How big is your garage?

3.25 car garage, 2 cars 1 boat inside, workshop behind my Jeep. Wish I'd gone with the double deep single for a larger work space.

Ours is 28' x 40', literally as big as our township would allow. We have 4 cars and living space with two televisions, a kitchenette, bathroom, heat and A/C. We spend every evening out here as we work in the house and this is where we go after work.16402940_10211699666438359_5420266800128121826_o.jpg26678445_10214827161503781_2874100058356199618_o.jpg26756993_10214827166623909_8150125098325852476_o.jpg26757058_10214827163663835_5815140683651131852_o.jpg26952027_10214827160143747_2816722057218136925_o.jpg60917436_10157472347818120_6587371378314313728_o.jpg

2 car garage, stuffed with storage boxes full of junk because my husband and adult son are hoarders (not in the crazy tv show sense, but they tend to keep way more than they throw out). It also contains my husband’s weight set and my youngest son’s drum set.

It used to not be so crammed, but I just emptied out our storage unit because they kept raising the rates. I wasn’t going to pay $95 a month to store a bunch of junk.

I don’t think we have ever actually parked our cars in the garage. It has always served as overflow because our house is tiny and there are 6 of us.

A functional garage would be nice when we get our crazy Texas storms.

About 20x20 which is standard for tract homes in my area. Considered a 2- car garage- I park my Honda Odyssey on one side (and I can pull in far enough to have the tailgate open with the overhead door closed) and three motorcycles on the other side (one parked perpendicular in front to the other two that are side by side). We can still get around the vehicles to the walk out door and I have a row of bicycles parked along one wall. It's cramped but sufficient. My husband parks his car in the driveway.

We have a two car garage. I painted lines for one parking space in the middle so the kids would know to keep their bikes etc. off to the side. Along the sides we have storage, tools, the lawn mower and other gardening stuff, a freezer, the garbage cans, and all our outdoor recreation stuff. At one point, we had to fit exercise equipment there too.

Even though we always have room for one car, we only pull a car in if DH is doing maintenance or if it is freezing temperatures. That's what driveways are for! We much prefer having the space open for projects. I'm just about to start painting some cabinets and that's where I'll be working.

I had never really known anyone who actually used their garage to park cars (unless they had 3 or more stalls) until I started reading this forum. Where I live, no one has basements.

I believe ours might be a "1 and a half car" garage. Is that even a thing? We can fit in one car along with garden tools, lawn mower, bikes, decoration storage, and tools.

Our online property records say it's 23 x 23, so I guess technically that's two cars? Not sure how we'd fit two in it, though.

3 car garage with 3 cars in it, plus lots of shelves to hold boxes of “prizes” (we do fundraising so have lots of trinket stuff), car related stuff, 2 upright freezers and a dorm style fridge, tools, and a workbench. Bikes are stored on hooks. Often when weather isn’t too hot or cold we have boxes of chocolate on pallets, and then cars get relegated to driveway. Storage shed in yard holds lawn stuff. John Deere room holds some garden stuff (Seeds) and stuff for my backyard flock of chickens. I want to downsize house but not sure where “stuff” would go! :rotfl:

2 car garage and we have 2 cars in it-- a midsize SUV and sedan. We have a spare fridge in there too along with all other stuff but it stays organized.

2 car garage, the left bay is twice as deep as the right bay. There's a back door in the back of it now but we are hoping to cut out the stone and add a rear garage door so that it's easier to get the 4 wheelers right out to the back yard without having to move anything in the front of the garage.

In the winter, we park a 1/2 ton pickup truck in the deeper bay and my minivan in the other. In the summer, the garage is usually too cluttered with kids Power Wheels, bikes, scooters, toys and so on so we park outside in the nicer weather. Then around October I re-organize in there, stuff goes to the back shed for winter and the cars go back in. The three 4-wheelers stay in the garage year round. It can get a little tight but we work it out.

I have a one car garage that is so small, only the driver can (barely) get out of the car when it's in the garage. It fits one car, and has a workbench. We also keep the recycling and garbage bins in it. Beyond that, nothing else fits. In the summer we keep the bicycles in the garage and both cars in the driveway.

Standard 2 car garage. Normally, we have 1 car in there (my wife's, of course). In the winter, when we move things like bikes and golf clubs to the basement, we can usually fit my son's car in there as well. My SUV barely fits even when it's the only vehicle in there (due to its length).

We have a two car garage. I use it mostly as a home gym though for the days I don't go to the real one.

1 car extra deep garage and I hate it. We have about a 5×10 area that we can store stuff like our lawnmower and outdoor toys, and still squeeze dh's carolla in. It makes it tough in the winter when I have to de ice my car in the dark at 5 am. We are lisitng this place for sale in 2 weeks and I can't wait to get a bigger garage!

Ours is a 2 car garage but has so much junk that it holds no car. Instead it holds two motorcycles, a TON of camping gear, power tools, a large deep freeze, gardening tools, and random crap. Occasionally if a bad storm is rolling through I'll shove all of the junk to one side and squeeze my Fiat inside.

Seasonally it will hold about a 100 cases of Girl Scout cookies (if not more) and several cases of BSA popcorn. Guess who's cookie mom and popcorn leader???

We have a 2 car garage. We have 2 cars, large trash can, dog bed and accessories, and a bench to sit on to change shoes, etc. We have a utility room and an out building and a carport with DSs 1968 Chevy C-10 truck that he inherited from my late FIL.

We have a two car, but just park our truck that we don’t really drive in it. The other side has my husbands weight bench, the mower, the grill and other miscellaneous stuff.

Two car garage fitting one car and the rest is DH's tools, 2 freezers and junk

In theory, my garage could fit one car. It's just a large storage room for us.
