Channing, I know this is not Easter, but

This is what the MK Bakery made for us at Christmastime. I called the Bakery (which I guess would now mean to call the cake hotline) and requested a Christmas themed Mickey cake to be delivered to us at LTT for our MVMCP dinner. This is what they gave me... I am sure they could do something similar for Easter...

I am off to hunt down the cake thread... I will do anything to put off cleaning my house today!

Ok you have gotten me curious about BM. Where is the best place to buy the starter set? Is there any thing else that you would recommend I get with it?

Christine- I got my starter set at Ulta. Another great place to get starter sets that don't necessarily sell in the stores is QVC on-line. They have eye sets, cheek sets, lip sets etc.

Kristin, is Bare Escentuals the same as Bare Minerals?? When I called Ulta for the appointment I could have sworn they called it Bare Escentuals. I am going to go check out qvc, too!

Channing, Bare Escentuals is the parent company. Bare Minerals, Rare Minerals etc. are all product lines under that name (Confusing, I know)

Check out the starter kit there with the DVD, even after shipping it is about $10 LESS thatn Ulta...

Can you see what's in my cart??? I am buying the DVD kit in the mediums, but I do have light skin so also included the foundation in light so I can maybe blend it /mix it whatever????

I don't think you will need the light foundation- it is REALLY light. I wear medium in the fall as my tan fades. It is a lot lighter than you think...

The only thing I would change is get rid of the Bare Radiance and Well Rested and get the 5 piece Beloved Beauty (A9345), which includes Well Rested and Clear Radiance, plus summer bisque (which is a concealer), vanilla sugar eyeshadow (Which is an AWESOME base color- very sheer) and a glimmer. Then maybe add the maximum concealer brush to use for the well rested and bisque...

I love the eye kit and the cheek kit!! And I have never seen that mineral veil before (Score!!!)

I did UPS...can't wait til it all comes. What fun! I think this really might become an addiction. I bet ti would be even worse to be IN the store and have all that selection and more at my disposal....

Hello GF'ers!

Wow - I can't believe in a matter of days you guys have filled up 20 pages - and you weren't even talking about the infamous skirt all that much! (Channing - glad you got your $$ back on that one! )

Kelly - hope the tooth continues to improve! How wonderful to be on your way in a week's time!

All this talk of Bare Minerals, and I think you guys have me convinced. I've been wanting to switch make-up for a while (use primarily Bobbi Brown, and I'm just a little tired of it), and this sounds like something I'm looking for. I'm not a huge make-up mix/match person (and Channing, you're not alone in only using Oil of Olay! ), but if it truly doesn't take long and it will give me better coverage/evening, I'll take it. Think I may need to go shopping soon, although makeup counters intimidate me!
