I am SO MAD. I called Paypal to find out MY rights in this.....basically it's a waiting game. That lady is a witch. I forgot that I even sent her items FREE because she had asked about them (some didn't sell) and wanted them so I just included them in her stuff. They were nice and NEW and she not once even mentioned them. I bet I will never see those again....Scr*w her. I am going to Disney World. :rotfl: I need to remember that.

Kelly, you need to tell me how to do this CVS thing!! That is so cool. We just got one kind of near. I have never been in a CVS before.

Amy,
maybe there is something to be said about eloping? I have divorced parents and they made my wedding planning h*ll. Family can really stink sometimes. I couldn't do a WDW wedding ever because we are the only WDW fans here.

I was playing with my new camera today and took a pic of myself up close....OMG...that BM stuff can't get here soon enough.:rotfl2: :rotfl2: PLUS here I am a fair brunette and I think I need some facial hair remover.:rotfl2: Ugh.....I used Nair but it doesn't work on my tough stuff.:rotfl2:

that CVS thing is easy starting buying the paper and check out
www.hotcouponworld.com
they have a great site there and everyone is soo nice
I even know a lady who i buy qs from shes the best. Sometimes better than the paper as you can get more.
Right now my bathroom cabinet
I have 4 boxes haircoloring, 20+ tubes of tooth paste all good brands crest colgate, 24+ rolls of TP, 4 different styles of razors, 30+ bottles of shampoo and conditioner. Sunsilk, loreal, herbals, pantene all good brands.
The ECB program at CVS is worth the time.

Chan which BM shade did you get?

Lindsay i dont know what kind of room you should get ;)

I got the set that was mediums. Kristin recommended that - she said they look dark but go on lighter than they look. If htey are too darkish I will buy a single lighter shade and blend them in I guess. I can't wait til they get here. :thumbsup2

Kelly, you crack me up with the 30 bottles of shampoo & 24 tubes of toothpaste.:rotfl: I can't believe all the deals you got. That is crazy amazing. I am going to have to look into this stuff. I spend a fortune at Target on junk like that. Any money saved is good Disney money.:goodvibes

Channing -- that really stinks about the idiot on ebay. Journal and document everything that happened in case you need it for later. That's incredible that you added free stuff and she's complaining, even though you told her to return what she didn't want. Some people can never be pleased.

Praline -- congrats to your DS! My oldest DS did cub scouts for a while, but with all the sports (soccer, baseball, basketball) we couldn't keep it up. The scouts was through school, which is 45 min to an hour from us, so it became difficult to hang around Dallas for meetings, then to get home late, and the troop was doing meetings during the week so it cut in to homework time as well.

Lindsay -- maybe we should meet at NorthPark and visit the BM store. :)

Kelly -- I like CVS, too. It's the only decent place in my small town to get deals on a lot of the things you are buying. We have probably 5 dollar stores, and there are occasionally some good deals there, but it's mostly off-brand, and there are just some things I can't buy off-brands and use.

Amy -- hang in there with the wedding prep and demanding guests. I won't tell that Disney allows guests...;)

My oldest DS was in a baseball tournament this weekend, and they won it. Andrew was on on cloud 9 last night.

The weather was nuts. Saturday, the wind was gusting at about 25 - 35 most of the afternoon, and it was pretty cool. It was sunny, so I had to stay in shade and got a little red on my neck, but was mostly wind burned. I didn't get home until about 9 that night, as I stayed to watch my youngest nephew's team play.

We had to get up before 5 yesterday, leave by about 6 or so because the boys had a game at 8:30, and we had to be there by 7:30. It was extremely windy and cold -- windchill in the low 30s. No one was really that prepared --it was supposed to get up to 75, but that didn't happen. Winds gusting 30 - 45 mph (I even had sand caked up in my ears, the wind storms were so bad.) We then had to wait around all day to get the pool play finished and seeded. We ended up seeded first in our pool, which was what ended up with our win. We were supposed to play at 4:50, but they were running around an hour behind schedule. We started the inning, and before we finished batting a monsoon came through. Since we were seeded first we won the tournament.

I'm almost glad to be back at work today. Have a great day, ladies!

Hi guys....

