I think I will have Mom come over this morning and take me! Going to be a nice day here, but rain tomorrow! I have decided to go ahead and cook, but Mom and Gary told me not to overdo it. It will just be me, Gary, Mom and God Mother age 87. DD Lauren is not going to be able to make it home, she has to work..

So I will keep it simple and we will have a nice meal for Easter. Going to make out my grocery list and get ready to go. Wow it is so cloudy here, I think the rain may come in earlier that what they thought! I bet the stores will be crowded today.

No. I haven't! Care to share your menu? Please include any must have recipes too (no green bean casserole please! My family would shoot me!)

The golf club has an Easter Buffet every year. We are going to that. I don't want to cook this year.

I went twice yesterday. Once before work for everything I could leave in the car all day.(I had more time then.) And again on the way home for the cold stuff. DH will pick up the heavenly ham tomorrow. There will be 9 of us; my family with DD coming home from college, my brother and his family form CT, and my mom from about an hour away. (We have to pick her up too.)

One of the side dishes we like with ham is a pineapple stuffing type of casserole.

Any way I could get you to share that pineapple suffing recipe? Sounds yummy!!

I always wait unti the Friday befor to shop.

Not for everything and your thread actually reminded me that I have to go to the meat market and get kilbasa (sp?). My 100% Polish DH must have this on the table for Easter :confused3  :rotfl2:  .

I'm probably run out tomorrow or even Saturday to get fresh vegetables.

It's just going to be the 3 or us and my DB so at least it'll be relaxing.

Here's what we're having:

kilbasa and saurkraut
turkey tenderloin
roasted asparagus and red peppers
relish tray
steamed new potatoes
petit fours and ice cream

I haven't gone yet. Today's payday though, which means it's also grocery day (yay!) :teeth: I'n in no rush though. For once, I'm not the one doing the holiday meal cooking, I'm just bringing some side dishes.
It's a good thing, because I need therapy after christmas and thanksgiving!

I WAS going to finish it today, as Thursday is my "take mom to the grocery day." However, I missed the bottom stair last night, and sprained my ankle, so I'm hobbing around with a cane, and taking Lortab. No driving for me.

I bought lamb chops last week, so really only had to buy fresh vegetables, wine, and dessert fixings.

I'm hoping the pain will ease and I'll be moving better by Saturday.

me too and arent the crowds the most fun then? LOL

Oh well Costco here I come. There are few things better than a Kirkland Brand smoked spiral sliced ham!
