Got A Pin Code - Need Help from you Experts

Hi Everyone.

I have been reading these boards and loving all of your expertise. I have been hoping for a PIN code, but finally gave up. I had to pay for my package last week. Today I got a post card.

So, it's for 30% off, but the CM said it's a room only and I can't use it because I booked a package.

A couple of questions" 1) If I was to change to a room only reservation now, would I have to incur cancellation charges on my existing reservation?

2) It says $59 for a Value, but I am pretty sure that most of these codes are good for other resorts as well, is that true?

3) What would you do if you were me?

I'm surprised this card is for room only. I'd call again and ask for a supervisor to confirm that. This wouldn't be the first time that frontline CM's were wrong about something like this.

Cancelling your package could result in a penalty yes. But you might very well save way more than the 100$ penalty.

I'd call and ask for a supervisor to help you with your situation. Your circumstance is quite unique and would be worth asking for clarification from an experienced CM at the Reservations Center.

Hi! I just got off the phone with my mom and she told me she got one. So I nearly screamed and caused a car accident with my excitment as I yelled "DON'T THROW IT AWAY!!" I told her to keep it and read it to me when she gets home from work.

Do you recall what were the dates of the code?

Ta-daaa! I have MY postcard here - the dates are 7/29 - 8/2/07; 8/5/07-8/9/07, 8/12/07-8/29/07 and 9/2/07-9/29/07. Good luck.

Per the CM, this code is for ROOM ONLY at a VALUE ONLY. She looked for a "package" code and said that there wasn't one.

I didn't pursue it any further, since I am staying at the Wilderness Lodge and I don't want to stay at a Value.

Please, let me know if anyone is successful in getting this at a deluxe.

lol That's definitely NOT true.

I got POR for $105 a night inc tax and I've heard others getting Deluxes. There may however not be any availability at WL with the code.

I'm going to call later today and ask for a Supervisor.

I am at work, and already called once on company time. I think I better wait until my lunch hour to call again. LOL

No problem! I'm in the same boat. I have to wait til lunch to call. I think I might wait until I get home tonight, since I have to jump through hoops to find someone to help!

I really think we're stuck chosing between dining and a discount, which totally sucks! I want both!

I am willing to take the discount if it's at least $500 off my room. I think I will come out ahead of the dining plan paying out of pocket & would come home a few pounds lighter. I am paying for the dining plan already, which isn't cheap.

I just hope I don't get hit with some big fee for cancelling the package.

$500? Maybe if you're at one of the more expensive Deluxes, but I heard that the deluxe discount wasn't all that great. Plus, I really think there's no availability at WL, unless the CM didn't even try.

I received a post card with pin code today.....but I'm not sure how it's used.

I'm interested in going to WDW 9/27 - 10/4....the dates on the postcard are 9/2 - 9/29.

Would I be able to use this code for my entire stay or only for two nights??

Yeah, it does work out to a little over 30% for a mod, so it might work out for you.

Call and tell them that your friend booked a Moderate and you want to see if it's available at any Deluxe.

My friend is telling me that it's VERY limited at all of the levels, so it just might not be there.

I got it!!!!

I was able to get a CM that found the right code to apply it to a package!! So it isn't only for room only.

So the details:

POR standard 7 nights, 2 adults. 8 day PH and water park tickets and dining for $1906!!! Basically I get dining for free. Aug 14-21

I, too, finally got a CM who figured out how to book the discount with a package. Sadly, nothing at WL, but I did end up with a studio at OKW. The queen bed was always the reason DH and I wanted a deluxe. We saved $700 with the code. Woohoo.

I am indebted to all of you who post here on the disboard. Without you I would have paid rack rate.
