I have two teens who wanted to see The Jonas Brothers in Charlotte. The tickets just went on sale on Ticketmaster at 12 noon. I was on prior to that and as soon as the page came up to purchase tix, I entered 4, but got the message no tickets match your request. I tried all different numbers: 1, 2, 3, but the same message. I also tried Greensboro and Atlanta but got the same thimg. I tried for 20 minutes and finally gave up. Apparently these scalpers are able to get in when us common folk can't. I can't believe the artists aren't trying to do something about this. I told my teens that the only way I would pay $500 a ticket would be if The Jonas Brothers picked us up in a limo, took us out to eat, let us sit on the stage, and took us home after the show.
I told them not to get their hopes up because I had been reading all these stories of people being shut out. They did get to see The Jonas Brothers in July at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach and they got to go backstage to meet them. I told them that they got as close as they probably ever will and to just be happy about it.
Oh, and tickets for The Police went on sale at 10 a.m. and there are still tickets available for them. Hannah Montana sold out before The Police...GO FIGURE!
