Great unknown tips or secrets!

I know this is on the cruise thread...but it works for WDW or most any trip...I was always making a list of things to take and do before each trip...now, I have made a list that is saved on the computer...and as I realize things I have forgotten...I can go in an adjust, then when the next trip comes up...just print off another list...

I do that now too. Great minds must think alike. ;)

i bring an extra blanket from the room to the movie theatre with me. I get cold real easy and the movie theatre is really cold. We bring sausages cut into tiny pieces from the breakfast buffet to castaway cay with us to feed the fish. For some reason, the fish love to eat it. They come right up to you. Check out the game pavillion at castaway cay. They have a couple of ping pong tables, mini golf (just one hole), basketball, chess, and checkers. The kids loved it. There are chocolate chip cookies by the wraps and paninis.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned-but if you get motion sickness and don't have medication, go to the guest services desk. They have free chewable tablets you can get!

Didn't know this last tip - will add to the spreadsheet! Thanks, "Mom"!

No problem! My DH and I found this out by experience on the Wonder a couple of weeks ago. We had never been on a cruise before, and didn't expect to feel a bit strange when the boat started moving. The next day we went to guest services to ask where we could buy some medication, and they brought out a big box full! They told us we should have come sooner. We didn't get that bad, and we were fine-the tablets helped!

just noticed on this thread that you will be sailing on the same cruise 1/10/09 that myself & dh, will be sailing on. Hope to see you onboard. pat:banana: :yay: :woohoo:

subscribinh so i don't lose this thread. Gonna need it soon. Great tips

This may be a repeat, because I'm sure I read it somewhere on here... but forgot to apply it. Pack half of your stuff in your husbands suitcase and half of his in yours, that way if a suitcase is delayed or missing, at least you have half of your stuff in one suitcase. Same with the kids stuff. :thumbsup2 Boy do I wish I had done this!! In all my travels I've never been the victim of late or loss luggage. I guess I had it coming. We just got back from our trip to Disneyland (which was wonderful) but we had a tight connection at the Seattle airport. We made the flight but my suitcase didn't. (Note to self: maybe a two hour lay-over is not such a bad idea). It came on a much later flight and didn't make it to our hotel until 9pm. I was starting to panic. I literally just had the clothes on my back! The plans of getting a early start at rope drop didn't seem possible if we had to make a side trip to buy the essentials. I didn't even have a change of underwear or a toothbrush. :scared1: It's a really bad feeling. I will never do that again.:faint:

We watched a number of people on CC snorkeling without inflating their vest. If you do not inflate them the vest will provide little to no flotation support. There is a black inflation tube on the left side of the vest. To inflate the vest depress the tip and blow into the tube until the vest is inflated. When you release the tip the valve will close keeping the air in

I read this somewhere els re spa. when you sign before starting your treatment write in big letters, NO SALES PITCH. It stops them giving you the hard sell on the products, what a great tip by someone, I would HATE to have to go through that!

I'm implementing one I heard here right now....divide your families clothes between bags in case one gets lost. I have underwear for everyone spread between bags, casual clothes and dress up clothes spread between bags, swimsuits. If you see me in the same outfit for dinner all the time, one of the bags got lost, but at least I won't be wearing my husband's underwear.

Absolutly! On our last cruise, DH and I overheard someone talking about how the airline lost her luggage and it took 4 days to get to her at a port. In the meantime, she did not have her meds (duh :confused3 ) or a swimsuit. I never thought of it but she said...try buying a swimsuit on a cruise ship.

I always pack my swimsuit in my carry on - it takes me forever to find suits that fit me and I feel comfortable in - I could never just buy off the rack on the ship - or at the hotel giftshop! ;)
