Hannah Montana Tour Dates

it is unreal the following she has. I told dh it would be hard to get tickets and I dont think he believed me until we tried the other day. I know dd would of been understanding if I didnt get them at the ticketmaster prices. she actually went on ebay and was telling me how much tickets were- so I think at 7 she was getting the idea of how prices can become inflated. I would not of paid anymore for these tickets. I think what we paid was alot to begin with.

I know! Brokers know that we as parents do crazy things for our kids, and they are taking advantage of it.

Yep, I'm mad. I never got the welcome package, either. I really wonder how many tickets were actually even available to be sold at the presale and public sale, did the majority of them go to ticket brokers?!? They had them weeks before the presale even started. So much for getting your tickets before the public by joining the fan club. Ticket brokers seem totally illegal to me. It is all a big scam. Seriously.

Oh, and I had the java script error happen to me twice this morning, too when I first got on.

We never got our welcome package either and we signed up for the site in the middle of July. :sad2:

Gosh, I've been away all day so just checked in expecting to see lots of happy folks!! Now I feel guilty about my luck this morning - not guilty enough to offer them to anyone else, of course, but guilty nevertheless. I hope they release some more tickets and some of you can get lucky later.

I do agree with the poster who did the math, though, about the number of tickets available. It sure seems unfair when you are shut out, but with the computer there are literally thousands of us all hitting the button at exactly the same time. I'm sure you could find out exactly how many tickets are released by a venue to brokers, but I still think the majority are avialable to the general public - it's just that there are A LOT of general public who want them.

That membership price on Mileyworld is a bargain to all those brokers who buy up the tickets and then resell them. The membership is probably a write off as a business expense.

I Agree.

My DD checks the mail box everyday for the darn welcome package, and nothing!

I too recall some welcome package back in august but I havent held my breathe. I only did the free 30 day trial thing and cancelled the next day after I received my code. It really wasnt a site I wanted her on anyhow. she was fine with that and hasnt mentioned it since. anyhow as far as tickets go its like any other event- supply and demand. I swear I look at football tickets every year for dh and cringe on what they go for.. :confused3 It was nothing but luck to get these HM tickets and Im happy we did but it wouldnt of been the end of the world if she didnt get to go..

anyhow on that note. look who came to visit little girl yesterday. all thanks to grandpa that is. She tells me she is going in her room. YIKES that this is big. :lmao:

please give me advice! so after reading some of these, i see that when the general public ticket sale goes online, its only seconds before every single one is gone. But i cannot describe how much i want to go, so im nots ure if i should make a membership at mileyworld. by doing htis, i do not want to waste the 30 dollars if its not going to make my chances of getting a ticket any higher.i could also go to hartford, but theres no presale assigned. please help.i dontk now what to do!!

I am sure I will get flamed for saying this but I don't necessarily agree that Miley's World is the one you should be writing letters too. First, the membership fee is for a year use of the website. The presale code is supposed to be a perk, not the reason to join the club. Second, it is not HM's fault that the ticket brokers are able to get the tickets. This is the fault of the venues that guarantee people tickets, a part of the business for every concert. I am furious at the prices of these tickets and I definitely agree something needs to be done but I honestly don't believe HM has anything to do with it. The same exact thing happened with HSM, Cheetah Girls and almost every other concert around here. The performers do not benefit from the inflated prices.

I agree its not the performers fault. This occurs with every performer out there that sells tickets through ticketmaster. It is rare to be able to get tickets via regular means to see any artist. There has got to be a better way.

I agree with you. Its that way for any type of event these days. simple supply and demand as I stated before. there are people willing to pay top dollar and as long as they get it- things are not going to change. Nothing Mileyworld can do about it.. :confused3

I signed my daughter up for the site just for that - the site. This was in July and according to the site, she should have her welcome package by now. She doesn't.

I did not know about the presale through the site until I read about it on this board last month.

I have already said that this is not Miley's fault. However, I do not think there is anything wrong with writing the performer. Something does need to be done and I think that the performers can help to discourage this practice. Do you really think they want their fans to be dissappointed or to be paying such extreme prices? Maybe some of them don't care but some of them might and they might even voice their displeasure. Will it change things? Maybe not, but maybe the there will be less tickets released to the brokers and more to the public.

And, as stated, the performers don't benefit from the inflated prices. Looking at some of those prices, you have to wonder who is making more money here? I wonder how the performers feel about that. Sometimes, just because that is the way things are, doesn't mean they can't or shouldn't change.

I agree, too. Performers have been trying for years to get around the system, and keep the prices where they should be. It's all the promoters and venues that get greedypirate: . They know people will buy the $1200 ticket, and someone always does.

The only way to make it stop is not buy the overpriced ticket.

I hesitated to pay the $30 too, but I am so glad that I did. I know it did not help some people, but I would not have tickets now if I had not joined (I would also not have tickets if I had not had help from this everyone on this thread too). I tried during the regular sale to see if I could get better tickets and NOTHING was available. I was the best $30 I have spent. Just read though this thread and be prepared early on the presale day if you decide to join.

I am curious why you think that the venues and promters are to blame? How much do you think Hannah Montana is getting paid per show? How much do you think it will cost to promote her show?

I am sorry but that doesnt really make sense..the promotors and the venues know where the tickets get sold. They know the ticket brokers (ie. scalpers) are buying up crap loads of them and selling them for waaaay more then they should be. Someone should do something about it but they dont because its all about $$$ and not about the kids or whoever wants to see the shows

I agree that they know that brokers and scalpers buy up a bunch of tickets, we all know they do. How do they know for sure that the tickets are being bought by scalpers and brokers? What would be the solution to ensure that the tickets don't get into the hands of scalpers/brokers?

Everyone is placing blame on the venues and promoters, but no one is giving any proof or hard facts. I'm just trying to see where people are coming from in their thought process.

I see a lot of people posting that arenas are selling out in less than 2 minutes. Even if the computer tells you that there's nothing available, KEEP TRYING!

All the computer knows is that other people who hit the button a millisecond before you have a choice of tickets up on their screen, and the system holds those tickets for those people for 2 minutes. If those people decide to hit "search again" to look for better seats, or if they don't get all their payment info entered in time, the computer will re-release those tickets.

We got tickets for HSM in Chicago (regular sale) and HM in St. Louis (presale). Both times, I started searching right at the release time, and no tickets came up until 10 or 15 minutes later. Getting a message that there are no tickets available at less than 2 minutes after the sale starts is kind of like calling for tickets and getting a busy signal. You just have to keep putting in your preferences and searching. I wouldn't give up unless it had been at least 30 minutes and you're still not getting anything.

Hi. I just wanted to copy and paste something from the Jonas Brothers Myspace page:

HANNAH MONTANA/JONAS BROTHERS TOUR:

There have been a lot of comments about tickets selling out quickly. We really want to see everyone. We do not have control over tickets. There are a large number of people buying tickets. Please check the schedule and be ready to purchase OR they will be gone.

I know it doesn't help or address the whole scalper issue, but wanted you to know that the Jonas Brothers (I assume Hannah Montana also) are aware of the issues and it looks like they can't do much about it.
