHAT THE......???? Who moved that big ball to Magic Kingdom and forgot to tell me?????? :confused3

Since there was no line and we wanted to stay in the Future World area for our dinner ADR, we hopped on Spaceship Earth and I said "hi" to my daddy (this was his favorite ride and I always say hi to him when we start the ride).
Another great tradition and tribute!!! :thumbsup2

Great one! Nice catch!!

We still had some time before our ADR, so we swung by one of Captain_Oblivious's favorite attractions:

Day2September172012178.jpg
Oh, that stinks!!! :rotfl:

We still had a little more time before that ADR and were headed in that direction anyway, so it was time to go see one of Mark's favorites:

Day2September172012182.jpg
Mine!...... Mine!

It was now time to eat and we were hungry. We were having dinner here for the first time in over 12 years (I went for lunch with Mary and the girls in January):

Day2September172012191.jpg
Haven't ever eaten here, even though it has been on the short list numerous times. Hope to get there one day............

And I had a Pina Colada:

Day2September172012195.jpg
You and your Pina Coladas............

Now where's my blender??? :)

The bread they bring out (this was very yummy and we ate it quickly and our waiter brought us more):

Day2September172012196.jpg

Mark ordered the fish of the day (and I have no idea what it was...to me, fish is fish most of the time):

Day2September172012202.jpg

He let me taste it and it just melted in your mouth...it was scrumptious.
Both of these look delish!!! :lovestruc

We both had saved room for dessert, even with the extra bread:

I had the Chocolate Wave...heaven on a plate.

Day2September172012206.jpg
Since it comes so highly recommended, a definite "must-do" when I finally make it here!!!

A few pictures on the "back" side of Spaceship Earth:

Day2September172012212.jpg
Nice!!! :goodvibes

Thought I was caught up before, now I hope I actually am........... You have really been a posting machine lately!! Maybe if I had another trip coming up anytime soon I would get that ambitious on my TR.................

but probably not............ :(

WHAT THE......???? Who moved that big ball to Magic Kingdom and forgot to tell me?????? :confused3

(

:lmao: Did I forget to tell you they did that????

I was just going to call out out that was the LIE but wrong TR.... :goodvibes

You guys were a machine in FW! You knocked out so many attractions and had dinner, I'm impressed!

I have only eaten at Coral Reef once and I also enjoyed it and would love to go back. I think it is so neat eating near the tanks, you don't get that kind of decor in most other restaurants!

I'm glad you find your friend so amusing. See if I ever join you two for lunch again.

Oh, you'll be back. We'll sucker you into it by promising that our kids will be there. :rotfl:

I thought his Blackhawks hat was the worst hat ever? You can have two "worst hats!"

Sure you can. But if I have to pick, I'll go with the Blackhawks, since they caused me the most heartbreak.

Don't you roll your eyes...you are the one who came up with "stupid hat pictures".

Pretty catchy, isn't it? :rotfl2:

And, in typical fashion, we sat and we sat and we sat for about ten minutes in the middle of the tracks. I really do not take the monorail anymore because we always get stuck on it.

Day2September172012131.jpg

But you might not have gotten that picture otherwise. :lmao:

We were going here:

Day2September172012132.jpg

Day2September172012133.jpg

One of these things does not belong here...

Hidden Mickey:

Day2September172012150.jpg

Good one! Haven't seen that one before.

We still had some time before our ADR, so we swung by one of Captain_Oblivious's favorite attractions:

Better you than me! :thumbsup2:rotfl2:

Never tried this because I'm not a seafood fan, but I've always wanted to just because of the atmosphere. Looks like a good place.

A few pictures on the "back" side of Spaceship Earth:

Looks like you got the back side of water, too! :thumbsup2

Mark wanted to prove again that THE BEVERLY was not so bad:

He doesn't really look like he's enjoying it, though.

WHAT THE......???? Who moved that big ball to Magic Kingdom and forgot to tell me?????? :confused3

:rotfl2::rotfl: I had the exact same thought!

