those are adorable channing!

THANKS! I think they are super cute.:goodvibes I didn't get a chance to look at what I missed today - I skimmed thru - I know there was a lot of diet talk.:rotfl: :rotfl: I didn't look at your video yet - I saw some Gymbo shoe talk.....I haven't had luck with Gymbo or GAP shoes. They rub wrong and break quick....I saw you bought some HM stuff!!! I didn't go to Walmart...I will tomorrow maybe. Just kind of too much going on and now DH is working LATE so I am on my own here sneaking DIS time whenver I can;)

Ok did you get my gross email? :rotfl2: Don't think I am a freak....it was sent to me by somebody else.:rotfl: :rotfl:

I do the WW points also because I LOVE carbs. Being that my husband was born in Italy, we live on pasta and bread at our house. But I have lost 45 lbs. since Oct. by counting points, and I don't really pay that much attention to it either. I really need to get back on it and hit it hard, I have been at a stand still for a month. With all of this horrible weather this winter, it has been hard for me to get motivated to exercise. Although I don't think the rice krispie treat coated in chocolate and peanut butter cup pieces that I ate at WDW last week helped any. But hey, I was on vacation. Keep up the good work everyone, it eventually does come off.

One more important thing.....when you feel your stomach growling, know you are burning calories and probably fat. Have to embrace that little hunger feeling. I noticed when I was hungry & would eat and follow my points, I wouldn't feel super full....it felt like I was just on the edge of comfortable/hungry.

Good point!!! I will remember this one! ;)

Fishy&2guppies~ Wow 45 since oct!! I can do this too:yay:
Thanks for all the advice and support! I would like to feel halfway decent this summer.
Ok hitting it hard tomorrow once again
Dawn:flower3:

I have tried weight watchers a few times...not really joined but my friends said I could probably have about 20 points. So I think this is great and go out and buy all of the foot etc. Well- the muffins....they are so good at 3 points each I think. The first day...I ate the whole box!! The WW stuff is way tooo good!

You can do it!:cool1: I am gonna hit it hard tomorrow with ya.:thumbsup2 I have been a bit of a slacker. I need to get moving on it seriously again. Once I find the rhythm it comes naturally. You'll see that happen for yourself.

Fishy2guppies- that is awesome! How much do you want to lost total?? I did the 50 for my 40th and I felt really good at that & didn't really have a goal, but that was almost 2 yrs ago and I have slacked off and on too much.....:sad2: I need to lose 20 at this point.

Actually it wasn't Disneyland ... that is New Orleans during Mardi Gras... yup I am proud to call this place home :rotfl: :rotfl:
You can tell because of all the people wearing mardi gras beads in the pic... Andrea can most likely confirm it for you ;) we get a lot of odd cookies here during Mardi Gras :rotfl:

Cute cake!!!!! I bought the HM earrings while I was at Walmart this morning... always on the look out for super cheapy earrings for my little angel:rotfl:

When you said pink guitar it hit me I saw matching earrings at Walmart :thumbsup2

Thanks for all the kind words about my shrinking. The only bad part is the skin is a bit like ...well a couple of sizes too big for me now :rotfl2:
I have been researching plastics but OWWIEEEEEE i am a total wimp and that is some painful surgery!!!! There is a lady doc in New Orleans that does some great work and specializes in WLS patients but ...well I am just chicken :rotfl:
My chest looks like ...well take a sock and put a few rocks in the sock and well thats what I have for a chest now... I roll those bad boys up and stuff them in VERY good bras :rotfl:
The tummy thing bothers me more than anything ... I want the full band TT... I had many friends get it after weight loss and I know how much it hurts... it looks FAB after it heals... but it takes 6 months for it to completely heal  One of these days I will get the nerve to go in and get it done

<---- this from a girl who has 1/2 a tattoo from a college spring break fiasco ... it hurt so bad I wouldnt let the guy finish so I have 1/2 a tattoo on my back :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

OKAY I have a Bare M question..well maybe a couple for those that might know...

Soft focus products... anyone use these? Is there a big difference in the soft focus warmth VS the regular warmth?

Anyone use the Heavenly brush? How does it compare to soft focus brush?Yesterday I ordered the soft focus big brush but was reading about the heavenly brush and am thinking this is what I should have gotten? The pic of the brush looks really thick ...like the kabuki but the description says for the lightest sheerest color use this particular brush.

I am attempting to add color to my complexion and trying to figure out the best way to do this... my complexion is so screwy when it comes to color... anything pink and I look red...and browns make me face look dirty :rotfl: I dont care for clear radiance ...I am thinking with the soft focus brush or the heavenly brush I might get a lighter coverage and it look more natural.

I also got bare radiance to see if it goes on warmer on my face than the clear....

