Decided to go to WDW BCV before the cruise so looks like we'll arrive Oct 23, 2006. Almost fell off the chair last night the DW said lets do Hoop Dee Do Review, blow me over with a feather. Had a great time there with the kids & gk's, never thought she'd go with just the two of us. Have AP's from 1999 with 2 days left so I think we'll do epcot and maybe Blizzard Beach, loved the tube ride. Busy year for us, so looking forward to the cruises. Wish we could afford to go every month. Might be doable to do a month like January 2008, Read that article about the ship that goes around the world and you can live on for any amount of time you want, even years at a time

Hey that is what we are thinking of doing...
We are going to arrive on that sunday before I think it is the 22nd and stay at SSR and then leave for the cruise the next sat...
I too love the hoop de doo review....

Kritter,
I'm afraid I don't watch either of those shows. I missed the boat when they first started, and never felt like I could catch up after that. I LOVE Survivor & Apprentice. I also LOVE King of Queens & American Idol (I know, I'm a geek!) And my all time favorite, was Friends....so sad it's gone:(

That is right..I do remembrer you telling me that..I only watched IDOl when I was in the hospital gave me something to do and my friends would come and bring desserts and we would watch it....
Ilove apprentice and all survivor...How could donald fire four of them the weeek before..
Boy it does sound like you have a busy sunday....
Dh saw your kdis picture last night and said how cute they were....
Had a boring day today tomorrow my week begins with all ofthe weekly activities and all..
talk to you soon...
Got any good dessert recipes need to send the twins to school next week with each a snack from a different country..UGH!! what to make what to make??> ANY IDEAS!!??????????

Terri Hatcher AKA Susan looked CRAZY! I did feel bad. She ALWAYS gets caught she should have known better. That's funny you say that about Gabrielle. Of course she should be showing. I wonder if she'll really have a baby.

Hello?!! Did I not tell you thay are going to drag this out with Meredith. Clearly he's still in love with her. He's trying to do the "right thing" and stay with his wife. It's not the right thing when he is so in love with another woman. The pregnant guy...freak!!

Jen,
Oh my gosh she did look grazed but on good morning amerca this morning they were talking about how this was the best ending ever and how hard it was for her to make this ending,etc....

Prg, guy was scarey even Dh said WOW!!!!!!!!!!!

You were sooo right about merideth and them draggin it out....But I am wondering what will happen with the other one dr. wang is it and the other dr.....she is not nice and does not seem into their realtionship at all...how about when the lady's heart caught on fire..was that freaky or what..I woke Dh up by screaming soo loud...that was weird....got to hand it to them they had some weird things happen last night.....

ok went to yet another jewerly party tonight... getting so sick of these home parties the best thing about it was the lemon drop martinnis I want the recipe any one have it????
Ok you found me out I am soo addicted to martinni's I mean in not a bad way but I like trying differnt ones..do not want anyone to get the wrong idea here or anything...

jen whatever happened with the teacher and all...
hey I think we lost the captain he has not been around in a while???????????

'ello!

The Captain is not "lost" - just recovering from the Holloween party and Holloween in general. Been busy with one thing after another.

On the morning I was supposed to pick up live crab for the party I got drawn into helping set up a "who are we" display for the teachers in our daughters' class. I donated an LCD projector/screen and a couple of computers so the teachers could have a presentation for the class and they were a bit timid about messing with my stuff to set up. So - one thing led to another and I wended up starting my pick up chore on the crabs 3 hours late.

Not exactly the best way to start a day - but all turned out well - sort of. It ended up being quite busy and I invited an extra family to the party that otherwise would not have attended - except I ran into them at the school function in the morning. So they got my Prime RIb allocation and we had exactly enough for everyone originally planned. That's OK - as we had other stuff and there was plenty.

