Holidays at Disneyland 2025

I just did the Donald’s dinner at Storytellers and my character photos came out terrible. I want to do the Xmas meal but not if my photos come out as they did. They are all grainy and pixelated, I think the restaurant has bad lighting. Using an iPhone, any recommendations?

I rarely do character dinners, but a friend was in town so we did Donald's dinner at Storytellers. I thought the character interaction was really weak. They seemed rushed and we had to wrangle them to get a picture. We never got to see Donald or Daisy - they were walking around but never came to our table. I agree that the lighting is poor. Plus, the background (of people eating in a restaurant) isn't all that great. I would rather wait to meet a character in the parks than do that again.

Disneyland just released the dates for Christmas this year and everything coming up.

They are killing me with the Storytellers meals now, and really juicing it now, different characters for breakfast and dinner!

The new Storyteller character dinner looks great, however I wonder if they will be raising the price on it and I noticed for the Halloween dinner they have raised the prices for it, so I imagine Christmas will follow suit. These meals are really getting expensive now! Plus I never realised Goofys Kitchen auto grats everyone!

And the new Christmas outfits for Disneyland with the 70th flair look great. Wonder if they will come out with a similar three day pass deal they had for Disney+ last year!

Right??? I need a day just to do the meals. I have to go, I cant not go.

It's just a shame they don't have the Christmas Carol characters in the parks.

I'm usually the one at character meals stepping out into the aisle so I can minimize dishes, food and other diners in my shots.

I still travel with my DSLR at Disney and use a flash in the (many) badly lit character locations.

Did you accidentally turn off the auto flash mode?

My husband LOVES all the Christmas Carol movies so the feast is his one request for our December trip. He doesn't care what the food is, he just wants a pic with the characters 😄Hope it's not impossible to get a reservation.

The link in the first post here says...
You can also make memories at Goofy’s Kitchen Celebrates the Holidays! at the Disneyland Hotel or partake in Holiday Tea with Santa and Mrs. Claus at Hearthstone Lounge at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Reservations will be available soon! Keep an eye on Disneyland.com for more information.
Yes, thank you! I read the full post after my initial comment on this thread (oops!)

I recall that it was difficult for folks to book reservations for the Holiday Tea last year, and there may have been some trick to it- ie. how to best search for the reservations on the app, and/or perhaps something unusual about the timing (ie. rather than the usual 60 days out, reservations were dropped at a different time). Does anyone here recall their experience successfully booking the Holiday Tea last year?