Good morning!
It has been very fun to play with:cool1: I have to go shopping tonight to Sephora to get a few more things I want to have practiced well before Disney:dance3: I want to get some specific eye color and lips. I put on way too much foundation the first time though... then I watched the dvd and relized how little you use in each layer:rolleyes1

The WW points are awesome!:thumbsup2 Before I got pregnant with my son I lost 20lb in 3 months. It is awesome to be able to eat anything ... just in moderation  My neighbor has lost more than 60lb doing the points over the past year:cool1: She is heading to disney with her family this week for a land and sea vacation.:cool2:

Channing those shirts are really nice:yay:

I have tried every diet under the sun it seems like, and never had much success. I sat down with my doctor because I am so confused on which type of approach to take. You can do low fat, or no carbs, or eat 6 small meals a day or don't eat after a certain time at night, etc. The doctor said each person is different so each diet will work differently for each person. She asked me a lot of questions and she thought the WW point plan would work best for me.

But now that I have hit this stopping point I got really frustrated, and I had to go see the doctor for a cold, so we talked again. She said this is really common that you hit a stopping point, she said I could either lower my calorie intake and count that along with points, or I could switch to the WW core plan for 3 months just to jump start my system again. She said your body becomes used to your exercise and diet, so then everything just kind of stops. So I am going to switch to the core plan for awhile and switch up my exercise and try something new. I just dread the core plan because of the no carbs, so I might not be on it all that long before I have to switch back to points.

I have enjoyed reading about everyone's weight loss tricks and tips. It is so hard to lose weight and only gets harder as we get older. I worked really hard last summer and fall to lose 40 lbs for my daughter's wedding. I started walking in the neighborhood, riding bikes with my boys, and really cutting back on carbs, desserts and snacks. It was easier with a target date in mind plus all the showers, parties, etc that I had to dress up and attend as MOB. But after the wedding (Dec 16) it's like I lost my focus and have gained about 22 lbs back over the winter. Reading this thread has inspired me to start over again and work towards my goal again for DH and my 25th anniversary trip to GF RPC in Sept.
Thanks for sharing your stories and inspiring me to get up and try it again:thumbsup2

Lives4 - I really didn't have a set goal in mind, I take it 10 lbs. at a time. If I loose 10 then I work on the next 10. I do better with short goals.

I pace myself. Here's what I do....for bfast I drink either a couple cups of green tea w/splenda or coffee w/ff coffeemate and splenda, and I actually count my frosted miniwheats. I eat 30...I know the "serving" is 24, but 30 hold me over for hours. It is 3+ pts. Then for lunch I try and stay within 7 points (so total of 10 about noon) then a 2 or 3 point snack about 3pm. If I can be at 12 or 13 at dinner time I am home free. It is just making it to midday. I love that I can cook for my whole family and eat what they eat....I always do lean meat or chicken/turkey and I cook low fat and lots of veggies, whole wheat everything, too....I always look at the fat/fiber/calories when I am buying something new. If I am cooking something that isn't perfect for WW I just watch my portion. I know what to do - it worked like a charm - I just have to get back on the wagon!! Once I can walk daily I will be set. I also found that exercising too hard makes me too hungry.:rolleyes1 Everything in moderation works best for me. Also, the WW treats you can buy are really good. Actually the WW anything you can buy is good IMO. The treats are 1 to 3 points and hit the spot for a needed sweet fix. :thumbsup2 Drink lots of water, too. It's a great filler. Also I am a diet coke junkie. I love that stuff.....kinda bad, but I do.:goodvibes

One more important thing.....when you feel your stomach growling, know you are burning calories and probably fat. Have to embrace that little hunger feeling. I noticed when I was hungry & would eat and follow my points, I wouldn't feel super full....it felt like I was just on the edge of comfortable/hungry.

I have been kind of half a**ed doing it, but now all this talk has motivated me a little....I am going to try harder tomorrow. Tomorrow is another day!

Channing -- that is exactly my strategy! WW is what has helped me live healthier and get my weight back down. And the time I have the most trouble is in the afternoons as well. I'm thinking of going back to WW so I can get their two point bars -- I love them, plus I need to jump-start my motivation, and that usually helps.

Thanks for all the kind words about my shrinking. The only bad part is the skin is a bit like ...well a couple of sizes too big for me now :rotfl2:

Your WL pictures are AMAZING! What an inspiration you are! I hear you about the surgery... I so want a reduction -- I'm 36 DD, and it's so hard for me to wear dresses, swimsuits etc., plus my back hurts a lot, but I'm too chicken to do it.

I just dread the core plan because of the no carbs, so I might not be on it all that long before I have to switch back to points.

I've had this happen to me every time I've really stuck to my diet. I tried modifying my points a little (not going to core, as I just can't do that either) but by eating some different foods and maybe taking a couple of points off, and by mixing up the exercise -- that was what really helped me the most. Good luck!

I didn't have enough time to stop at the Bare M store in our mall, but I did walk by it going to Nordstrom's, and it was PACKED! I hope to get back to the mall early this Saturday, as you guys have really intrigued me on this!

Have a great day everyone!

