How do you like SSR and WLV? Just booked at both...

We just booked stays at both of these places. We're taking a 5 day cruise in January and we're going to sandwich it between 2 stays at WDW. Jan 11 - 14, we're staying in a 1 BR at SSR and the following weekend, we have 2 nights in a Studio at WLV. Any comments on how you like these resorts? We've never stayed at either yet. SSR was the only thing we could get for the first weekend (probably because of the MLK holiday Monday.)

Just wondered if anyone could share their thoughts on those 2 choices.

I think it is nice that you can sample two different DVC resorts surrounding your cruise. Good way to try them out..

We enjoy SSR very much. It is a large resort, but there are several pools, bus stops and the ever popular Downtown Disney views. We particularly enjoy the Congress Park area there. The cherry wood pieces in the units are lovely.

WLV is located close to the MK and offers boat transportation over to there. The villas have its own pool, but the main pool is fun to use as well. This has a nice rustic lodge feel to it, and is very different from SSR.

Two very tranquil and relaxing resorts. Both are elegant in their own way based on the theming. I will admit that I found VWL extremely impressive right away. The main lobby is an absolute beauty! SSR took a little more time to grow on me, but I love this resort as well.

VWL is much smaller, so you will find it easier to get around. SSR is very spread out, but it is such a nice resort I enjoy just walking around and taking in the grounds.

SSR is a nice location, as you can head over to Downtown Disney with a simple 5 minute walk. Many dining options, and a great place to go after the parks to just walk around.

VWL has a great restaurant, Artists Point. A wonderful place that we try to go on every trip.

The resorts are very different from each other, but both are very tranquil and relaxed.

We will be staying at SSR next week, we cant wait!
