I just grilled up my chicken on my grill pan, and I put some EVOO in the pan so it wouldn't stick. How healthy is that for me? Is there something else I should use? Should I be using my "I can't believe its not butter" or something like that?

TIA!

Olive Oil is very heart healthy as is Canola Oil.

I think you made a great choice.

agree olive oil is a good fat when used in moderation. Instead of pouring the EVOO in the pan, i usually put a little bit on each piece using a basting brush. That way you use less oil.

If you're really concerned with the oil, you can also try the olive oil sprays. Most grocery stores carry their own generic brand, give a spray to each side and then you're good to go.

I agree with the spray - the olive oil cooking spray gives the EVOO flavor without so many cals... for me, I'd rather use the points on something else, something that I "notice" I'm eating, if that makes sense... Put it this way - if I'm going to use 2 points, I want to eat two points, not used it to cook with where I don't notice they're gone.

Good point, but for me, I struggle to eat HALF my points, so I'll take them where I can get them!! :lmao:
