Got MagicBand tracking info from Disney, but USPS isn't updating

Ok, maybe I'm overreacting a bit, but I got tracking information from Disney about my MagicBands being shipped Monday morning. On my MagicBand page on MDE, it gives a tracking number and says expected delivery is March 12 -14. However, when I click the link to track the package, USPS says:
"The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on March 7, 2016 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if/when available."

I'm afraid something has happened to the shipment and it has some how not been tendered to USPS for deliver.

So, my question to all of you is, should I be concerned about the lack of any meaningful info from USPS's tracking system or am I worrying over nothing?

I don't generally find USPS to always be great about updating. I still use them, but they don't update like UPS in my experience.

Edited to add: @AngiTN we must have been posting similar thoughts at the same time. Great minds! :goodvibes

To piggy back on Gwynne and AngiTN...relying on the USPS tracking is not even a possibility for me anymore. I pay a little more when I buy stuff online to use UPS or FedEx because I can count on their systems to be accurate.

Thanks. that's what I thought. I'm just being paranoid I guess.

It would be just my luck that some sadistic version of Stitch is sitting in a USPS office chomping on my MagicBand box!

Nope, nothing to worry about. USPS doesn't update at every transfer point unless you're paying for one of their upgraded services like Express Mail.

I wouldn't be concerned unless it hasn't shown up by the 15th. Or 16th. And even if it was eaten by Stitch, you'd still be able to get your MBs at the front desk of your resort. :)

My magicbands always arrive just fine and I too never had an update from USPS. They should arrive as stated.

They are from the government and there to help! I'll tag in with all the pp -- the tracking is worthless, my magic bands arrived in my hands but the USPS said on their website that they hadn't gotten them yet.
