Halloween Quest PTR~~THE TRIP IS OFFICIALLY OFF!

I arrive before you on Sept 29 and I am there through Oct 4...

Jessica is driving down Sunday the 2nd and staying till Oct 4th...

I was teasing when I asked if I could be one of your children though not inviting myself to your room. :)

You & Jess could stay with us on the 2nd and 3rd if you'd like!! Addy & Anthony would be on one bed in your room & you & Jess would have to share the other one......but the offer is there if interested!!

Wo-Hoo!!! I name you #1 Adopted Mom!

You are getting so brave, Laurie. I make all the travel plans for my family and usually my daughters family. I do keep everyone informed in case there is a date, time, or event request. I did have to realize that I only make the plans I am not in charge of their fun. I do not feel obligated to make sure they have a good time. I must say I used to as I was one doing planning but I learned I am only in charge of me not others. So don't let that happen to you. You are just making plans.

I think the surprise in room is a great idea. To save a few dollars I would get most of the items my self. Make a basket for each child, but have room decorated ahead of time. I use the basket bags you can get at dollar store. They are easy to use and make the baskets look like pros packaged everything. Making baskets your self means more items for the kids :).

Addy and Anthony are at age they will remember this trip for ever. My grand daughter and grand son had so much fun on their first trip they still talk about Disney this and Disney that. Lils thinks we can go back like tomorrow she has no idea how far away it really is. Can you tell we flew--LOL.

When we took Krista and Mike to Disneyland for her "last" trip before Austen was born we had me Dale Mike Krista in one room. Mike asked if his hometown buddy (they have known each other 30 years) that was living in Arizona, could room with us to. Mike could then have someone to ride the thrill rides with as Krista was 5 months along with Austen. I, of course said Yes whats one more? LOL. We did not have much room with adding that roll away but boy did we have fun. Bob fit right in. Others thought it was strange but oh well we all had a great time. Husband just takes it all in stride.

The kids still remember going at 3 yrs old......they love the trips but we've never been able to afford to stay on-site with them. I'm an uber-planner......I do all the planning of where to stay, dates, meals & when to catch the entertainment. The rides we just go as we please.

My passes expire in September and I'm not sure when I will go again. I'm sure that my school will mark my absence unexcused.

Hopefully you get to go back before too long!

Laurie - did you know that you can phone ahead and request personalized autographed photos for each person for FREE??? I've done this several times and it's a great surprise that costs nothing but the phone call ;) You can request what character for which person - always a hit :thumbsup2 I usually do that and order chocolate strawberries or cookies and milk as a suprise (which are not free, but relatively inexpensive - if you can say that about anything at Disney :rotfl:)

Wo-Hoo!!!

I haven't made any dining plans. I'm thinking I may plan one or two things but otherwise just wing it.

I can't wait to see the park hours!!

I know, it's getting close now......I'd feel much more at ease if our check was here & I knew there wasn't going to be a problem. Hard to be super excited when we're still on pins & needles.....no check.....no trip!!!

Paula on Sunday & Monday (kinda the days we'll be hanging out) we're planning on Goofy's Kitchen, PCH Grill, Carnation Cafe (brkfst) & Celebration BBQ (prob prior to party) If you or Jessica are interested in joining us for any of those, let me know before Tuesday morning & I can add you to our ressie. Don't feel like you have to join us.....just an offer!!

Just had to share this.....I actually replaced the Christmas picture on the very first post with this.......since I had originally started this PTR as a Christmas time one......this one seemed more fitting!!!!
