Hair wrap in for 5 months???

DS's usually last 5-6 months (one only lasted 2 and was clearly not as well done as most) . He has very thick hair and the hair in the wrap has never been damaged when the wrap starts to unravel and we cut it out.

My DD (she is 4) just got a hair wrap at disney last week. Her hair is about shoulder length. They charge by the inch and add $ for beads, the fancier the beads, the more $$. We got $4.50 in beads, and the grand total for the wrap was $28. The stylist said that the wrap should stay in from 2 weeks to 2 months.
