I made it here a little after lunch today. I would imagine
@garneska was caught in the same slowdown on the turnpike that I was. The really bad part was that the accident was on the northbound side, so I’m not sure why southbound had to be down to 3 miles an hour.
@Stitch&Co. called out to me as I was about to go into the expo area and we talked for a few minutes. Glad you did. I will freely admit that I am the world’s worst at recognizing people “in the wild.” We went to brunch the other day, and everyone else in my family recognized the Falcons quarterback Penix sitting there at a table with his family, and I would not have known that was him unless he had come up and introduced himself. FWIW, I might recognize Joe Namath or Terry Bradshaw if I were to see them in person… (Yes, fill in your own punchlines). Maybe Peyton Manning or Mahomes simply because you can’t watch anything without seeing them in a commercial.
I do not have a single set of long pants with me. The closest thing I have are running tights in case this cool front shows up early, but I’ve been quite comfortable in a T-shirt and shorts all day.
The expo was very sedate, especially given the pictures I saw from yesterday. The lines were almost nonexistent. The longest I stood in any line was to say hi to Jeff Galloway. I had pre-ordered the race jacket and am pleased with it. In another radical departure from my usual Self, I bought a pair of the castle shoes and will be wearing them to walk around tomorrow. And the shirts are everything that we have been saying that they look like they are, so not the best work by run Disney. The merchandise shirts for the various races were better than the race shirts in many respects.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at HH tomorrow.
