Hallmark Christmas in July 🎄 comfort & joy ❤️

Did you like it? Did you think it was good? Or a hard pass on this one? Especially in light of what happens in the spoiler part?
Not the person you asked, but I enjoy it. I have the DVD! Without spoiling, if you like London and George Michael/Wham (I watch it for the soundtrack as much as the movie), you'll probably like it. It's not super funny, but it has some cute, funny moments, as well as some touching moments. The overall message is sweet and positive and the cast is great. (Side note: This came out in Dec 2019 and goes down as the last movie I saw in a theater before Covid wrecked that experience once and for all.)

CBS has the Christmas movies it showed earlier On Demand:

  • When Christmas was Young (holiday movie starring Meghan Heffern, Tyler Hilton, Karen David and Hayley Sales. Executive produced by Sheryl Crow, who also contributed an original song. A music manager tries to secure rights to a holiday song for his client in order to rejuvenate both of their failing careers. (First Look)

You can watch the movie "Falling for Christmas"

I just picked up some potato latkes last night from Trader Joe's. I'm not Jewish, and I'm sure the Trader Joe's ones aren't as good as some authentically made one's I've had in the past, but it was that or regular potato pancakes. ..

Darn! I just realize I forgot to get sour cream. :headache:
We like them with sour cream as well!

I'm not entirely certain how we found this show but we did years back. We only watched a few episodes but boy were they hilarious. We still quote it every so now and then. Think it might be time to revisit them :)

This is my fear and why I've never tried to watch it. I truly cannot stand the song "Last Christmas" and I cannot believe how many times it has been re-recorded by so many others. I literally change the radio if it come on.....

I am not jewish and I know very little about Hanukkah/Channukah but I seem to always enjoy those movies. Finally watched the Matchmaker Hanukkah movie from this year and really liked it. So rather those than stupid Royalty movies! I think they're more realistic maybe.

Not a Hallmark movie, but DH and I watched Spirited on Apple TV, and would recommend it if you have that service. I was slow to warm up - thought it was kind of corny at first, but in the end I really enjoyed it! 🎄🎄🎄🎄

@disney4us2002 Then you definitely shouldn't watch this. The music is intrinsic to the movie. It would be like watching Mamma Mia but hating Abba.

I usually save some for the Jan-March time period when it can still be cold, dreary and I need some cheering up

I usually have a few movies left after Christmas. But last year, I was "Christmased" out about mid-Jan and didn't want to watch anymore. That worked out as then I have "new" movies to watch during Hallmark's Christmas in July.

This year, I don't think I saved enough good Hallmark movies to last very long. Somehow, I have several movies I'm only kind of interested in watching left. (Except for Hanukkah on Rye.)

I'm starting to go through the GA Family movies I missed earlier. And maybe a few UPtv movies, there are some that got a decent IMDb rating.

Catering Christmas is on the Great American Family (GAF) channel.

Description: Molly is struggling to launch her new catering business when she unexpectedly lands New Hampshire’s biggest event of the year. Meanwhile, Carson, who will be managing the event for his family’s foundation. Molly, who once was the beneficiary of the foundation’s generosity, takes Carson on a journey to learn about all the good his family provides to so many. The discovery inspires Carson to use his artistic gifts to create the most heartwarming fundraiser in the history of the foundation.

I really liked Catering Christmas. This was GA Family's movie during Thanksgiving weekend. I think they purposely showed a good movie then. I did think the food was a little too casual and the desserts not very professional looking, for such a posh event. But, if I'm only nit-picking the FOOD, you know the movie is good. :lmao:
🎄🎄🎄+1/2

This is also available on Hulu now.

It's also still up on YouTube:

I haven’t watched this one yet. I’m glad there are some good ones in the pile I have saved from various channels. It seems I delete one for every one I watch 🤷🏽‍♀️

I don't have much DVR storage left. Mostly because I have so many favorite Hallmark movies saved. :lmao: So, I keep juggling around the still unwatched movies to make space. "Do I want to keep this one or not? Will I really watch it, or does the story not seem appealing to me?" :scratchin