I was just going to call out out that was the LIE but wrong TR.... :goodvibes

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

No, I didn't remember. As Marv will tell you, I'm near retirement age, and the memory ain't what it used to be. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

And I don't remember what we were talking about. :confused3
Ok, now I understand. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

And, in typical fashion, we sat and we sat and we sat for about ten minutes in the middle of the tracks. I really do not take the monorail anymore because we always get stuck on it.
I still love riding the monorail. I guess the key is to make sure you're not riding at the same time.

we hopped on Spaceship Earth and I said "hi" to my daddy (this was his favorite ride and I always say hi to him when we start the ride).
:thumbsup2

There was no line for Living with the Land]
One of my favorites.

I truly do not believe that the purple guy gets enough love here on the DIS. :(
He doesn't, but let's face it, the current ride sucks. :rolleyes1 I wish they'd bring back Dreamfinder and return Figment to his rightful place of EPCOT glory.

I had the Chocolate Wave...heaven on a plate. :worship:
Forget the fish, just bring me 5 of these.

Mark wanted to prove again that THE BEVERLY was not so bad:

Day2September172012214.jpg

Seriously, I don't know how he drinks it and actually says it's okay.
Easily... it isn't that bad. Just way overhyped. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Not saying that I'd choose it over most other drinks, given the choice, but it is tolerable. :confused3

I saw your countdown for the surprise trip and mine are pretty similar. What dates are you going down and where are you staying?? Would be great to run into fellow Midwesterners :) :yay:

you wear your new hat well.:thumbsup2

i would love the coral reef restaurant havent made it there yet, but some day i plan too.

i will show the little purple dino/dragon some love.
:figment::figment::figment::figment::figment:

i tried to get both kids to buy a stuffed animal of him last trip, or at least want it, both turned me down...candi said i could buy it for me, i said no i want to wait till one of them have a love for him first...maybe next trip.
:thumbsup2

I got so behind....sorry! It's been such a crazy week but I'm all caught up now!

Glad y'all had a nice meal at Tusker House & got to have some fun character meets in AK! :thumbsup2

And the evening in EPCOT sounds really nice, too! Your review of Coral Reef has me thinking that we should try it out sometime. I do love seafood! YUM!

Day2September172012131.jpg

I showed my wife this picture and she said that she thought God had used the mold only one time when he made me. LOL... I really hope we do meet some day down there. He seems to be too much like me.

Day2September172012162.jpg

Back in my younger teen days (many, many, many moons ago) we use to call something else Cuban Oregano. :rotfl2:

I'm glad that you enjoyed the Coral Reef. I know it is one of those love or hate places. I enjoy CR and have never had a bad meal or bad service there.

Loved the update. Never caught that cactus hidden Mickey before!
So fun to watch Newbies at the Coke stations! :rolleyes1 :lmao: I don't know how Mark could drink that and keep a straight face.:crazy2:

Wow...how did I get so far behind?? :confused3 Well I am all caught up now! Great bunch of updates (I was as far back as the devine one)! Did you know there is a Devine in Vegas?? Well, I'm not sure htey call her Devine there, but it is just so wrong....Devine belongs in the jungle, not a Vegas hotel!

Totally agree with you on Figment...he needs more love here on the DIS. He is one of my alltime favorites and I was so excited to introduce Dani to him in July :figment:.

Sorry you always get stuck on the monorail...we love it. We were lucky the week we stayed at the Poly, we used it all the time and never got stuck more than a few mins. But I have heard the horror stories :scared1:.

So, all caught up now and I promise to do better in the future!

Woo hoo, ToT!!! Gotta love it.

I ask myself constantly if GMR even does the cowboy anymore, because in all of the years that I've been going to WDW I've only had the cowboy like one time. It's a mystery. :confused3

I'm very glad to hear that your Mom is doing better. It's amazing what large quantities of medications can do.

Magic Kingdom PM EMH are the best!

The details in Storybook Circus are just amazing. I'm so excited to see it and the rest of the expansion!

That's such a thoughtful gift for you to receive.

Yum, Tusker House breakfast. Breakfast buffets are fabulous.

That Eeyore booty dance picture is priceless. That's so awesome.

Tsk tsk, bad DISer not knowing Russell and Dug. :lmao:

Figment is the most amazing purple guy ever and I love him. You are correct, he does not get enough love.

Beaker hat! I will buy that hat on my upcoming trip.

The chocolate wave is the main reason I would go to Coral Reef, I'm not gonna lie. The rest of the food is good, but the wave.....man.
