Halloween Fantasy On The High Seas - Eastern October 24th 2015

Hi everyone! I'm so new to this! :) This is our 1st Disney Cruise! We did a Carnvial cruise in 2011 and conquered WDW Oct '13. Along with me (Colleen-33) will be DH35-Leland, DD9-Tara and DD5-Brynn. We can't wait!

You will LOVE Disney! We actually really enjoy Carnival but for other reasons. We do every other year without kids and for those we do Carnival so that in itself makes for a very carefree cruise. We also have quite a few friends that we sail with on those as well so it's more about the company that makes it for us. You can't beat Disney though as far as service food and entertainment. If it wasn't for our friends that do Carnival we would probably stick to Disney. Although slowly I'm converting them. One of the couples that we converted last year said "I'll NEVER do Carnival again" lol 3 couples down 4 more to convert. :rotfl:

Lucky you:thumbsup2

I actually wanted to mention that I'm going away for about 2 weeks so I may not do any updating to our first page while I'm away.
Of course I'll try to get on while we're on vacation because otherwise I'll go
through electronic gadget withdrawal:sad2:
But I have to sneak around Bob to do so:headache::rolleyes1

So take note any new people, I'll get to adding names and stuff when I have the chance on vaca or when I return.

Enjoy your vacation! I have a son getting married 2 weeks today:scared1: So I have to sneak on here too with all the crazy running around.

Thanks Dawg! It will be good to see you and Robin again.

Hey I see we are still waiting for your trip report from your 2013 cruise…. Aren't you retired now?? What's the hold up?! :surfweb:

Trip report? Now you know I'm not a very good story teller.:rolleyes1
I am retired, but you don't want to see me get censored doing a trip report, do you?popcorn:::bitelip:

I wish all of those!
No, we just got back from Pittsburgh for Bob's nephew's 2nd birthday:goodvibes
Now, we're off tomorrow to visit friends on Seabrook Island in SC. A half hour or so away from Charleston. Nice private beach:beach:
I'll try and check in, if Bob isn't looking;):rolleyes1

Hi Rose....Hijacking your meets thread a little to say Hi. (We sailed with you in 2011 on the Dream.) My DD & I will be on the Fantasy just before you will. We are sailing the Western Fantasy Oct. 17-24, 2015. We'll try to keep her in good shape for all of you.

Unless anyone else is just dying to start the FE group, Dave (he's Dragon1165 on here) and I will be in charge of gathering everyone's information (names, ages, sexes, special events, email addresses, mailing addresses, phone numbers, cabin numbers). If someone else would rather do it, that's ok. But since no one up to this point has said they'll be in charge of gathering info and then redisbursing it to everyone, we'll be happy to do so.

First of all a couple of questions for everyone. What are the feelings of the group of having a limited number of people in an FE group? Like 12-20 cabins? When we get to our "golden" number we can start a second group. Anyone wanting to participate in more than one FE group would be welcome to do so.
Would there be those that are interested in JUST doing FEs for couples/cabins as opposed to each member in the cabins? Or JUST doing the kids (little through teens)?

These are suggestions I've read on our own fb page as well as a fish extender group on fb. Obviously nothing is set in stone and we don't want to be dictators of the FE, we want it to be group ideas, decisions, and most of all FUN!!!!

Thank you Dave and Shelly for volunteering to organize the FE group(s). I would be happy to assist with organizing the information if you would like some extra help. In response to your questions, I would find it helpful to limit the capacity for each group with the option of joining additional group(s) for those that want a larger experience; 12-20 seems like a good range. A thought would be to work on the first group of 20 and then see if there is a demand for an additional group and so on. I am not partial to any particular group demographic and would be fine signing up with the first group. The informational categories mentioned in the original post are comprehensive and would help everyone to tailor gifts to the individual or family. I am excited to have an opportunity to enhance our cruise experience within our Disney community.

Also, I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My DH (Joe) and I (Julia) just signed up this week for our first Disney cruise. The ages of our children at the time of our cruise will be DS(11), DD(11), and DS(9). This cruise is to thank my family for enduring the last four years while I worked to complete my Ph.D. Needless to say, we will all be ready to relax and have some Disney fun!

Shelly and Dave, Myself (Terry) and BFF (Penny) would love to join your FE group. Please put us down.

Welcome aboard!! :sail: (and congrats on the Ph.D!):worship:

Julia, Thanks for offering the help with the FE management--we may just take you up on that! Also an apology for not getting back here sooner. Dave through me a loop this week. He down next to me on Monday and said, "If you could go anywhere on a cruise for our anniversary [it's our 10th this year], where would it be?" I said, "Anywhere as long as you're next to me." To which he said, "How about Alaska?" Well, I almost tackled him out of his chair!!! Then I said, "Yeah, Alaska would be great!":yay::yay: Well we are boarding a plane Aug 30 to board the Disney Wonder on Sept 1!! So I've done nothing but try to get plane and hotel reservations, figure out where I'm going to find warm clothes this time of year (especially living on the MS Gulf Coast), and trying to wrap my brain around the fact that we're finally going to go on our dream vacation--to Alaska!!! We've poured through all the excursions trying to figure out what will be best for us (and the $$), watched youtube videos, etc. Didn't mean to put this cruise on the back burner, but I had to get things straight for a trip that is in like 70 days!

Terry, I would have been surprised if you hadn't done the FE with us!

BTW, for the rest of y'all, Terry and Penny are my two BFFs that are listed in our signature and part of our family group going!

Hey, Mom and Dad (otherwise known as Dragon1165 or Dave and Shesesewsall or Shelly) have gotten me hooked into seeing what's going on here on DISboards. So I just thought I'd say "Hi!"

Alaska!! Wow! Nice!! :woohoo:
Perhaps you'll share some pictures with the class when you get back!:teacher:

Hi Rose,
Go ahead and add Sean and I to the first page. This cruise will be a completion of sailing all the Disney ships...and....if we manage to do the WBPC cruise in May, after this cruise, I will be a platinum member :cool1:

This cruise will be first priority. So come heck or high water, we will be on it!
(I think we should call it the "I need a vacation from my best cruise ever vacation"

OK, Shelly, the FE project is yours:thumbsup2
I'll start adding people in on the first page.

I'm thinking 15-20 in a group sounds good. However you would want to plan it is fine with me.
