How do you know if it's the stomach bug or appendicitis?

I have been told to put your ear to their stomach and if you hear gurgling sounds it is NOT the Appendix, as an appendicitis would not have gas/gurgling sounds... everything would shut down.

Cheaper than Urgent Care and maybe....just as accurate.

well since it's an almost 6 year old post, I sure hope the OP found out by now which it was!

What is with the zombie threads?

For us--we knew it wasn't a stomach virus when her ER visit necessitated a CT scan with injected dye which confirmed she has appendicitis.
