I do think it would be fun to dress up for Halloween on the cruise. I'd love to match as a family. I have NO IDEA what we would be. This year I was a witch, to match Kylie....and I made a cute, EASY costume for dh. Just took a black t-shirt and attatched the slogan "got milk?" and he painted a white strip above his lip. That's about as dressed up as he gets. But, maybe I can convince him to get a little more into the spirit of things for next year. He actually did get a lot of comments from people that they liked it, though!

Captain, I know I already guessed, but here's a "yes" or "no" question for you.....Are you guys going to be dressed as characters from a TV show or movie?

The got mild idea was really cute and orginal one year our friend dressed up as a can of guinness..it was really cute and fun....
I have talking to dh about dressing up..

UGH!! we all got flu shots today me included anyone ever have bad experiences with the shots??

In response to your questions:

Bukifan..... ....Are you guys going to be dressed as characters from a TV show or movie?..... YES

Kitter..... Are your costumes disney related??.......NO

Now I need guesses.... OR since this is pretty tough starting with relatively little insight.... I'll volunteer one more yes or no question prior to your first "guess".... :)

goin thru MAJOR withdrawals from last week...... :confused3

I followed every word you uttered last week. Very funny stuff. Very informative also. Withdrawal bites. Been there. Just keep looking at your pictures and remember all your spa treatments............. like buttah!!

Buckifan..I had the misfortune of seeing your husbands costume in an "R" rated version. Clever either way I guess. The pregant man actually had a tumor with teeth and hair. Very strange however it does happen.

Crash.... I guess Zoro and his lovely wife.

Kristin - got mildly fluish after a shot one year. I have parent/ teacher night in about an hour. Any chance you watch Lost? Can't wait to see it tonight. Since you admitted to one of your guilty pleasures(martinis) I'll admit to one of mine... I LOVE the show Nip/Tuck. Such a guilty pleasure.

Princess....

.... you have the honor of being the 1st to venture a guess...

... and Zorro and his pretty counterpart make for a great guess. I only wish "I" had thought of getting a costume for that couple! SO -sadly my reply must be a "no, it's not". I just don't have the Antonio Bandaras moves or the Errol Flynn flambouancy (wuz dat misspelled?). Plus I'm not sure I can get my spouse to run around in a skirt, sword and corset (which flys apart with a few sword swipes... like the one in the movie) all that easily. :rolleyes1 Besides... getting a nicely tailored Zorro costume must cost a bundle for just the BOOTS that either character wears!

I think the Zorro and girlfriend costume set will be on my 2007 holloween shopping list of "gotta gets" if I can find one of suitable quality!

But Princess... you are now elgible for up to 2 or 3 yes or no questions if any arise to help corner me on costume insights. Plus officially in this unofficial guessing game you have 2 guesses left,... I guess. :goodvibes

And Lynne (Tenor)..... if you don't mind jumping a cast member (for their oufit and ID card) and donning appropriate garb I'd be happy to run "interference" on the gangway so you can have a chance of sneaking past security. AND... if that fails, I'll bring a long rope ladder that I'll set up over the side of the ship at a predetermined time and place ... no sweat! But once aboard - all I can offer for cabin arrangements since all our berths are taken - is to order spare sleeping linens and help set you up in one of the conference rooms on deck 2. I know it's effectivly an inside cabin with no bathroom - but the elevators are right there and there are toliets right off the elevator on the other decks. Food will be easy if you don't mind top siders. Oh, I guess you won;t have an easy time getting on and off the ship in port but that's OK if the cruise is free eh? On the plus side, the conference room will have as much square footage as a catagory 1 - and it would be free - unless you get caught in mid cruise and left at St Marteen or St Thomas. In which case your only expense will be airfare back to Port Canaveral/Orlando! For sleeping space perhaps it would be easier to bring a tent and sleeping bag and you could set up on the secret veranda on deck 7 aft!?

TTFN! pirate:

Crash- At first I wasn't going to get sucked into this guessing game because I become obsessed with finding the answer. Well, I'm now obsessed thank you very much. I have ideas but I'll take my first yes or no question.

Are you from an action / Sci-Fi movie?

p.s. I'm a guessing cheater so if I don't get it in my three tries (you don't have to answer me) I'll be throwing things at you all year!! OCD is a terrible disease. Have pity on me :rotfl:

Captain,

No you will be bothered by all till we find out the answer

REMEMBER you are dealing with women here!!!!!!!!!!!!AND WE will win you over.....

I just bought our costumes youhave inspired me.......

How is the school situation playing out......????

According to her teacher, better. Thanks for asking. Both kids got glowing reports. Happy with that.

What did YOU buy for costumes?! Friends don't keep secrets he he :earboy2:

Great glad to hear things are better for now at least...stay in touch with her....

I will tell you but not the captain till he tellls I will pm you...

YOU FOLKS are so .... (as Aunt Em "sort of" said on the Wizard of Oz)...

... so .... (I can't say). So much tension and we've only had ONE GUESS so far. And such intense drama already.

OK... Princessss.... our costumes hail from an "action/sci fi" movie. :earsboy:

And dear Kritter... may "I" venture 2 questions as to your costume(s) just as I already offerred 2 Qs to you about MY costumes prior to 1st guess?

