We were just talking about this in another thread but I don't know what it is about Epcot that makes the heat feel so much worse; all the concrete and lack of shade, all the walking? The only times I've ever succumbed to heat and had to tap out at the parks it was at Epcot. I hope y'all stay safe and hydrated.
That’s funny bc for us we’ve always said the same about Hollywood Studios. That place for us has always been the surface of the sun. I know people say AK is the hottest park but at least there’s shade! I think it may be the humidity in AK that does people in

Tiana’s been down the whole day so far. Have Boarding group 6 so if they open at any point we should be able to jump on.

It looks like it must have opened shortly after you posted. Hopefully you were able to ride!
Rode it three times in total this trip! What a fun ride and very well done with the re theming. Was so sad to see splash go as it was my favorite but this was very close in feel. Just glad it’s back in any iteration!

Pretty poor today for early entry at DHS both rnr and rise down. Second early entry in a row we’ve attended this trip that rnr has been down.

ive never been lucky enough to have Rise operating at RD EE.

Lots of little missing bits today too. Hondo model not working at start of smugglers, switch didn’t do anything at the end of runaway railroad among others

Rough at the Epcot so far. Uber got lost getting here. Frozen down since early entry and still down, broke down twice on spaceship earth. Ugh.
If the Uber driver did not follow the map directions in the app and got lost you should report them to Uber.

Did is actually break down (i.e. you were evacuated) or, did it stop during your ride? SE is an Omnimover attraction so it is common for it to stop to allow guests who require additional time to load and unload.

Yesterday MK. G+ & ILL$. EE - break at Noon -back at MK at 7:10 pm to 9pm. Did the following rides twice: Pooh, Pirates, & Haunted Mansion. Rode IASW, Ariel, Tron, TBA, 7DMT, BTMRR, Buzz, WDWRR. Other rides we specifically didn’t want to do.

Tried to get on 7DMT around 9pm. It was closed for the rest of the night. Plan was to hop in line making it the last ride of the night. That was a bust. G+ was 100% worth it.

Con: Riding Tron for the first time ever plus paid for ILL$ there was suppose to be music with the ride I guess because parties were screaming where’s the music over and over for the entirely of the ride. So felt a bit down from the experience given it was a paid experience and not the full experience. Wouldn’t pay for it again. Kind of like having an ice cream sundae and they forgot the sprinkles & the cherry. Or doing Test Track without the audio.

Tried VQ and it was extremely difficult. Keep refreshing and refreshing. Didn’t matter. Was always gone when refreshing.
Never went to next step. Just sorry VQ full.

Pro: Guest relations was excellent and extremely helpful. All CMs were very friendly.

Today. Epcot. G+ & ILL$. EE headed to Frozen while everyone else went to Remy. Walked on Frozen. Rode all the rides. Family braved Mission Space Orange for the first time ever. I dipped out. 2 said it was a one and done. We left the park after 1pm. Tapped out and won’t be returning today. For some reason Epcot seemed overly hot today. Given how nice the park is, the lack of seating and shaded areas was definitely a huge con. Lots of people sitting on the ground just to eat food & snacks.

Con: G+ was basically a waste. Never rode Remy before hence why we got it to not wait in line.
However, we were not impressed with Remy. With the 3D glasses, animation was blurry a lot of times. CMs & staff seemed to be miserable. Not sure if it was due to AH event the night before or it was just too hot? The vibe just wasn’t as magical as MK. Without Test Track, Epcot was lacking.

Pro: Was able to try German 4 caramel flight and caramel apple for the first time ever. Also tried Poutine and Fish n Chips for the first time ever. Pretty good.

Today: DHS. EE was awesome. Did Tower of Terror & Rock n Roll Roller Coaster before 9 am. Then standby for Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway train 10 minutes and Toy Story Mania 20 minutes. Was done with both just a tad after 10 am. Check-into Sci-Fi drive-in 20 minutes early for 11 am ADR and they seated us immediately. Out of the park by noon. Sci-Fi drive-in super quiet sanctuary and cooling relief. Definitely a nice spot to decompress while in the park.

Back to resort. I’m stacking LL & purchased ILL$ for RoTR later this evening while family is napping. Returning to the park at 5:30 pm.

Cons: Lots of people young and old not covering their sneezes and coughs.

Pros: Thank goodness DHS has some shade and wow there’s places to actually sit. A total 180 from Epcot yesterday. Loved all the background music playing. CMs very outgoing and happy. The theming for ToT, wow just wow. A huge thanks to this board for all the tips!

Currently DHS is turning into a bust returning this evening. Got to front of line Mickey & Minnie’s Runnaway Railroad and it broke down. Got to front of Rock n Roller Coaster and it broke down. They are trying to reset it now. Slinky Dog closed during our return time due to thunderstorms.IMG_2679.png

I’m here for a long weekend & totally agree with your comments regarding a lack of benches and shade! It’s brutally hot, even with cooling towels, personal fans, and plans to walk from AC to AC. The lack of shaded seating is really annoying. It’s almost like Disney doesn’t care about safety.
I’d add the difficulty finding water bottle filling stations. Yes we can get free water but who wants to wait in a hot line when you’re close to heat exhaustion?! Animal Kingdom is the worst, especially the walk to the bus stop - it’s almost dangerous in this week’s heat. Please give us some benches, shade and access to water.
