Palo Brunch for One - too much food?

I go solo and I view it as I just I have to cruise more to try everything :D First time I went with sweet breakfast things and 2nd time I went for savory lunch things. Not sure what I'll go for the 3rd time, probably sweet again. Last time I asked waiter to not bring the bread as I knew there was no room in my stomach for that. I make it through half the pizza, a chicken parm, croissant, and just barely survived dessert. It was worth it though.

Are we allowed a takeout box if there are any leftovers? I'd hate to waste food.

Last question - Lasagna or Chicken?
I have also done both.

However, the Lasagna is the best I have ever had!
It just melts in your mouth!!!!!!!

Do make sure you try the almond croissant.

And for something that is not on the menu, you could try and see if you could get the grape pizza!!
It is delicious also!!!! It sounds strange but it is good!
It is an off menu item that many do not know about anymore.
We did have it on our June cruise on the Treasure!
We also had it on our February cruise on the Fantasy.
We had half grape and half margherita!

My husband loves the calzone, it’s not small but the crust is thin and lighter than ordering a pizza. Have an amazing solo brunch at Palo ordering as little or as much as you want. I do agree that I hate the stuffed to the brim food coma feeling for the rest of the day so I opt to just have the antipasto, the celery soup and the eggs Benedict.

I am taking my first solo cruise this September and I have booked Palo brunch.

I figured I will go where my tummy takes me.

I loved the old days where most of the items were offered on beautiful buffet tables. The amount of food was insane, but phenomenal. You could try a little of this or that, pasteries, cheese, seafood and various appetizers. The main courses were ordered off a menu.

Happy cruising everyone!

:earsgirl: 🚢 👍

I do not believe you are supposed to but on the Treasure in June we were able to carry out 2 almond croissants and other pastries.

My guess is pastries left over - not ordered more of but left from the OG plate - can be taken because they don't require refrigeration and/or reheating to be safe. There is no way to re-heat anything on board, and the cooler in the cabins don't get cold enough to keep it at a safe temperature.

I love the chicken and do like it much better than the lasagna. Each person has their own taste. You won't go wrong with either or both. In April, they did not allow us to take any leftovers like they did in the old days. I absolutely love, love, love the pizza. Get everything that you particularly like or sounds like you would like it.
