Have you gotten a COVID vaccine?

My son (25) had his 2nd Pfizer two days ago. He had a sore shoulder. Maybe a small headache when he woke up but he thought that was from not drinking enough water. He worked out the night of the vaccine and the next day. He felt fine.

My other son and I both get our 2nd shots today. Not looking forward to it. I’m hoping I get as few side effects as my oldest son.

Wow that is far! Glad he was able to get an appointment though :)
He was just able to reschedule for Monday at a location that’s only a 3 hour round trip drive. He says the first location still has lots of open availability for tomorrow. It’s a shame if vaccines are going unused because it’s an underutilized facility. At that point they should just open it up to anyone willing to make the drive!

Oh that's great! Much closer relatively speaking.

Agreed.

on Long Island NY where my sister lives they were offering shots in Plattasburg and Potsdam which are at least 6 hours one way.

I was able to get the first dose of Mederna yesterday at about 3:30. I have had a really sore arm. Much worse then other vaccines I have had. It was hard to brush my hair this morning. I also was wide awake most of last night. I maybe only got about 4 hours of sleep. The only other symptom I have is that I have not had an apatite. Other then a few fries last night (I made myself eat something), I haven't had anything to eat since lunch yesterday. I don't feel sick just not hungry at all.

I have been taking two Tylenol about every 6 hours. This has helped with my arm some. Still hurts quite a bit though.

Our state has a general registration site that you fill out with your information. Each county gets this info. When you are eligible by phase, you receive an email that has locations with days and times available listed. You pick what works for you and submit. We have 6 different locations at this time in our county.

In the last 3 days, I've gotten two texts from CVS saying they have hundreds of doses available for qualified people. I'm done with my vaccinations, but apparently supplies are really starting to flow.

The State of Florida also just opened up three more sites in South Florida -- two in the Ft. Lauderdale area and one in Miami.

We're getting there.

They just need to open it up for my group. I’d be there in a heartbeat.

And...as soon as I post that, Publix announces that ALL 730 of their pharmacies in Florida will begin offering vaccinations starting Monday. ALL 730!

I get my second Moderna tomorrow- can’t wait!.... And I’m probably overly optimistic that I will be totally fine. The first one I just had a sore arm and it wasn’t even that sore. I’ll just be glad to have it overwith either way. Better days ahead!

I had swelling and itching from COVID arm for over a week. It was approximately 3"x 5". I had no enlarged lymph nodes although I rescheduled the mammogram appointment I'd for three months.
THe downside is many people have already delayed mammograms because of Covid so we are asking people not to cancel if they are already scheduled but to not schedule their future appointment until 6 wks after.

I had to reschedule several times within the past year for COVID-related issues. My original appointment was canceled by the hospital. I had to cancel the second appointment because I had been directly exposed at work (same hospital.) Rescheduled date fell right after dose 2 when I had an enlarged node and they told me to reschedule. I'm not concerned (it's my first), but it has been a little frustrating, to say the least!

One of my bros gets his 2nd Moderna next Wednesday.
Other bro (who has had Covid) gets gets his 2nd shot (Pfizer) next Thursday.
My parents (88 and 90) get their 2nd Moderna shot next Saturday.
A DIL (who works at a clinic) gets her 2nd Pfizer also next Saturday,

I'll keep you guys posted on their results. :)

Sounds like a great approach. Which state do you live in?
