Help with quick WDW itinerary!

Wasn't sure which forum for this but I know you all love polls, so please help me figure this out. Quick background:
14 adults, 4 kids on DCL 12/3-7 (we have 7 cabins booked)
Staying 2 nights afterwards
MUST do MVMCP but which option do we do?

A (staying at Value resort)
Thurs- disembark, arrive back to WDW resort approx 11am, lunch, nap and MVMCP from 5pm-12am
Friday- Park day MK, EPCOT, MGM or AK
Saturday- leave for home

OR

B (staying at Moderate resort)
Thurs- disembark, arrive to WDW resort approx 11am, lunch, relax at resort or go to Downtown Disney
Friday- have a late character breakfast (or an early dinner before MVMCP), relax, hang out at resort or Downtown Disney, go to MVMCP 5pm- 12am


I can't tell you how many hours I have spent planning for this. I guess as long as everyone sets sail together then my job is done but I wanted to get everyone's opinion. If I'm on the wrong forum, please let me know. THANKS!!

I voted for the "value" option because if I'm at WDW, then I have to spend as much time in the theme parks as I can, and this is the option that does that. That's just me, though, I think either option looks good, and you can't go wrong either way.

I went with the moderate because of the cruise. You will need a little down time after a cruise and debarkation can be long and tiring. You will enjoy MVMCP more if you are rested.

DH and I spent a day at EPCOT and then MK after a 7 day cruise. I had wanted to see Wishes, the main reason I wanted to stay the extra day. We were so tired that we went back to the resort at 7 pm. A year later I finally got to see Wishes.

Try to avoid the Friday MVMCP if it's at all possible. They are much more crowded than any other day of the work because of we locals. While the moderate would be nicer, if you're not spending that much time in the room choose the Thursday party.
