On thursday after again breakfsat in the lounge. I had a cabanna reserved for this day. it was my twins 4th Birthday and we were having a party in the cabanna poolside. We had cabanna ten which was great it had a perfect view of teh slide. We swam all morning had some relatives come over to join the already 13 of us at HRH. And I decorated the cabanna and we bought puppy cakes at Goodings and had a party. I had shipped down 2 boxes ahead of time one with the party goods prizes decorations etc... The other with gifts. We had a great time. Stayed till 5pm. Spending 90% of the day in the pool. The partiers that we were my BF and I each had one drink. I had the purple rain which was wonderful. And he a tequila shooter. Which was only mid shelf tequila. He was less impressed. It was the first drink I have had in like 10 years so big for me.
We had a great day and a great Birthday. That night we had a fireworks cruise that we took from the Poly. We fed all the kids at captain cooks. The weather held off no lightning!!! And had a great cruise. This would mark the 3rd year in a row, That my 4 year olds would mark the end of the day on thier Birthday on a fireworks cruise. A very nice tradition, I may say. DB and his GF took the older to to Bob Marleys fro dessert after and witnessed another drunken fight where my dd had someone shoved into her. So now this is the 2nd drunken fight in as many days. Again I was not happy.
On Friday My Bf and his kids were leaving early. He thought at 2pm.... We had all the kids set for the pool and he called to confirm his flight, which good thing. Because he actually had to leave NOW!!!!! his plane left at 11 am. So a mad dash to pack suitcases and wayward toys and clothes and they literally ran out of there. Now we were down to ten.
We decided to go over to Universal and do all the kids stuff. Jimmy Neutron, Barney etc....WE got in the gate and almost to the seats at Jimmy Neutron when they shut the ride. It seemed someone had gotten sick and they were cleaning up.
Once my twins heard that they were out of there they are very squeamish about smells!!!So we left the park entirely by thier choice with out doing a single thing. And spend the rest of the day in the HRH's pool. Which in retrospect was a good choice. It was just unbearably hot for us.
Off to the Crowne Plaza at the Airport where I had one night booked for our early flight. Prepaid through Hotwire. When we pulled up a large section of the front of the hotel was missing cement , The Portico over the lobby was fairly well smashed. It looked like a war zone. And it was dark. A man was outside in the parking lot, which by the way had alot of cars that had EXTENSIVE damage. He insisted to come on in. That it looked bad but was still open as The County said it was not structural? Ok your kidding right???? smashed glass everywhere and no food on the premises except for the red cross stuff. We did not stay. I bailed on the 2 rooms we had and paid 165 per night at The MCO Hyatt. ( per room. )
All in all. it was a good vacation. Would I stay at HRH again? Yes, I would. I would also stay club level for sure. It met our needs traveling with small kids. I was disapointed in the lack of communication regarding all the things that were canceled for the kids. And the behavior of more than a few patrons. But overall the pool was a hit and the hotel itself was alot of fun.
