How many Non-BCV's owner's........

I just had a thought of curiosity come over me

Since I've been reading so many different threads of members (many of whom have either just bought into SSR or are thinking of doing so... but not all...some just non-BCV owners)...how many Non-BCV's owners plan on trying to book at BCV's at the 7month mark?? And what size unit are you planning to book if you are planning to try for BCV's?

Just curious to know what the competition truely is for these ressies (I know we wouldn't truely know since we're only going by Disboard members). But would still like to know out of all of us here, how many are planning this.

It just seems that lately I've been reading an awful lot of threads of people buying SSR and elsewhere with the intention of wanting this particular resort. Please only vote though if you are a DVC member and you can make more than one choice if you booked or are trying to book more than 1 unit

Not planning on ever booking BCV at 7 month window. I like OKW too much.

I booked BWV at our 11 month window for our trip in mid-June. Then, at just past the 7 month window (about 2 weeks past because I'm an idiot and can't count!!!) I called and was able to get the studio at BCV for all the days I needed..no waitlist, no day to day calling.

I voted that I'm not going to try to get into BCV at the 7 month window. Some time, down the road I may want to but not for a trip in '05.

after staying for the first time at ssr we are planning to stay at each dvc resort. we chose to stay a BCV nexct becuase of its proximity to epcot and mgm. walking to and from these theme park is appealing to us. rather walk then wait.

we will on subsiquent trips will stay at all of the other resorts .

We own at BWV. We bought where we wanted to stay the most. If we stay anywhere besides our home resort we would probably not do BCV because it's the same area. Plus, we have stayed at both BC and BWI (before owning DVC) and we like them about the same. Actually my kids prefer the pool at BWV to SAB and we like being able to book boardwalk view villas.
That being said, we may at some point in the future try to book SSR, OKW or VWL at 7 mos, just not BCV.

Not this year, or for several years. But we may try to book at seven months in the future when the kids get a little older (right not they are at the "SAB makes my hair grey" age. A few years and it will be a cool spot).

We are BWVs owners. The resort I'm most interested in swapping to is VWL.

We always go to the Flower Show at Epcot for 2 nights in May, and for the 2 years that we've been DVC members we have been able to get BCV studios for those 2 nights at 7 months. This year we are going for 2 weekday nights, so it wasn't only for weekends that we were successful.

I like SAB enough to even pay points there for a Saturday night and change somewhere for Sunday night, if it came to that eventually. Can't see us buying at BCV though.

For this year I'm speaking of...just wondering how many people are competing for these rooms at present....so if you've booked an upcoming stay or are planning on trying to book a stay once you hit the 7month mark

This poll will be interesting to watch. We own at BCV and so far have done our fair share of the 11/7 month switch dance. I like mixing things up. I am glad, though to own BCV. It really feels like a summer spot to me and I think these are the harder months to get there?
Next summer I plan to do an 11/7 month switch for VWL, though. We always seem to end up there in cooler months and I would like to try it out when it is warm enough for the kids to swim there.

We own at SSR. We were successfully able to book a 2BR for May 2004 on December 1, 2003. No problem.

I got in for three nights in a 1 BR for President's week 5 months out, but only after going on a wait list. I will probably not do it in the future as although it was nice we prefer OKW. I own at SSR

I would like to see the same poll with a 1 vote limit.
That way you can better gauge how many non-BCV owners plan to make reservations at the BCV's. With multiple votes it may look like there is going to be a rush on reservations when that is not the case.

As a BWV owner we wanted a change of scene so we booked a 2br at BCV for 4 nights (4/30-5/4) at about 5 1/2 months, no problem.

Scoooooooooch, good poll. I am curious, though: seriously, how many threads about non-BCV owners wanting BCV have their really been? Not saying it's not happening, but even if there are 40 or 50, spread out over a year - even the 'preferred' times - it doesn't seem like it will be a problem....

I voted non and not looking, but to be fair, sometime in 2006 I'll be swapping points with a friend so I can book a graduation present for my nephew 11 months out at the BCV. My sister decided they'd stay at the BC before my nephew graduated High School (decided back when my nephew was still in short pants) but she'll have to live with being out back of the resort instead.

I just booked 7 nights in August in a studio this morning. We purposely chose BCV because August is sooooooo hot, we won't be spending a lot of time at the parks, and will be spending a lot of time at the resort pool. SAB was the first choice of both DS and DH. This would have been about 6 months out.
