Got Pixie Dust? A June 2009 PTR ~TR Link, Page 180

Oooh, I wanna be in the Light Lovers Club, too!

I'm going back in five weeks, so I'll be snapping a bunch of new ones...you know, for the club and all.

:welcome: You are going to have a blast! I have heard nothing but good things about Old Key West, and it is pretty centrally located! 10 days will give you a lot of time to see and do what you want -- I would love to stay that long! Are you planning on getting the dining plan?[/QUOTE]

Sorry I have been crazy with school and trying to get grade cards out that I let my computer time slip away. Now I am trying to play catch up. Yes we are doing the Disney dining plan. We are gonig to decide on some ADR in December when our family friend can sit down with me and my SIL. We figured that we could do are own things during the day but would like to meet up at night for dinner and hang out some. My SIL wants to eat at the Brown Derby which is fine with me as long as my daughter can eat off of the kid's menu because I don't know if she would like anything off of the regular menu.

I have 25 more Mickey heads to cut out and then I am going to put them on poster board for my count down in the house that will begin when we are 100 days out. Of course my husband thinks I am nuts but I can't help it that I am soooo EXCITED!!!! He is letting me do what I want and he is just going to enjoy the ride/trip. The only request he made was not to run his legs off and I promised him I wouldn't which is the reason for having all that time there.

Hey--I just wanted to shoot you a comment (I doubt CP will mind)--but we stayed at OKW this past June (around the same dates even) and I would HIGHLY recommend asking your friend to call Member Services and request the Hospitality House location for your reservation---that is the best area to stay! It is right next to a bus stop, the main hospitality area, the pool, marina, playground, and restaurants. We were in building 14 of that area (I believe the HH area is buildings 11-14). Have a GREAT trip!

I just looked at the comfirmation letter that she sent me and she has requested the vacation home near turtle pond pool. For me I have no idea where that is in relation to the rest of the spaces. She goes to WDW 2-3 times a year so I figured she was pretty up to date on this place. I do know that our family has a studio and her and her grandson are going to be in a 1 bdr apartmetn--I think. I just know that she said she would have the washer/dryer in her room.

I am so starting the Light Fixture thread, probably today. :thumbsup2

I am so looking forward to your light fixture thread LL.popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn::

Will you please post a link here when you do? I'm so excited!!! I bet a ton of pics will be posted on that thread. You'll start a whole new group..."LL Light Lovers"!

Where is this cutie???

*GASP*

Where oh where is that one??

Here is the Light Fixture Thread!

A World of Light: Light Fixtures at Disney

Somewhere in Animal Kingdom, but I'll have to go do some research on exactly where. I can do that on the 25th of November, because that's where we'll be going on arrival day.

Yep, that's sounding really good right now!!! :)

You know, the next time I go to Disney World I will totally be noticing the lights -- I must confess that I never really paid attention to them before.

MeMom, if I had to guess I would say that light looks like something that might be somewhere on Discovery Island...or Camp Minnie Mickey.

At my DD's school, her actual absense was considered "unexcused" yet the teacher is supposed to give you credit for the homework. :confused3 As a matter of fact, I don't even let the office know directly, it was to go through her teacher.

Whatever. This year it was just 2 days- tacked onto our 4 day weekend for Columbus Day. But next year will be a full week, probably during the beg. of Dec. so there won't be any days we can take to our advantage. :confused3

Oh, Julez, you are going back near Christmas??? For a whole week??? I can't wait to hear the details!!! :goodvibes

I understand about report card craziness only too well! I have heard fabulous things about Brown Derby -- there are several trip reports with some great pictures from there.

Don't worry -- you are in good company -- all of our husbands and loved ones make fun of our planning goofiness beforehand, but never complain once we are down there and see how it pays off. Charles was laughing his head off the other day when he asked to see my PTR and I showed him what I had posted so far. :goodvibes

There is a map of OKW around here somewhere...I will see if I can post a link since I know it is on this site.

Here it is.

Jackie. I can't wait for you to go all the way till next June. If I give you my free dining code for Dec. will you go for a weekend or something? :bitelip:

Oh, Jackie... where ARE YOU?! Have your students tied you to your chair? Do we need to send out reinforcements?!

:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: You're funny and sweet -- unfortunately we can't go right now, but those new AP rates for January and early Feb. are sure tempting.

I almost wished that they had tied me to a chair since that would mean that I was unable to move and jump around the classroom which is what I feel like I have been doing all week. It's all good now though and tomorrow I am going to attempt to sedate each grade level with a Halloween-themed movie (Disney's Sleepy Hollow in the 6th grade, Twilight Zone episode in the 7th grade, and a Hitchcock movie in the 8th grade). Hopefully that will keep their crazed selves quiet. :rotfl:

I really do hear that January 10 - 18th is the best time to go... :rolleyes1

Ah yes... Kyle will be watching everything he can to scare the proverbial pants off him today.

Boys.

OOoooh... movies for Halloween. You are a good teacher. ::yes::

The students were still pretty hyper, but managed to contain themselves each period.

Wishing you and yours a safe and Happy Halloween !

Thank you, MeMom! We had a good time -- Connor is having candy for breakfast -- I am such a bad mommy. ;)

I wish we could go then -- unfortunately teaching gets in the way. Do you think it is a bad thing that sometimes I think about getting a different job just so I can go to Disney in the off season?

Happy Halloween! Keep safe & have fun!

Thanks! What were your two for Halloween?

Nah. I keep trying to figure out a job for DH in Orlando when he gets out of school in a year! :lmao:

Hope you and your family had a happy Halloween, I hope you post up some pictures! :goodvibes
