Gulf-Side Vacation where to stay???

We plan on spending the last week of our 2 week florida vacation at the beach(the first week we will be at the HRH). We have never done this before and are unfamilure with this area. We would like a clean place to stay that is family friendly. Also this will be Thanksgiving week so we are looking for a nice place to eat.

Any suggestions?

Hoe far do you want to go? There is Clearwater Beach, Sarasota area, FT. Myers and Sanibel. All great family areas. Let us know which area nad how afr you want to travel.

CPM Thanks so much for responding! We would like to stay anywhere from Clearwater to St pete in a gulf front property with a beautiful view. I have been looking at a few condos in the Maderia Beach area but I am a little nervous about renting from an owner. We would like to do a little fishing also. Any suggestions?

If you are nervous renting directly from an owner, look up some realty companies in the area and within their sites look for vacation rentals. It will be slightly more expensive since the realty company takes a cut but at least it will give you peace of mind.

As for fishing there are tons of boats to take you fishing. You'll see when you get there - there is something to suit anybody's taste.

When we vacation on the gulf side we usually stay in Maderia Beach. For the past 3 years we've stayed at the Maderia Norte Condominium directly across the street from John's Pass .