SO - I have not exactly read backwards through the thread yet - but I see there's some chat on TV shows. Off hand - I only watch a few shows and otherwise not anything consistently. Mostly movies, History channel, Star Trek stuff and DIY, Travel channel, PBS, news, but not any sitcom series or "hot" shows typically. AnD I am not much of a sports fan. But I am psychotic enough to have just picked up next years' Holloween costume for myself and my spouse on Ebay - set us back near $300 for the pair... and that was sort of a good deal. My spouse still glaces at me with a "he's cracked" look when I talk about it. But heck - since we just marked our 22nd anniversery of our 1st "date" a few days ago I would say she's entitled to flash as many "he's cracked" glances as she wants!

Anyways - no asking WHAT our costumes are - it's a surprise. But I will entertain .... guesses. That is - for anyone who cares to venture a guess. I will have to set "limits". That will be 3 guesses per screen identity and ONE yes or NO question permitted per person who wants to try and guess either of our costume characters.

OK... gotta go -

TTFN....

Hello cap,
and welcome back...
Sounds like you have been busy....Have any pictures that you can let us see from the party?? Would love to see them...
Wow we are not really going that over board for costumes for next year...I am betting that your costumes are sci-fi related.....Bet this is the reason they costed so much money..Dh has a darth vador costume that I made for him I should have him be that on the cruise....He won a prize for that costume....My kids are sooo excited about the halloween cruise...Toobad it is so far away....

Hoep your kdis are well..Off to go shopping and then taking the kdis to Mcdonalds..
hope hanna---the kids are so excited they just typed their names for you.....

Captain,
Based on your avatar, I'm going to guess Aladin & Princess Jasmine. But, judging from your TV tastes, I'll bet it's something far more inventive. My husband loves the History Channel also. He is usually watching that or ESPN.

Kritter & Princess,
So your show involves a pregnant GUY? Oh, I may just have to tune in to that! How in the world do they explain how this happened? Or was he "implanted" somehow?! I can't imagine.

Has anyone seen Chicken Little yet? I've heard it's very funny. Not sure when we'll get out to see it. I know we'll be at the movie theatre on Nov. 18th, though. Harry Potter opens, and my son will be bursting out of his skin to see that. Must see it on Ultrascreen!

Actually....

.... for THIS past Holloween I WAS Jafar ... it was a dlx Disney outfit I got on Ebay from Disney.... only 30 bucks or so.

Have not seen the Chicken movie yet. Perhaps in the next few days though as we had interest in it.

And the Darth Vader costume sounds pretty cool. Those sort can get pretty technical in detail - and pricey too. :goodvibes

As for photos - I snapped a few but they're on another computer and the bulk of the photos are with my friend. I just drafted a link to an upload album so he can try and give me a copy. If I get them anytime soon I'll post a link here. :confused3

Oh, and Kritter.....thanks for the compliments about my kids. I of course think they are adorable,(I'm a little bit bias) but it's so nice to hear it from other people as well! Your little princesses are adorable also. I'd love to see other pix of them. From what I can recall from the "blue paint" pix, it looked like they had grown some since the pix on your sig.

Can't wait to meet you, Hope & Hannah!

Captain,
How about a clue and then we can all start guessing...????

Buck,
yes they have grown this was last feb. their pict. on the sig...I will post some others...my dad always takes a ton of black and whites of them..I love b and w's they are the best..Are you going to dress up for halloween on the cruise???
Ok off to target to do some more christmas shopping...
Yes the show with the prg. guy is the best....it is greys anatomy and the dr. on it is soooo hot.....
talk to you guys tonight...

Clues....

Well... it IS supposed ta b a SUR-prize of sorts. Have you sorted out what YOUR costumes will be next Holloween?

I wasn't trying to make it EASY. I offerred anyone reading a chance to ask ONE Q, then 3 guesses. That is ... per screen identity.

For a clue - I'll just say my spouse and I sort of "go together". Ah-ha.... now I know that's not a huge clue - but it is a clue just the same.

Just think - you can get even when it's time for us ta guess YOUR costumes! :goodvibes

go togetherr that is not a "REAL" clue we need something more than, that....

I do think it would be fun to dress up for Halloween on the cruise. I'd love to match as a family.