Marci YEAH! You and Lindsay should get to that BM store. Kristin and I are doing that in April and have appointments to get our make up done.:goodvibes I am so not used to that, haha....I am one that cringes and avoids those free sample, perfume spraying people in dept stores. :rotfl: Thanks for the advice on the Ebay. I need to check my emails and see what ugliness Monday has brought from this situation. I don't need the hassle if she'd just return the stuff all would be good. Duh. In a few years of Ebay she is my first pissy buyer. That is awesome about your son's team!:thumbsup2 Your weather sounds crazy & totally all over the place......we have had one heck of a winter up here. It is supposed to go from 57 to 32 today. I am stuck on the school being 45 minutes away!! Wow. That is wild to me.

Kelly, are you packed?? I am excited for you, haha.:rotfl:

Praline, you must have had a busy Sunday.....where are ya?:rotfl:

Kristin - you too! :confused3

Amy, ya, hang in there. Just remember it's YOUR day. You will have the time of your life once you get thru this planning hassle.

Did you guys watch Rock of Love???? OK, what is Amber even doing on that show with all those dirty girls. She is such a step above the rest. She looks & seems so classy especially compared to the others. There was some tension last night, huh? What is the hate on Kristy Joe? So she's messed up. :confused3 The girls seem jealous of her to me. BIG QUESTION HERE.....who the heck is Bret Michaels???:rotfl: :rotfl: I heard he was from Guns and Roses, but I only remember Axyl Rose - not sure who BMicheals is. :rotfl2: Does he ever remove his bandana? That is getting old with me. Also, I noticed his guy liner last night. ick. Why am I watching that show?:rotfl2: How about the Maybe Brady show?? :goodvibes They are crazy and crude. I wonder if they will last. I have wondered from the start.....I am thinking they'll be like Jessica and Nick and when the show ends so will they.:rolleyes1 I love Sunday night TV.:thumbsup2

Happy day!! The kids have 1/2 day due to Casimire Pulaski Day.:confused3

I got overwhelmed trying to expand my horizons and order more, new BM stuff, so I decided to wait and go to the store near me that carries it instead ... We will see how that goes! :rotfl:

Channing, I have a feeling your ebay stuff will turn out ok. Won't she have to give some sort of proof that the stuff is not as described? I don't think ebay/Paypal will just take her word for it, will they? Your situation is ironic to me because I just started selling things on ebay last week. Mostly DD's clothes. I have bought lots of stuff, but never sold before. So far, so good. What a hassle for you though!

I watch Rock of Love. I hope Ambre wins, but for her sake in the long run, it may be better if she doesn't. I can't wait 'til next week when it looks like Kristy Joe tells her current husband on the phone that she wants to go through the divorce. How classy ...
I googled Bret Michaels and he was in the band Poison.

I spent my weekend getting DD's Dr. Seuss costume together. I also had to make "Dr. Seuss" themed cupcakes for the class.
Here are a few pics of her costume. She wanted to be Thing 2 from Cat in the Hat. :goodvibes

:wave2: Hi everyone!

Thank goodness you were quiet over the past couple of days- don't know if I have it in me to read 10 pages!! I feel blah today- not sick- just sick of this crappy weather!!!

Lindsay- keep the GF!!! I like AKL (we were upgraded to savannah) but it still can't compare to the GF!! :cloud9:

Kelly- are you blonde or brunette?? Most blondes will do better with light Bare Minerals and Brunettes with medium (the starter kit gives 2 variations of that shade). I am blonde and use fairly light in the winter, then move to light as I get a little tan (but don't stay for long) and then medium in the summer (And I add faux tan to that by August when I am in "peak" color)

Andrea- the costume is adorable!!!

Amy- I feel your pain about the wedding. Even though mine was almost 11 years ago, I remember all that stress like yesterday! Just hold your ground about not getting any "tag alongs" on your honeymoon!!

Rock of Love- I love this show!! Brett is the lead singer of Posion. DH really thinks he is going to pick Ambre but wants to pick Kristy Jo (but won't because of her baggage). I am glad he got rid of Inna- Destiny needs to be next!!! RUmor has it VH-1 is speaking to Tommy Lee about doing the series next...

Channing- this is why I never Ebay. People are crazy!!! I could probably make a killing on all the Gymboree clothes, but I don't want the hassle. We donate them to the shelter and take the tax write off instead...

Boy, I hope I covered it all... I am off to nap!

Kristin

Adorable! Great job, mom!

