Hmmmm. I will have to come up with a snappy title.
Hmmmm, let me think: what about A World of Lights: Light Fixtures at Disney?

Boy, I"m not sure. I mean, could you do it under the resort photos thread? But then it's not just resorts. Maybe the community board? Hmmm...
CP, any ideas?
Hmmm. I will have to ponder some more. I will probably start it this weekend.
We did just get back on Tuesday. When I returned with the Halloween Mickey ears my students became highly suspicious of my absence......![]()
We did have a wonderful time, it just went by far too quickly!
I'm wondering if I should start a Light Fixture thread. Do you think people would help me feed my addiction?![]()
Ooooh! Those are purdy! I am so starting the light fixture thread!
WOO HOO!I bet there are lots of us light fixture afficandos out there, it will be a great thread! I will be sure to take lots of pictures too in 15 DAYS when we arrive.
Time at Disney always flies by too quickly!
That's too funny about the Mouse ears! My students totally know about my Disney obsession -- I have one that will be absent all next week to be at Disney -- I keep telling her she needs me along so I can point out things like, "Look, there's Mickey Mouse -- he is a proper noun." I also have twins that are going over Thanksgiving -- they give me their countdown everyday -- on Tuesday, one said, "In 30 days I will be at Disney." Gotta love it!![]()
My students know about my Disney habit as well but since I teach at a poverty school I'm never sure what to tell them. It's very difficult to say "I'll be gone a couple of days next week to go to WDW" when they may not be eating over the weekend because they only get fed at school....![]()
Gosh that was a downer wasn't it? It really is a very rewarding experience teaching at my school, most of the students are very appreciative of anything I do for them.![]()
Feeding two additictions at once...AKL light fixtures:

How does your school handle absences of students due to family trips? Is it okay as long as they make up their work? Megan's school is pretty cool about it--but I know some schools out there make it so difficult for families who need to travel during non-break times.
Ummm, I am not sure how they handle it exactly in the front office. If I remember correctly, it is considered unexcused, and it is up to the teachers to decide if they will allow the students to make up the missed work. Of course, with me, how could I possibly penalize a student for going to Disney World? My student that is going this week looked a little miffed when I handed her the packet of work -- but, hey, we cover a lot during five days of school.
