Headin South for Some "Tooth" Whitening!! A Dizneydawn TR ACTUAL Update 7/14

I know I do not post often. I simply sit in the background and read knowing that Dawn does a MUCH better job of writing and expressing her feelings. However, this time of my life seems to be bringing me out of the woodwork to get my feeling down ( as bad as this may be in a second please bear with me).

MEK...your son looked awesome in his tux and his date was beautiful.

This I will say about the kids growing up. It was tough to watch Carsyn walk for her senior prom. It was tough to imagine not having her in our lives every day soon as she has been. It is tough to realize that our lives are changing.

However, That being said and the tears drying after seeing the glow on her face and knowing that she realized she looked GOOOOgeous, Was a gift. I am proud of her as I know you are of him and I welcome the next chapter of our lives and watching her become more of the wonderful adult I know she is inside.

My blessing comes in the form of being able to be a witness to her joy and be allowed the privledge of calling these 3 kids Bonus children (hate the word step...bad connotation from Disney movies )

Love ferociously, those who have CHOSEN to accept you in their lives. Live as though you deserve that gift!

Ahhhh Prom....I can't believe that aspect of my life is done. My senior prom was two years ago, and I will be a college junior this fall. When the heck did THAT happen?????

Everyone looked gorgeous. I am slightly bummed that college doesn't provide many opportunities to get dressed up like that unless you're involved in Greek life, which I'm not. I did go dress shopping with my neighbors, who were juniors this year and have lived across the street from me for 11 years now, so we call each other sisters. But in the end they decided not to go.

In other news, I was driving back from Atlanta on I-85 and passed the exit for Anderson. I got all excited and was like "That's where Treyner and Carsyn go!" And my friend looked at me and asked who they were, and I had to launch into the whole "well they're the kids of a woman I met through an online Disney forum...." And she looked at me like I was crazy. Which I probably was, after that trip with her!

Hope everything sorts/sorted itself out. And don't worry about the wedding, I'm sure everything will turn out fine and everyone will be stunning!!! And if you happen to pass through NC, stop and say hi!

Carsyn and her dress were FABULOUS!!!

I cant imagine my kids growing up and moving out - my oldest will be 12 in a few short months, and even that is flying by!!

I and I did NOT feel overwhelmed with too many prom photos - who can get enough photos of prom anyway!!!???!!

I get all emotional at any of my kids' performances now and they are little! I can only imagine that I will have a box of tissues hung around my neck when they go to proms and such!!! OY!

OH my gosh Dawn....those photos of Carsyn took my breath away. She looked incredibly gorgeous and SOOO happy!!! It's feels so great to see these pictures.

There was definitely a lot less fanfare when I went to my prom, and up here, prom is only for the graduating class, so we really only have ONE PROM.

Next year's going to be a lot quieter with both Carsyn and Treyner off to college.

Also, Treyner's UK friend is a real cutie.

It's crazy, we drove through a bunch of rain today on our way shopping and were completely oblivious to the tornadoes (we weren't that close to the path thankfully). But watching it on the news - LOTS of big trees and homes damaged. It hit North Mpls, which is an older part of the city, with lots of old trees etc. Pretty bad, but thankfully only one person lost their life. Still thousands without power.

Have been a long time lurker...I have read all of your TR's, they are the greatest...I have one question about your trips though...We live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and I am trying to convince my husband that driving is not that bad...how is it really? You guys always seem to have a great time on the trip and I am trying to get him to read one of your TRs so that he can look at it from a diffrerent point of view...any advice will be greatly appreciated....

I know...I know! I need to get writing and I will! I just needed to share with you all that the wedding was a success a few days ago and on Monday I will officially be back and ready to write!