Question #1 = Are your costumes related to Disney in any way?

Question #2 = Do any of the costumes depict an animal like character (not personality - rather, an animal appearance like a winnie the pooh or tigger - those are NOT guesses - just examples).

See... I can play nice and not grump. AND - if anyone absolutely has to know NOW what my costumes are - please feel free to simply ask so I can wrangle on it for a few postings while I mull the possibility of revealing the answer ... or NOT? Heh - hee.... :rotfl:

And NO, I am NOT a rascal... contrary to what my spouse has been saying for 22 years! Nov 4th 6PM was the 22nd anniversary of our 1st date! We marked it with steady smiles and a relaxing evening of just watching our kids running around going nuts in a semi-controlled manner.

AND.... on the innoculation issue... yeah, we've never had or heard of anyone 2nd hand having any issues. I think the possibility of an issue arising is extremely remote. But say I said so when you have a one in a 1KK event!

TTFN... I have to run to the airport shortly. My dear spouse had her Newark flight reshuffled and she can't make her final connection from LAX to the regional flight into Oxnard airport. So I have to run down at midnite to pick her up - then tomorrow AM we're off to San Luis Obispo for a nite and we pick up her car in the AM from the Oxnard airport - leaving MY car there til we return on Friday. It's musical chairs with cars and airports spread over the next 2 nights.

So I'll be off line til tomorrow evening some time when we check into our hotel.

Princess - you can get even by making ME guess your costumes when you have settled on what you'll bring for next year!

Adios and TTFN again!

I think it is something from star wars??

I was so MAD!! She was becoming a great character. They could have done a lot with her. Craig called it when she was shot. He said it was the girl with the gun. What's up with Walter? Where is he and what is he doing? Next week looks cool. They're going to take us to the other group from the beginning. That could be a whole season alone!

I was horrified....that was crazy how they did that... Bruce said teh same thing as craig....
Wonder what will happen tonight....Best night of tv....
Tomorrow we can discuss tonight....

You can put DW and myself down for this cruise. We did the DVC members cruise this year and were planning to do the 2006 trip. But with no ports of call other then two stops at CC and the spa being closed during the trip we decided to take a pass. So we were trying to decide on maybe doing a 3 or 4 night cruise and couldn't decide so we added the days together and decided on a 7 night. See ya all!

Hi RAD. Glad to have you along. It should be a fun cruise with it being Halloween.

I have a question. Why do we need to get up so early for immigration in St Thomas? Other times I've been there on a cruise we haven't had to do this. Is it because we are in St Maarten the day before? :confused3

I really wanted to watch all the shows last night. The previews looked so good (did Grace get back together with Harry?). However, my best friend left for Hawaii and I'm taking care of her daughter (Olivia's best friend) so we all watched Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. I did see the ther last 1/2 hour of Apprentice. He's firing everybody!! Going to see Chicken Little today. Fun, fun, fun..............

We decided to go see Chicken Little today also! Today is Kylie's 6th birthday! We are going to meet dh for lunch, then the kids and I will see Chicken Little. This evening, we are meeting my parents and grandma for dinner to celebrate her birthday together. No cooking today, YEAH!!!! Might as well be MY birthday!

I was having a hard time last night when I went to bed, looking at my little baby that is now 6 years old. It doesn't seem possible. She has grown so much this year. She learned to ride a 2 wheel bike in the early summer, then learned how to tie her shoe in late summer, and has recently lost all 4 of her front teeth. How do I stop this?

Time. It is one of the most difficult things for moms. As girls we dream of getting married and having babies. When we do we are so caught up with diapers and bottles and every day life that one day we turn around and our babies are grown. Especially the youngest. In our heads we may or may not acknowledge that it's our last baby. The last baby represents so much to us. It's our last of many firsts. It can be very depressing. I watch Cameron growing and tell myself you can have another................deep down I know that will never happen but it sometimes eases the discomfort of watching my baby boy become a big boy and in turn someday a man. Luckily Cam is a very young 7 year old. He only lost 1 tooth so far and still loves cartoons and kiddie stuff. I know those days are getting shorter. It makes me sad as well. I also have days where I can look on the other side and try to embrace all the things I can do with them now that they are older. Olivia loves to get her nails done and watch romantic comedy movies with me. I can have more conversations with her rather than constant instruction.

Kiss her happy birhday. Take lots of pictures and drink in the day as another fabulous memory to tuck away and recall for the day she becomes a teen ager!! She is still a baby. 6 is the sweetest of ages.
A hug from me to you!
Jen

Just wanted to stop by and say hi and welcome to Rachel and Rad. Rachel it looks and sounds like you had a great group on your recent cruise. We have cruised with Beano and Tim twice before and they are a lot of fun.

Supposed to be sunny and 80 this weekend so I am going to start on the Christmas lights. I like to turn them on Thanksgiving night and it takes me 3 days to set it up. Actually 2 days to set up and 1 day trying to figure out how to get everything plugged in.

Kelly got her gymnastics competition schedule and we have 2 meets in Orlando ( 1 is at Disney) one in Colorodo Springs and one is in Charleston, SC so we are planning those trips now. Once gymnastics is over than we only have 2 months to wait until the May cruise.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Dave
