AVENTURA HOTEL INFO.......

My friend and I will be staying at Aventura in September. It's 13 years since we were last in Orlando and we've been shocked at the price rises for food and drink etc. We do like a glass of wine but the prices are extortionate. We were thinking of a trip to Walgreens to by a bottle or two but by the time we add on the taxi fare it's really not worth it. I noticed the Urban Pantry has bottles of wine in the fridges. Does anyone happen know how much these cost? Many thanks

Last time I looked at Tuk Tuk bottles of wine at RP they were around $45 or so, I honestly can`t remember exactly what they cost but I imagine other places will be similarly priced.

I think Urban Pantry offers a Carafe of wine for under $30....again, I`m not completely sure on the exact price as I only glanced briefly. And they also sell wine by the glass too.

If you're checking a bag you can pop some in there. Then it creates souvenir room for the trip back.
You could also bus to one of the other hotels & walk to a nearby store. Or Uber would be cheap. Combine with a cheaper off-site dinner & would be a money savings for sure.

Don't forget you can also DoorDash/Uber Eats/other delivery service groceries to the resort. The cheaper prices will likely offset the delivery fee and service charges.

Just 8 more weeks before our stay! We have a late return flight so wondering what to do on the last day. Does Aventura have late checkout, and if so, how much would this be?

Alternatively, if we checkout at normal time and leave our luggage at the hotel, is there somewhere we could shower and change before heading to the airport? It's a long flight home so we would need to freshen up and change.

I don't have an answer for late checkout. Regarding the showers, you can get an amenity key at the front desk of Royal Pacific and use the showers in their locker rooms.

The fitness center at Aventura should have an attached changing room with showers and free lockers for stuff. I have always done this at Cabana Bay, put some clothes in a locker and hang out by the pool, then shower and change. I have only stayed at Aventura once so far, but I looked around and think they have this also.

Ah okay! Now that I think about it, Sapphire Falls also has showers. I wasn’t sure if Aventura or Cabana did since they aren’t “premier” hotels.

Aventura has showers on their second floor by fitness center. We often shower there as well before our late flights. Here’s a pic of one of the stalls. They’re very large and plenty of space to place suitcase in stall opening without getting wet.

If they are not at full capacity, they may give you an hour extra which isn`t long, I believe you can pay for longer, no idea of the cost with that. But, you`ll be fine leaving your luggage and going on enjoying your day.

Yes, there are full changing/shower facilities you can use at Aventura after check out :)

I saw a comment saying the mini fridges are small
Are they smaller than the ones in royal Pacific /cabana bay ?or the same size

Stayed at Aventura for a week for our horror nights trip again earlier this month.

Standard room this time for 3 of us it was fine. We were on the 9th Floor overlooking the parking garages. The air conditioning units on top give off a bit of noise but it never impacted on our sleep at all.

Staff were great, we had housekeeping most days and if we didn’t we requested clean towels that arrived quickly.

We ate at Bar 17 and Urban Pantry both were lovely. The breakfast of folded eggs at Urban Pantry was massive. IMG_9401.jpeg

Really handy having a Starbucks in the lobby.

The pool was fine but the hot tub was out of order a couple of days, we did hop to Sapphire one day.

Did a mix of walking and using the Sapphire boat.

Already have our next stay booked.

Very random question - when the foldout couch is made up into a bed, does anyone know if there is a gap between the mattress and the back of the couch?

I was going to put my 3yo on the regular twin bed and bring bed bumpers because he likes to sleep mashed up against a wall but now I'm wondering if I should put him on the folding couch so he can mash himself up against the back of the couch. If there's a gap, I'm worried about him falling in.

This was our resort of choice for years. On our last visit, they attempted to charge us a higher rate than the reservation was paid for. Nearly $100 a night. Manager told us it was due to how busy the hotel was that week, and our reservation rates were not valid. Showed him the email with our rates, as well as the prepayment...and he wouldn't budge. Took nearly 3 days to have it handled. Couldn't believe it. Started staying at Sapphire, and have really enjoyed it there.

Curious how you had booked your stay, not through Universal?

About 1 year ago, I made my reservation to stay at Aventura for a few days with the self-parking rate of, IIRC, $18/nt. I checked in this past January and the rate went up to, I think, $21/nt. The manager gave me the booked rate even though at check-in they tried to charge me $21/nt.

It's still remains my favorite Orlando resort for aesthetics/value/location/food/transportation.