Your video moved me to tears!!! What a strong person your are!!!:goodvibes

I lost approximately 80 to 90 (originally a size 16) pounds in senior year of high school. I am 41 today, so that was a really long time ago. I was overweight my whole life, with skinny friends and family. But in the summer of junior year I decided that I was going to the prom. So I excercised eat roasted chicken and salad and lost the weight. Since senior schedule is about 3 classes a day, I never really saw anyone while I continued lossing weight. The prom came and I showed up (size 2) with this beautiful guy (not as beautiful as my husband) I was dating and nobody recognized me. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Still to this day if I see someone from High School, they don't recognize me and think I dropped out because they didn't see me the last year!!!:rotfl2:

Anyway, after my two pregnancies I gained about 40 pounds and lost the weight for their first birthday's. I will never let myself get that overweight again. I find that eating small meals all day and excercising a couple of days during the week, keeps the weight off. We eat all wheat products and have every 100 calorie snack in creation, besides we LOVE fruit. I find that if I splurge at least its premeasured. I watch my kids like a hawk, I know that fat gene is in them. They eat skinny cow and FF puddings and love it.

I am a Size 6 now and I realized that I could get thinner, but my quality of life and my enjoyment of eating is better if I just keep it at a size 6. I have more energy and I am a happier person.

I great to hear your success story and everyone elses. Also, its great helping everyone too. When you were once overweight, its a conscience decision everyday to keep it up!!!!:woohoo: :woohoo:

I am a 34DD so I feel your pain... the perkyness has all gone south :lmao:
There is a great line of bras a friend of mine hooked me on a while back.. they are pricey but fit soooo well!!!! They dont give you spill over or scrunch you but have tons of support for us bigger gals... wacoal bras... Dillards, Nordstroms, Macys ... higher end dept. stores carry them. They aren't like the Oprah wonder bra either ....that thing is TORTURE :scared1: these are super comfy!

I watch my kids like a hawk, I know that fat gene is in them.
This is always a worry for me! So far so good but I am super careful about the junk they eat! My DH is super thin and eats like a horse so I hope they take after him!

I had a reduction in high school and it was one of the best things I ever did.
Reductions are cool but I need complete reconstruction... without any support I look like one of those gals in National Geographic:rotfl: :rotfl:
My insurance will cover both a TT and breast reconstruction as I fit the criteria for them to cover it so the money isn't an issue.... I am just such a WIMP!!!!! The gastric bypass was done laproscopic... I had 4 tiny little holes on my tummy when I woke up... didn't even have to stitch the holes:yay:

With the plastic surgeries ...you have to cut through all the nerve layers and then if the doc is GOOD and you dont want huge scars... they will stitch 1,000's of stitches instead of staples.....the surgery isn't as dangerous but ohhhh so much more painful than anything else I have experienced
The type of TT I want if I ever get brave enough is the belted TT... it goes all the way around your waist ..pulling skin from your hips as well as the front of your tummy. I have had friends who after WLS did this type of TT and they lost 20 pounds of skin:rotfl:

Good morning GF girls!

Praline....OMG...I sent that to the right person then! :rotfl2: A friend of mine sent it to me. It already said the Disneyland stuff.....I just cracked up - what freaks...ok so not so bad if it was getting crazy wild at mardi gras then!:rotfl: :rotfl: About the brushes.....when I was at Ulta I was feeling the brushes and asked the ladies...they also had a very full kabuki looking brush (not BM brand) but it actually had feathered ends. They were soooo soft and light so to give the sheerest coverage. The outer bristles were normal, but there was an inner circle of these "feathers". I bought the kit with the fan brush instead but they said this type of brush is nice for super light layers. I was playing around and if I use the regular face brush and use the clear radiance, I look glittery. When I just use the fan brush it seems to give just a nice glow w/out looking tacky.

Kelly!! Hi! You're back! You have to post tons of pics and info, please!

Marci- that is awesome about the WW and you,too.....after all this reading and inspiration I feel like I can get myself back on track....except I leave for vacation next week & right now I am scared of the scale.:guilty: What are the WW 2 pt bars?? I haven't seen those? Like a protein bar? Thanks for the tips on hitting the stopping spot, too. I will take any inspiration I can get! I know it works. I just have to WANT it bad enough to be disciplined and get into the groove. Once I am there, it's easy.:thumbsup2

Poohgirl!
I think I will use your Sept goal, too....I will be at the GF RPC celebrating our 20th anniv in Sept! *hoping anyway*

Fishy - You make some good points....very true and they hit home...I hit my stopping point at 50lbs. Before that my losing had really slowed down and it was just a smidge at a time. I also like the shorter goals. I think I will try taht this time because it won't seem as daunting.

Happy day, all!:goodvibes

I had Gastric Bypass last April and I have lost 110 pounds. I feel like a different person and it was by far the greatest gift I could have given myself but ohhh I hear you on the extra skin, I pretty much have to fold my breasts oragami style into my bras :rotfl:. I am going to see a surgeon in late April to see if we can correct that "little" problem!

I had a tummy tuck after I had my daughter 6 years ago and painful doesn't describe it BUT once you get through it a flat tummy will make it worth it trust me! Even after all the weight I gained and then lost with the surgery my tummy is still in pretty good shape. It appears flat but that is more optical illusion than anything but that is good enough for me!

I just got some BareM but I have not played with them, one set came with a DVD so I just need some time to sit down and watch it.
