HHI Waitlist & No-See-Ums

We are planning to visit HHI in May or June. I called today for reservations for 5/11-16 and was told no studios or 1BRs (our preferred unit) were available. I placed my name on the waitlist.

Based on your past experiences, can anyone tell me how much of a chance I have in getting these reservations via the waitlist? Since I'm borrowing points, I'm leaning away from booking one day at a time if I can't get all five nights.

Also, I was reading Towery's website and saw the notes about the no-see-ums. Can anyone tell me how bad they are in the May/June timeframe? We went to Maine last summer and the blackflies were horrendus and really ruined parts of the vacation. We're outdoor types and don't really want to spend the time inside....

Any other tips/hints about HHI would be greatly appreciated.

Hi DVC Chris ..

We are owners at Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort. There aren't many Studio/One Bedrooms at Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort. If they are already booked your chances of getting a One Bedroom is probably very slim unless you luck into a cancellation.
