Headin South for Some "Tooth" Whitening!! A Dizneydawn TR ACTUAL Update 7/14

I feel badly for all the people who get so excited about their "amazing safari ride" because it means some of the rides they've had have NOT been amazing!

We have an awesome experience EVERY time we ride so for the longest time I thought that it was the norm rather than the exception...the DIS has taught me better!

So excited that you had an amazing safari ride and were able to enjoy the lighter crowds in the park.

Can't wait for more....

Great AK day!!!!! Wonderful pictures from the safari, especially the momma lion. Wow!

What a nice day with just the three of you. It must have felt so relaxed.

BTW - Did you change the title to this TR? Where you asked to change the title to this TR? Or am I confused? :rolleyes1

Cool safari pics!!!
I think your "cute" things are all cute!!!

I think I'm going to have to find that book too.

Am I the only one who gets teary eyed at the sight of this bird?

Cont'd!

Have you been to the National Eagle Center in Wabasha? There are 4-5 eagles on hand at all times. You can get pretty close to them & they have an hour long seminar type thing you can go to. Not worth a trip on its own but if you're in the area its really cool. It's right on the Mississippi so it's nice to take a lunch along as well.

If you love the eagles, next time you come to E. TN you need to go to Dollywood, they have an entire Eagle enclosure there. A lot of eagles are rehabbed in E. TN to be released into the wild, and those that cannot be released are used for education stuff. Super cool (even though I have major bird issues, so just keep them away from me!)

Woo-hoo! So happy to find a new Dawn TR! Having fun catching up! (And if you ever want to visit the real FQ, let me know! I only live an hour away!)

BTW, what happened to the Skinny Island group? I'm finally pretty well recovered from my back surgery in December, and trying to get back on the bandwagon, but couldn't find it anywhere. The last subscribed link I had didn't have any activity since March I think.

Wow, I've never really paid that much attention to the detail in the Tree of Life, but it's pretty amazing! I loved seeing the Mustang...that was pretty cool!:)

GOSH! Life takes me away for a week and a half and I come back to hear that the "pretty couple" broke up!!???!!

holy cow!!

oh well - it sounds like its for the best - Im sure they're hurting now, but they'll just have to wait and see what life brings them in the future!!

Great updates Dawn - keep them coming!!

and can I just say that Dan is SUCH the cutie...

You let those two cutie pies know that if it's meant to be, it will be. My husband and I dated in college and then broke up for a year due to some 'growing pains.' We got back together, had our Disney wedding, and have been married for 4 years this July :goodvibes

Morning all! I hope I can get some time today to write responses and get some new posts done! Plus then I can get back to the food TR since they will be at the same spot.

Treyner got home Saturday morning, started back to work 20 minutes later and it has been a whirlwind of trying to get him situated, unpacked AGAIN, soccer, rugby and the biggest pain of all....carpet cleaning.

We had a expensive company come out four weeks ago, short story, they were not effective in some issues we had, had a mgr come out, he sent a specialist out on Saturday, only to have that specialist say we need to remove tack strips that got wet and some padding. Prom is this Saturday and they cannot get here until Monday. We have moved furniture now twice in the basement and on Sunday will need to move it for a third time out of the basement and take apart the full size air hockey table that weighs a million pounds to get it in the garage. Not happy.

Treyner is not keeping an apartment next year so we are trying to figure out what of his to keep and sell, since I also do not have room to store a whole ton of stuff with a grad party in June. He is also taking 2 more classes this summer, Algebra and Psychology and the first week was due yesterday in Psych because they started it before they even finished finals! DUMB!

Oh yeah...we are getting married the first week of July.

I have no dress. The boys have no pants...I am not sure I am even thrilled with their shirts we have! The only person 100% ready is Carsyn. :rotfl: We do have candles though...well technically the votives, still need candles and we have songs picked out. My sister is going to do the officiating so I better get on that one!

T-Lenz.....send me the info would ya about how you got official at officiating please!!!! :worship:

Have I mentioned how crazy I was to have it less than three weeks after a graduation party?????

Then there is the detail that Treyner''s roomate from college, who is from England, is arriving on a plane tonight for two weeks and my house is torn apart because of the stupid carpet guys!!!!

This outta be fun! I do like the fact we will have more man labor here for the next two weeks though for some big landscaping projects!!! :lmao:

Then, as soon as I was happy about that...I remember Dan is leaving Monday for a week for more travel. So really, Ady is just a break even! ;)

Off to make breakfast for the kiddo's! Hashbrowns, pancakes and eggs! popcorn::

Not for me though - Dan and I are really doing well on our, "less food in the trapper," goal! Down 5 pounds since Sunday so yeah who for me!!! :yay:

Wow, your life sounds so hectic right now! Hope the carpet thing get settled faster.