Channing - so sorry to hear about your eBay issues. As a general rule, I don't get on there much - I have unfortunately had my share of not-so-good transactions, and have never actually sold. I figure it's more pain than it's worth. I'm with Kristen - we take the tax deduction and don't look back! I hope eBay and PayPal do something to back you - what a kook!

Marci - yes, maybe we should arrange a rendezvous at BM! :thumbsup2 I'm like Channing - I hate make-up counters and usually avoid them like the plague. The only place I've ever felt comfortable was the Neiman's downtown, because it's not as busy there. We would have to promise to be brutally honest with one another, though. ;)

Kristen - so sorry that you're feeling under the weather. Hope the nap helps!

Andrea!! :goodvibes That costume is adorable & your cupcakes look cute, too!!! wow! Great job. I love it.:goodvibes :thumbsup2 I bet your DD got lots of compliments.

Kristin, thanks about the "Poison"....I didn't think he was from Guns and Roses but somebody told me a while ago he was so I went with it. :upsidedow I don't get the attraction.:rotfl2: I wonder what he looks like w/out the bandana...is he bald?:rotfl: I hope you get over the blahs. I totally know what you mean....this yucky weather has to go. It is just so rare we have sunshine anymore.:sad2:

Well as far as Ebay...I told that lady AGAIN this morning to return the whole thing. I don't want to have her coming back to me again in two weeks griping about someting else. I'd rather just take it all back, refund her and be done. She finally replied today....I think I emailed her 4 times. I bet she was just toying with me. The WORST thing is, I owe somebody for making beautiful custom sweatshirts for my girls and I went to pay her today and my paypal acct is locked due to this stupid thing this witch did to me!!! I have NEVER had anything like this happen before. :headache: I make a lot of cash Ebaying the girls used and or new clothes they've outgrown. In Feb I made $2500. I will sell more summery stuff after we get back from spring break. Believe me, even though I sell the good stuff I still donate the soso stuff and I have TONS. I am a clothes junky. :rolleyes1 It's a sickness.:rotfl: Luckily, this woman is the first cruddy buyer I have ever had in a couple years of selling. I only sell seasonally, too. I do a couple weeks of mega listings to clear out and make room for more. It works for me.;) I enjoy it. I buy on Ebay too. I collect Judi Boisson quilts and rugs and pillows and I buy limited ed art pieces. Hey, the sale of one of my lithos paid for my July WDW trip last summer.:thumbsup2 It quadrupled in value and I made a good profit.:cool1: Usually Ebay is fun. The bad apples ruin it - just like they ruin everything else. :sad2:

Talk to ya later!:)

I am a burnette

I also watch rock of love and I have no idea where they get these women
he is a washed up rock star from the 80s
Ambre seems like the only normal one

Kelly are ya packed??? :cool1: Everything still a go?

Wow, it's been quiet here today. No Praline....where'd she go?:confused3

It seems so empty over on the GF Faq thread. Kind of sad.:guilty:

Ya, where do they get those Rock of Love girls??!!?! Tommy Lee on the next one! I don't get THAT attraction, either. :rotfl: Ew.

Did anybody ever watch Rock Star SuperNova or the original?? I loved that show. Speaking of T Lee makes me think of that one.

:)

Hi GF gals...do you mind if I join in?? You all are the BEST chatters on the Dis. :thumbsup2

I dont watch Rock of Love, but the girl who won last year Jes, her aunt worked at our school~so we were getting updates everyweek. She kept telling me its the one with the pink hair, but wasn't there 2? :confused3
My reality obsession is AI and Survivor!

Channing, that is amazing about your ebaying...I am in awe. I buy here and there on ebay but I haven't sold anything~too intimidated.

Guess who joined the Bare Minerals dept?? Nordstrom! Guess they believe in the product too! Let me know how it is...my mom and I were going to go to Sephora over the weekend to get a demonstration, but ran out of time.

Hi, tinklvr! I am really looking forward to receiving my Bare Minerals stuff. Where is there a Sephora?? Oakbrook?? or is there one at Woodfield?? I haven't been to either in quite a while.

