as promised..here is my bad shoes picture I took while at WDW the start of Oct 09 let me preface this by saying..I live out in the country and we simply are not up to current fashion, so if this is fashionable, I apologize now for calling them bad shoes
I'm a music teacher, which means I have to spend most of the day on my feet and I wear high heels often. However, I couldn't imagine walking around WDW all day in them. Kudos if you can do it though!
And pickles, I agree with you that both of those people's shoes in your pictures are totally thumbs down. I hope I haven't offended anyone, but wow...
I've only been to DW once earlier this year. I had no idea when some of the posters here were talking about getting on their treadmills to get their legs in shape that they were being SERIOUS!!! My first day or two, I was fine. The next day, I had such a hard time getting out of my rental car that I thought something seriously was wrong and should go to the hospital! Little did I know that it was my thigh muscles SCREAMING from all of the walking that we did. I had no idea! And I was in sneakers!!!! So... I would seriously suggest that you do NOT!!! go in heals of any type. No matter how much you wear them on a day to day basis. You will regret it if you do.
I don't like sneakers either not with jeans or shorts. But I have to say i love them at Disney in August we were there 15 days we walked every day all day and my feet were happy the whole time. I didn't get any blisters or even pain it was great. In our Nov trip I am going to be taking my uggs, we live in NC and anything below 70 is cold for me and I have low blood pressure so I am cold all the time. Maybe you want to try a pair of ugss they will look good with jeans. I could never walk all day in heels.
Since we are going in November I don't really know what the weather will be like but I will probably have to wear jeans and I can't stand wearing sneakers with jeans--I always wear high heeled boots (like stilettos) or just high heels...am I crazy to walk around in a park like that--I normally wear my boots/heels for hours on end.
If that is what you are used to wearing it doesn't hurt to try, just bring along some other shoes just in case. I wouldn't wear a pointed heel just because of the uneven ground. If you are looking for a comfy heel check out the crocs cypress. I have two pairs of these and they are great. I have worn them to Disney and they work out great, the heel is thicker so it gives you more stability. They are made out of the same material as other crocs so you get the same comfort but in a high heel. The last thing on my mind is someone thinking I'm crazy for wearing heels to Disney, as long as you can stand them don't worry about others crazy looks.
I wear heels with my jeans ALL THE TIME at home. I cannot stand tennies with jeans. HOWEVER - I suck it up and wear them at WDW. There is NO WAY IN HELL I will do heels again at WDW. Never ever ever ever.
I wore heels once at WDW. The costume I wore to MNSSHP had to have heels with it. My feet hurt so bad when I got back to the room that night! And for the next week! I will never wear heels in the parks again....ever!! And yes, I do wear heels everyday at home. I hate sneakers too.
I wear flip flops with my jeans unless there is cold-snap or late in the evening.
Most of my jeans are too long so I just cuff them. Cute and stylish
I am considered a girly girl. I collect shoes...purses...and I love sparklies I do not own a pair of sneakers...I just dont care for them much...for me anyway. Yellow box has some VERY cute flipflops and they are wedges...they are known for their comfort...for real. I LOVE them! I can say though...I too bite the bullet when I go and I get some cute tennis shoes...Ed hardy has some...as well as Coach! BTW
