Hannah Montana Tour Dates

I have two teens who wanted to see The Jonas Brothers in Charlotte. The tickets just went on sale on Ticketmaster at 12 noon. I was on prior to that and as soon as the page came up to purchase tix, I entered 4, but got the message no tickets match your request. I tried all different numbers: 1, 2, 3, but the same message. I also tried Greensboro and Atlanta but got the same thimg. I tried for 20 minutes and finally gave up. Apparently these scalpers are able to get in when us common folk can't. I can't believe the artists aren't trying to do something about this. I told my teens that the only way I would pay $500 a ticket would be if The Jonas Brothers picked us up in a limo, took us out to eat, let us sit on the stage, and took us home after the show.

I told them not to get their hopes up because I had been reading all these stories of people being shut out. They did get to see The Jonas Brothers in July at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach and they got to go backstage to meet them. I told them that they got as close as they probably ever will and to just be happy about it.

Oh, and tickets for The Police went on sale at 10 a.m. and there are still tickets available for them. Hannah Montana sold out before The Police...GO FIGURE!:confused3

Has anyone had luck with the presale tix? I can buy on Sept. 25th and the general sales are on the 29th so I'd like to know my chances for that.
I got tickets during the presale. They are lower bowl, but not the best (I am not complaining, just FYI). Friends of mine did get better seat during the presale though. Some were very good seats. I tried this morning to see what I could get today and NOTHING. I was curious and entered 1 ticket at any price and nothing came up within the first 2 min. :sad2:
I read all of the advice on this thread and had ticketmaster up and ready at 8:00am and kept hitting the back button throughout the morning and was in front of my computer 10 min. before the sale started. When my computer showed 10:00 I wasn't getting anything different and it took about 1 minute for the page to come up to start buying tickets so don't panic if Ticketmaster's clock isn't exactly like your computers (I was panicking). Other people I know waited too long to log in and either couldn't even get their code or they were stuck on Mileys World. I already had mine copied and pasted and ready to go.

I just wish there weren't so many people willing to pay the grossly inflated broker prices. I wonder how many of these "brokers" are owned or partly funded by Ticketmaster. I know it sounds very "conspiracy theory", but that's the only explanation I can think of for the tickets selling out within seconds and the brokers having thousands of them.

I was surprised to see that Kelly Clarkson tickets weren't sold out here in her home town. Not that I'm interested, but I could get pretty decent tickets if I wanted to.

They're obviously out there. There are 4 tix for Chicago on eBay with 2min left in the auction - current bid $1625.09 for 4 tix in the lower bowl row H.

I asked my husband how many seats he thought were in our arena and he said 12000. I figure about 2/3 of them are able to be sold for the concert. That leaves 8000 tickets. The ticket brokers have contracts with the venues to purchase X amount of tickets for every event. Let's say brokers get 2000 seats. That leaves 6000 seats available for purchase. I would guess a hundred seats are held back in case of stage changes, etc. We are now at 5900 seats available. That means 5900 seats/ 4 seats per person= About 1475 people can actually purchase tickets. When you divide that between the presale and general sale, I can see how they sell out in minutes. I am guesstimating all of these numbers, but it is just to give an idea.

Seriously, I can't believe there is so much money out there and it's not in my bank account! DH makes a very comfortable life for us and I consider our income to be on the higher end in our mainly middle class community, but the thought of paying over $200 for a stinking concert ticket makes my skin crawl. DD would love to go, but she understands that if I can't get the tickets, it's not because I don't love her.

I just checked out ticketmaster to see the set up and there is no presale date listed for Hartford, just the regular sale. I looked at Mileyworld and there "is" a presale for Hartford so I'm not sure if I should risk it or just go to another arena (luckily I'm in the center of 4 shows, all less than 1 hour away) Any advice?

Was anyone successful in Fort Worth? I had the search engine going at 10:01 for 2 tickets at best available and nothing. It makes me believe that Ticketmaster is just a scam.

We were on at exactly 10:00 and got nothing. DH was quick enough to get 4 tries typed in during the first 60 seconds and all came up as nothing available. We were trying for 2 tickets and left the other choices as best available and any price. We tried San Antonio at exactly noon with the same result. My DD would love to go but we were torn about pulling her from school for an overnight stay in the middle of the week for Miley Cyrus anyway so she understands perfectly that if it worked out we would do it, if not then it wasn't meant to be.

