Since the Tri. Discovery trail is being removed.. giving them a nice area to build something new.... why stop there ...take out Camp jP next door and have a big area for a huge new ride .... coaster/jeep ride something big...... all Camp JP is a playground... nothing would be missed ..... playgrounds are all around the park.. one less want hurt............

Neat idea, but my guess is Camp Jurassic will stay. My sense is that it actually quite popular with younger guests.

Also, it is very inexpensive to run, compared to the high tech rides with their large staffs.

JP has a ton of free undeveloped land to use for rides why closed something instead of using that land?

Look around JP there, that's alot of land.

Not just the younger guests. Camp Jurassic is one of my favorite parts of the park, and I'm nearly 20 years old. It supposed to be for kids, but's it's big enough for adults. You canwalk around, explore, get lost or run around like a crazy person. If you've never expreinced it simply because you think it's just a play ground, then you're missing out.

I have to agree DocBosch, my whole family loves to play in this area! I love crawling around and through the caves, climbing on the ropes and playing hide and seek:p It's beginning to look like I may never grow up...;)

I, too, love Camp Jurassic. It's just so much fun to play in.

I spoke with a Trike employee today and she told me that Trike isnt closing down permanently, but is closed down for the time being and will be picked back up for Spring Break. After that, nobody knows.

Camp Jurrassic can't go and won't go any where. Everytime that I go there it is always loaded with kids, both young and old. I know that when the Florida Coaster Club invades IOA we always land up in there and have at least an hour of play time in the cargo nets and water.

There WILL be a Jurassic Park 4 Movie.
Each of these movies has broke box office records,
Jurassic Park (the Movie, original) was the inspiration/anchor for the Second gate theme park.
It only seems to logic that they will do more expansion in IOA's Jurassic Park (or is it, "Isla Nublar"?)

Speaking of a JP4, there's good indication that Spielberg will be back on it, as he has some great new ideas, as long as he has time to get it together.

Some interesting thoughts about what they could do with a future of dinos running around the world...

As I said on another post, Trike isn't closing its a seasonal attraction, now Island Skipper Tours did close for good, (lack of guest use,I guess) People say Trikes sign was taken down, that's half true, Triceratops Encounter was the orginal name of the attraction when IOA first opened, it was pretty much imbedded into the Trike skeleton sign, then it changed names over night to Triceratops Discovery Trail, and since it was such a quick change Universal put TDT sign over the TE sign, when Trike closed for the season until, Spring Break, then Easter, then summer, then chirstmas. Universal took down the TDT sign and just put signs over the TE sign, the color of the signs put up match in color to the sand color of the rest of the Trike sign, are you with me still?

Anyways the signs can be removed and attraction operating in no time, just like the signs that are in the park to tell people where this attraction, island, restroom, or exit is.... they can be covered up and taken down. IE Xtreme Xventure is seasonal also, on the directional signs has XX on the sign all year round its just that when XX is done they cover it up until they need it again, same thing with the Skipper Tour in POE and JP, they just covered up the IST on the directional signs.

Why is Skipper Tours still on the park maps? Granted it doesn't list them, but they show the boats in the lagoon and parked at the old docks. Isn't that misleading? They use to have a T-Rex next to the The Environment Control Building at JP and they removed so why leave the boats? Just something I never get.

Even more curious than showing boats on the water on the IOA map is that the "splash zones" from Dynamite Nights Stuntacular are still shown on the USF map.

I really don't know the answer to this, I believe they could air brush it out on the master you could do it, BTW if you want to see one of the IST boats go to RP hotel and out by the pool across the way by the plane and resort boats the is the IST seaPlane Boat
