Have you gotten a COVID vaccine?

FINALLY! I was finally able to get DW an appointment for her shots. We're taking DD back to UCF in Orlando Tuesday after a brief B-Day visit home, and I was able to get appointments in Orlando! Actually very convenient for the first shot, and we can make the second shot work if we have to drive back up for it.

So now, everybody will be vaccinated except DD 18, and we'll start stalking hers on April 5th.
I'm glad you were finally able to find an appointment, but I'm surprised you had a hard time finding one in South Florida. Our DS found us one Sunday for Monday morning. That was the first day we were eligible. I had previously signed us up on myvaccine.fl.gov to be contacted, when we were eligible. They called & left us 6 messages on Tuesday trying to book an appt. for us. When DH saw they had called so many times, he called them back to tell them we had already been vaccinated. It wasn't 30 minutes, after he called them, that someone else called trying to set up an appointment for us. After he reiterated to that person that we had already had our first shot, they finally stopped calling. I guess we got in at the right time.

ETA: I posted this, before I saw your last post. I'm glad she was able to get an appt. closer to home.

31 hours post Pfizer shot #2.

Dh refereed 6 u14 to u17 soccer games today. Just a sore arm and tired

I cleaned house and did laundry today quickly just in case symptoms hit. Abt 24 hours post shot I was cold and had a lower backache and a little dizzy. Went outside and pulled weeds until I warmed up. Came in and took 3 motrin and a shower. Felt fine. Went to a baby shower. (Outdoor crawfish boil. I sat with fully vaccinated relatives) Still feel fine. We will see what tomorrow brings.

Received my second Pfizer shot back in Jan but recently got Covid from my wife. Be safe after receiving it..
Will you take an antibodies test, to establish what your ‘load’ is? Are you taking any other meds that could have dimmed the effectiveness of the vaccine? There are some new strains about so maybe you were unlucky and contracted one of those. I hope that you and your wife are ‘on the mend’.

I was supposed to have my second AZ on 24th March but the UK Government moved the appointments from 10 weeks apart to 11 weeks apart. I couldn't make the alternative appointment so now it's April 5th, which is 2 days short of the 12 week maximum.. I'm a nurse working at the vaccincation centre as overtime so may receive it earlier if a spare vaccine left at the end of the day before then. We try not to waste a single dose, it's so precious.

Thank you for all your hard work.
