For those that have stayed at HH can you please tell me which building would be the best for views. I have a two bedroom and my children will be six and two when we go............Also I will be going over Christmas what is there to do.

Thanks in advance
Michele

There are 3 views available.

Pool view, marsh view (with a look at the changing tides on Broad Creek) and Island View (interior views of the island- mostly woods and other buildings).

I prefer the marsh view, but any are nice.

The usual activities (canoeing, kayaking, swimming, Dolphin cruise, craft programs, cooking programs, golf, tennis, shopping, dining) are all available in December- weather permitting. The ocean will be too cold for all but the hardiest to swim, but the pools are heated and pleasant.

You'll find plenty to enjoy at the resort!

Have a great trip.

We were at HHI a couple of weeks ago, and I had reserved a 2BR with a marsh view. We got a complimentary upgrade to a Grand Villa, so I didn't get the marsh view - we just had a view of the property (island view) and it was so peaceful and serene, I didn't mind at all (of course, being in a Grand Villa, how could I complain?!?). :D

We also just came back and we had a 1BR in Living Oak Lodge. It was on the third floor (top) and the balcony overlooked part of the marsh and a small cove. We saw dolphin feeding in the cove one evening. It was a really big balcony with 2 rocking chairs and a picnic table on it. I thought it was great. My 5yo DD loved looking out. We really liked being in Living Oak Lodge because they had parking under the building and an elevator up to the room which was really great with a tired kid.

We're on Bldg #28 Marsh view, top floor. I was told that building 19 and 28 are pretty good. Just request for marsh view, and see if they have any available. It's also quieter. The closer to the pool, the noisier.

We just got back recently also. We were in building 18 in a 2 BR with a marsh view. We liked the location because it was kind of the midway point to the pool, lodge, parking etc. The resort really is small enough that it isn't very far to walk anyway. Have a great trip.
