Now I've posted this on the DL board but haven't got much feedback yet. That board seems to be rather quiet at times. Just wondering if the Canadians can give me some feedback.

FYi for those who are DL uninformed:

PP - Paradise Pier is one of the 3 DL hotels. About the price of a moderate. There are no value resorts at DL.

Carousel - One of the DL Good Neighbour Hotels which is not Disney owned but Disney recommended. Can be booked with a WDTC package. Cheaper than any of the 3 DL hotels. Has a complimentary breakfast.

dining plan - common for DL packages, its' an option, the 4 day plan includes 2 character meals plus vouchers for a 4 day stay

You only get EE if you book package thru WDTC or CAA so want a package. With package get 2 mornings EE, preferred seating at shows, some pins and a book of coupon.

Rebates on DL hotels! Need help to decide
Phoned WDTC and got a really helpful CM. Did you know that if booking a 4 night stay at a DL hotel in 2005 you get a rebate in Disney Dollars? First I've heard of it!

Need your help as want to book for final! We were going to get passes for 3 days but have now decided on 4 days. Got quotes on APs as well in case we want to go in the evening we arrive or the night we arrived back in LA from San Diego. Not sure if we should get APs as not sure if we would use more than 4 days.

Help me choose:

Package includes: EE to TT and FL, book of coupons, reserved seating for shows in CA, etc.

1.) Paradise Pier (4 nights), 4 day PH, 4 day meal plan=$1371.70 WITH $120 Disney Dollars in rebate on check-in which we can use for our souvenirs or whatever. Was told this when I phoned for a quote.

2.) Carousel Inn (4 nights) with APs, 4 day meal plan=$1263.40

3.) Carousel Inn (4 nights) with 4 day PH, 4 day meal plan=$963.40

Did get a quote for PP with AP but out of our price league for this trip.

If we got 4 day PHPs with the package could we trade them in for APs once we arrive?

Is the PP worth the extra $? Help!

Well option number 1 is reallly not that much more! Plus you would be RIGHT there at disneyland-wouldn't you?
And not to mention you would get a rebate which you could use for some of your spending money!
My vote is for option number 1!!

This is MY and only my opinion.....if you are not going to use the AP again, then your your diference is $290. dollars (including disney dollars)

I don't really know if you can upgrade from DL. Tickets at WDW, the on-site UPH are only vaild for the length of your stay, is it the same with these or are they just REGULAR PHP's? If they are regular then yes you probably can upgrade to AP's.

So the question is: Is EE and staying on site worth $300 more? for 4 nights... not to me.

If the price just in the diference between option 1 (Upgraded to AP) & 2 is not that great and I was going to use them again..... then Yes I would stay on site and have AP's

Doesn't it seem odd that to upgrade the package to APs from 4 day PH it likes $300 more. That's for 2 passes. Hmmmm...According to Mousesavers you can upgrade PH to AP at guest services and the difference is like $20 U.S. for each pass.

I guess it boils down to an extra $400 U.S.(minus $120 in Disney dollars) to stay at the PP. Is that worth it for 4 nights? Probably not.

The PHP should be regular PH passes.

I did post another reply yesterday but the boards when down right in the posting it.

I went to the Disneyland website and it looks like you can upgrade those tickets.
I wasn't sure of your dates, but the ones I plugged in came out with 4 nights, 4goofy meals, AP for 2 people At Californian not PP for $1630.00

They have a ticket special 5 day bonus that is upgadable but the difference is only $50.00 per ticket not $75.00+.

Maybe the pricing difference is in he meal plan? Have you tried playing with the numbers there. You might be able to get onsite and your AP's all at the same price as they quoted you.

Disneyland Tickets

Good Luck!
