First, the crowd levels are great so far, at least to the way we tour the parks. We got to Epcot around 8:30 this morning and the opened the gates around 8:50. We walked to Soarin' and had a 10 min. wait. We were able to do Soarin', Living with the Land, Figment, Nemo, Spaceship Earth and Innoventions all by 11:30am when we stopped for lunch. We hopped over to the MK and arrived around 6:30pm. We did Pirates, Thunder Mountain and Buzz before the fireworks.
We miss Maelstrom, but actually likes the Frozen addition to the Stave Church, I thought it would be totally different and it was actually very informative and tied into the area's culture.
There is definitely a down slide in some of the CM's attitudes. I asked a CM at Pirates if you still get wet in the front row because of the new boats, because we were being placed in the front row, and all she did was roll her eyes and say "It's a water ride." For the record, you do get wet now, and I am not sure it has anything to do with weight. I only had three kids in the front seat with me and we all got pretty wet. Not as wet as Splash, but wet enough to be uncomfortable in the cold.
Love the Caribbean Beach Resort. We were placed in Jamaica 42 building. Our room does not have a pull down bed, but has been renovated. It is roomy, the bus service has been good, and you can see the Epcot fireworks over the tree tops from several different locations. Oh, and the chicken curry in the food court is to die for!
I expected to hate the FP+ system, and I am still kinda sad we couldn't get a SDMT fastpass unless we booked 60 days out, but it really hasn't been an inconvenience. I did notice, at parks like Epcot with fewer popular rides, the FP+ system has created much longer wait times for rides that we previously have been able to walk on in similar crowds. Spaceship Earth which never had a line with the old system had a long line every single time we went by, especially since there was an almost constant stream of FP+ holders coming through the line.
You can get a pretty good view of the fireworks with piped in music from the bus stops at the Magic Kingdom. We were at bus stop 32 tonight, and watched all of Wishes with a great view minus the castle, and were the first on a bus to leave afterwards.
I think that is it for now. Happy to answer any questions if anyone has any.
