Georgie: "Why are you helping him?"
Melanie: She looked up at her and spoke in a quiet voice. "He asked."
Georgie: "Why are you helping him?"
OOC: Oh my gosh ahh! I won't be eighteen but I'll be a senior. It's all so surreal. Only three semesters left until college![]()
Claire: "Sure." She sat on the edge of the bed. "You can sit here. Have you watched it before?" Claire grabbed the remote and starting flipping channels. "I have SO much to catch up on since Hogwarts. Luckily we have Netflix, and I'll probably catch up this summer."
Melanie: She looked up at her and spoke in a quiet voice. "He asked."
Georgie: "I thought you hated him."
Melanie: She sighed. "I never hated him." She had mixed feelings, but never hated.
Georgie: "Oh."
Melanie: "It's...different."
Georgie: "It's okay."
Melanie: "Georgie, he asked me to testify for him. He's trying to gain custody of his daughter."
Georgie: her eyes widened. "Who is his daughter?"
Melanie: "A fourth year Hufflepuff named Eris."
Georgie: "Alec's niece. Oh please don't, Mel."
Melanie: She looked down. "I-I have to give her the chance. He's changed, Georgie."
Georgie: "You can't take her away from him. She's all he has."
Melanie: "That's why I'm not necessarily fighting for him-I'll bring up his strengths, yes-but she needs the choice. Linus deserves his child." This wasn't exactly how she felt, however.
Georgie: "Have you ever met Alec?"
Melanie: "I have. He's a former death eater, like Linus-just not as well known, according to his files."
Georgie: "He's a nervous little sweetheart. He needs Eris."
Melanie: "But does Eris need him? She's a quiet girl. I just-I have to do what I believe is right. Eris needs her father."
Georgie: "I have to do what I believe is right too. Linus needs to stay away from that girl."