Captain, I know I already guessed, but here's a "yes" or "no" question for you.....Are you guys going to be dressed as characters from a TV show or movie?

 Buckifan,.....

.... Now is a good time to "fish" for decent costumes on clearance. My costumes were probably not exactly cheap - but by my reckoning I figure the regular "full" price for my new costumes (just 2 for spouse and I) runs 750 (not counting potential taxes or shipping) and we spent approximately 265 so far (inc/ taxes and shipping). Most of the stuff I ordered is coming from Singapore and shipping ran $42.50 or 28.2% of the cost of the "costumes" ordered at $150.50 ... but we saved 8% as there was no sales tax. I'm still hunting for 2 minor "detail items" that ought to cost no more than $40. So our estimated savings is $800+ in costumes for under 300 including taxes and shipping. That is like saving approximately 62.5%.

Now, my spouse thinks I've gone over-board a bit on this. As last Holloweens' costumes ran under $65 for 4 costumes for the bunch of us. Their original retail cost ran well over 220 total. But - we were fortunate to have found 3 of these at deep discount clearance for $5 each. I'd guess that the 3 five dollar costumes had an original retail of $25 or 30 + tax. The Jafar ran about $35 and accessories were another 15 or so. I made a cobra staff that shot silly string :earseek: by taping a can of silly string to the top of a broom stick - wrapping it in aluminum foil and shaping it into a cobra head with mouth open where the string shoots out - then I spray painted the thing gold. The staff shooting "snake venom" was great fun and always good for smiles and a predictible pattern of stares and questions! A lot of kids at our church holloween party thought the staff was the "coolest" gimmick at the party!

The down side was I spent a minute every time after I shot the cobra "venom" to PICK UP the mess .... as I wanted to leave NO MESSY string behind. I quickly learned to avoid cameras and hair with the silly string!

So - for a family of 4.... you could be as creative as U like.... Or not  . In many ways the new 2006 costumes for myself and spouse are not particularly creative - but they are probably leaning towards being fun, slightly elegant and probably exotic with the tailoring and degree of detail accuracy attempted. [there's a clue of sorts] I recall hearing or seeing folks as .... dressed all in light blue with big cotton wads attached and they had a hand held atomizer with water. They were "partly cloudly with a chance of showers". Ocassionally they converted into partly cloudy with a chance of T storms! Imagine that! They sprayed everyone who asked what they were!!!! I love that sort of thing!!!! :Pinkbounc

I thought someone mentioned that they were going to have a Holloween contest/parade on the Magic. For last Septembers' cruise I modified the Jafar costume to be an "exotic pirate" and my family were all pirates. I used self illuminating glow stick "straw sized tubes" to enhance various parts of our costumes. Our swords were self illumated by glow sticks taped on to their outline. We'll probably recycle most of the gear for next year's pirate nite. Except we're likely to enhance the costumes with new detail pieces. I at least need a decent parrot for my shoulder. pirate:

I spent a little more than I should have because we have the ships costume parade + 2 major costumed opportunities next year - including a Holloween costume dinner party we'll be hosting. So.... my original "clue" that my spouse and I sort of "go together" is fitting as we're hosts for one costumed event next year.

AND.... I am still trying to think of a decent clue that doesn't give away too much! Everyone already knows next years' costumes are NOT pirates or Jafar.... OK... how about this.... our costumed characters are romanticly involved with one another. Does that help? If not - remember I offerred to entertain ONE question (yes or no answers only) from each screen identity that cares to enquire and GUESS at what my costumes are. No more "FREE" clues from me now. This was not intended to be an "easy" opportunity at guessing! :confused3 Any takers? :rolleyes1 OK.... I'll modify my terms by saying I'll allow ONE yes or NO question per screen identity after each GUESS... with one yes or no question permitted BEFORE the first guess. So - everyone gets 3 yes or no questions and 3 guesses. That's potentially A LOT! I'll honor these terms until the end of this year for any who find this and wanna guess and question us! :goodvibes