I've bought many concert tickets in the past and have never seen anything like this.

Who sets the prices when you sell on a site like stub hub?

I was looking and there were 3 tix for 700 a piece!!! for lower bowl. I could pay for a lifetime of straight teeth for that amount!!!!

Do people really pay that amount? or will those people be out at the venue trying to unload them?

Arg--I was gonna have my mom help try for 4 seats together for my family. Got her an account all set up on Ticketmaster, then when I log into the concert it says tickets are only available to residents of my state. (We recently relocated, so mom's in a different state.) Dang! Less than an hour left, don't know if I can get a friend to help in time or not. I'm on hold trying to figure out if the ticket limit per household was for the presale and the regular sale together or separately...anyone know?

That's really strange....I used my mom's cc so all the account info was hers and she lives in a different state.....I never saw or heard anything about that. I hope it didn't mess you up!

I am so sorry to hear that so many of you didn't have luck today. It makes my stomach hurt to think about all those $40 tickets selling for hundreds and thousands. I hope more tickets come up later and there are more opportunities for you!

We're in the Chicago area, got to the final button within 30 seconds and got no tickets available. I too think that Ticketmaster has a stake in the brokers' profits. That's not right. I will not pay broker prices.

My dd was really ok with it too! She just smiled and told us it was no big deal. She just went to see High School Musical in Chicago and was really happy with that. I think HSM is a little bigger for her than Hannah at the moment.

This was going to be part of a gift from my SIL (there were several of us trying by the way since she got shut out on the presale).

I know my SIL will come up with something else and it will be just as cool to my daughter because they are doing something together (they always have a major blast). Maybe they'll go see a concert that they can actually get tickets to. :rotfl2:

I will be voicing my displeasure to Miley also. It is not her fault, but hopefully, as a perfomer, she (or her company) will discourage the way things are done now. Because honestly? I won't be trying for tickets next year if she is still into Hannah. It is so not worth the time and stress.

I was able to get tickets this morning. I was at the eye doctor Tuesday, and missed the presale. I am very thankful to have been able to get any tickets at all.

I tried for tickets in Charlotte when they went on sale at noon also but I guess it wasn't to be. I'm disappointed, I'm not usually so unlucky. Thankfully I didn't even mention it to DD. I guess I'll just look at it as I saved about $300.

Chicago area here and I didn't get anything presale or public sale. Was on before 10am in both cases. I had my friend's husband trying today, and know someone else who didn't get anything either. I really think something has to be done about the ticket brokers buying all the tickets. It wasn't this way when I was younger and went to see concerts. I used to wait in line for tickets and end up with the first few rows if I was up toward the front of the line. Now you can't even get a seat, but there are 100's out there for outrageous prices. Everyone just needs to stop paying those high prices and run the brokers out of business, but I don't think that's going to happen because people will pay it. :confused3

I also got shut out of the presale and public sale for Gwinnett. I'm very mad about these ticket brokers and ebay listings. I sent a message to Miley World after the presale and never heard back. Total scam.

I did the same thing!

I think we should get together and write letters and e mails to CNN or whatever, get the media into this scams, do something, this is just not fair. I am going to write to Anderson Cooper, Ellen, Oprah, whatever, my DH thinks is crazy but is better than doing anything.

I am so sick! I paid the Miley World for nothing, the "Welcome Package" never arrived, and I didn't even got a chance on the pre sale.

5 minutes after the FAN CLUB pre sale, the tickets were already on sale all over the place, on e-bay and other websites!

I'm with ya! :thumbsup2

I printed pages and pages from e-bay and I am going to fax them all over the place.

To me is all a nasty scam, poor kids. :sad2:

it is unreal the following she has. I told dh it would be hard to get tickets and I dont think he believed me until we tried the other day. I know dd would of been understanding if I didnt get them at the ticketmaster prices. she actually went on ebay and was telling me how much tickets were- so I think at 7 she was getting the idea of how prices can become inflated. I would not of paid anymore for these tickets. I think what we paid was alot to begin with.