Oh, that Jes was a good one last season. I watched it periodically, but it's not something I can watch with my daughters around haha....I only caught it in repeats here and there. I am not sure what happened....I think she or he kind of bailed at the unveiling of who he chose. It was awkward. I remember that.:rotfl:

Oh, yes...I love Ebay usually. This is the first really bad situation I have found myself in. Hopefully that nut will mail the items back and once I refund her she'll let go of my Paypal acct. I told her I want everything sent back to me because I don't trust that she won't cause me a headache down the road.

Talk to ya later:)

We were at Oakbrook, but Woodfield does have a Sephora too.

Has anyone checked out Piperlime.com??? they have a fantastic clearance section...one drawback is sale is final in the clearance section. Regular and sale can be sent back free shipping and returns. Oooh this is my new fav shoe shop.

Ever heard of Big Buddha Bags?? These are the best bags for travel and everyday very trendy looking and cheap!!... I found one at Von Maur over the weekend soo cute! The guy who makes these bags is only 21, lives in CA and surfs the rest of the time! I want that job. Check them out online..ebigbuddha.com

Ok no more stalling, I have to go write my paper for class.

bye, dawn :flower3:

Thanks for the compliments on the costume and cupcakes. :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes
DD was very happy and she had a great day.

I am new to selling on ebay. I have made a nice bit of money on a handful of items. I only list a few things at a time right now because that is all I can manage at once without losing track of who gets what. :rotfl:
Channing, that is terrible about your Paypal account. That is just cr*p, esp. since you have such positive feedback, I am sure.
On a related note, does anyone know if Puerto Rico is considered domestic mail??? Someone won an auction with a PR mailing address and is assuring me USPS Flat Rate will cover it ... Does anyone know about this before I have to go deal with my not-so-friendly local postal workers! :rotfl:

Did anyone read Oprah's latest Book Club choice, A New Earth and participate in the online class tonight? I was planning to do it, but worked on Dr. Seuss this weekend instead of reading the book ... I started watching the online class but decided to turn it off since I have only read two chapters and I watched Jon and Kate Plus 8 and Making the Band 4 instead. :rotfl:

Have a great night, everyone.
- Andrea

Hello There Everyone!!

What a great thread to chit chat!!! I unfortunately have been busy and alittle down. My father in law who I was VERY close with passed away last Monday!!!

I am only telling you this because I finally dragged myself over the computer and started to catch up on all the posts and found myself feeling better then I have in days!! So basically I just want to say Thanks!!!!:goodvibes

Thank goodness we have something to look forward to, even if it is over 4 months away. We live in NY and its going to hit 60 degrees today!!! I can't wait to wear flip flops!!!

By the way, can someone give me alittle info. about the pearl thing in Epcot? I have never heard of it!! Is it worth a visit??:flower3:

Andrea, I think PR is domestic mail....here is a link to info re mailing items to PR.

http://www.ribbs.usps.gov/files/Addressing/PR_AND_USVI_ADDRESSING_-_ENGLISH.PDF

I have never had somebody from PR win, so I am not positive, but pretty close to it that they are domestic.

WishesQueen....I am sorry about your FIL.:grouphug: :flower3:

Epcot...the pearl thing in Japan is fun. We do it just about every time. You buy a little ticket for about $16 (I remember when it was $12, haha) and get a number and wait your turn to choose an oyster. Somebody told me that the ugliest ones - they are all pretty ugly though;) - have the biggest pearl. It seems to work. Jojo always gets about an 8 mm pearl. For jumbos like that they bang a gong and make a todo about it. They polish it w/salt and tell you the color & size. They are all pretty. There are several setting choices in sterling and also gold. We do sterling for the girls. They can be very reasonable for WDW IMO. It takes about 20 minutes after you've chosen a setting for them to make it and then you turn in your receipt and you're on your way. You can't wear the item for 24 hrs so that the glue dries completely.

My girls had only 1/2 day yesterday so it is so nice and quiet here now....I am free. :thumbsup2 Yesterday Lucy went w/friends to see the Penelope movie.(they all thought it was really good with a VERY NICE message:) ) I couldn't talk Jojo into going so we spent the afternoon playing Mystery Date and Jenga etc. We made muffins and just hung out. It was fun but I was having Dis withdrawals, haha....when she'd run to the bathroom etc I'd hop on here for a quickie.:rotfl: :rotfl:

Happy day!! Oh! I got some cute stuff in the mail that a wonderful Ebay lady made for us....I am gonna post pics....

Talk to ya later!!
:goodvibes