I did ITTBAB once.....and that was more than enough. I love all those close up shots of the animals though.

A graduation party? That sounds like so much fun! It's not really something that's done in my family. We go out to dinner with the extended family members and they all gave me grad money.

Ooh, can you put up a pic of Carsyn's prom dress?

It's so good to hear your making progress on your weight loss! Andrew and I are trying to get more fit, so we're going to start training for a 5k run, which is like...1/8 of a marathon. I'm hoping to one day run in the Princess Half Marathon.

Found your food report first, headed over to the trip report and OMG, you are so funny!

We took the kiddies to see ITTBAB on our first trip. :sad2: What a mistake!! They were permanently traumatized...though DH and I thought the attraction was a hoot. We each had a child on our lap with their head firmly burrowed in our chests for nearly the entire show. No hysterics thankfully, but we don't even suggest the show nowadays. Wonder how old they'll need to be before we can suggest it again?

I didn't particularly like getting poked in the spine...I think I'll sit forward a bit when that part comes up if I'm ever able to go do that one in the future.

I'm loving Dan's face in his rednecked Yeti photo...too funny!

We loved Yak and Yeti when we went last year. Such cool decor!! And the food was good too.

Hope things settle down for you soon (like that EVER happens  ) so you can get back to updating soon!

UGH!!!! Lost a whole huge post after an hour of work!!! I will try an recreate as much as I can. :headache:

Last night Carsyn and Treyner went to prom. Treyner went with Sara, Carsyn's BF whom he also went with his Junior year. Carsyn, went with Adrian. Treyner's BF from college who also is from England and a soccer teammate. The four of them were stunning.

Carsyn, looked and felt amazing and for a girl who often finds herself in her brother's shadow - she was not hiding anymore. It was great as a Mom to see it. Carsyn often finds herself feeling like Treyner with his bravado and over the top charm, will take hold of a room and she is unnoticed.

This worried her because this was her prom. Not his prom.

When she walked out of the rooms he was getting ready in...nobody had to worry she was going to play second fiddle to him - including her. For the first time ever, she was beaming. She was beautiful and SHE knew it.

I cannot tell you how happy and totally sad it made me all at once. There was not a dry eye in the house. Grandparents, aunts, her Dad, Dan and I and even her brothers, were slack jawed.

Treyner, who tends to be funny with her, riding her always about something and never wanting her to forget she is the little sister...told her she looked amazing. I think that made her day and the fact she was excited to head out, show off her dress to her friends and felt like she would be the prettiest in the room, for me was the best gift ever.

The fact that when she arrived at the high school and every girl came rushing over to ask who her date was...didn't hurt either! :lmao:

I will also share that I bawled my way through the whole night, in the dark as the hundreds of couples walked. She is graduating this year and although the brain knew it...the heart caught up.

I sat listening to Skyler, my three year old niece, yelling out a claim of which Disney Princess was walking the runway, based on the color of her dress. Not believing that 14 years since Carsyn was that point, has gone by so fast. Excited for her future and happy she felt that whether at Prom or college, she did not have to stand in Treyner's shadow. She was her own person and side by side they are an amazing pair and will always have each others back.

So I cursed the fact I did not have any Kleenex.

I cursed the fact I needed them.

I cursed the fact Dan put his arm around me and told me he was sorry I was sad because I wanted him to and needed him to and I am usually the strong one.

I think I may have to watch a marathon of Beaches and Steel Magnolia's to get through Grad night, so I can drain the tears from my skull.

I will post a bunch of pics. Maybe more than you wanted to see but leave me alone because this is therapy for me and you all are cheaper by the hour than most! :rotfl2:

Hope you enjoyed them. I WILL have time tomorrow to actually get some Disney stuff down!!

Dawn - they are absolutely gorgeous pictures. Carsyn's dress is fabulous. They are look beautiful.

I hope you don't mind, but I thought I would post one of Brian and his prom date.

IMG_1880.jpg

This is outside his date's grandmother's home. His date is moving to Arizona with her parents this summer. First move outside of Delaware. She will be attending the University of Arizona.

I love this one, too.

Thanks for letting me share. I haven't gotten to the sad part yet. I am just happy he is about to finish his senior year and we are all looking forward to him getting out on his own. I think it will be good for him. He will be attending Salisbury University on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. It's a smallish school (8500) students and only 1 1/2 hrs from home. I am hoping its a good transition.

OK - thanks for letting me hijack, but we moms of seniors have to stick together.

Good luck with all your upcoming activities. You are going to be busy, busy, busy for awhile. But I know you can handle it. :thumbsup2

Awwww, Carsyn looked BEAUTIFUL!!!

I can't wait to do shopping for that kind of stuff with my girls, but for the same reason you are sad I hope it takes forever to get here!
