Halloween at DL

Is Halloween day itself a busy day at the parks at DisneyLand?

Do they have any special activities on that day?

We went on Halloween day and it was very quiet. (it was a weekday that year). They did not do anything special. The characters were all out for photos that day and my DD got to ride the Toon Town Roller coaster with Minnie mouse. That was the best part of the day! Maybe it will be different this year as its the 50th????
